The current investigation explores economic and social implications of the Sunni-Shiite Muslim tension and competition to control the Middle East. The study aims to examine the influence of demographic and socio-physiological variables on feelings of animosity Arabs express towards Iran and purchasing Iranian products. The research design is quantitative. Data were collected from 108 Arab Sunni Muslim Jordanians who live in the capital of Jordan, Amman and the northern Irbid city over a period of 4 weeks, June, 2014. Five hypotheses were constructed for each dimension which collectively represent the first category of hypotheses, the second category was constructed to know if a significant relationship between the contents of the study model (the five dimensions) exists and this is the sixth hypothesis. A questionnaire has been developed to collect data consisting of 15 questions, distributed in Amman, Jordan, 242 questionnaires were valid to be analytically analyzed, these questions covered the five dimensions of the stu...

Covariance-based structural equation modeling was used to test Rahim and Bonoma conflict management styles and their relations to organizational agility and innovation performance. A total of 460 questionnaires were collected from the Jordanian telecommunication companies. Findings revealed that integrating style has a significant impact on the organizational agility and innovation performance. Organizational agility mediates the relationship between compromising and integrating conflict styles and innovation performance. The obliging, dominating, and avoiding conflict management styles have an insignificant effect on innovation performance. This research has significantly contributed to the existing literature where prior studies were mainly conducted in the Western context. The conflict management field is still unde...

Modifications were made to explain intention to use e-banking services.FindingsThe modified model explained 0.887 of behavior intention variance and 0.516 percent of the intended degree of e-banking services use variance. Three constructs are found to be good predictors: effort expectancy (EE), social influence, and perceived e-banking services quality. Performance expectancy and hedonic motivation are not significant predictors. However, all three predictors were significantly moderated by age only.Research limitations/implicationsAs with any research in the field of IT adoption and consumer behavior, researchers should take into consideration the generalization of their empi...

A questionnaire survey method was used to collect data. The sample included Facebook users from six Arab countries. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), using EQS, was conducted to analyze the data. The results indicated that motivations to engage in e-societies via Facebook, including self-presentation, social interaction, and curiosity, play a pivotal role in explaining Facebook user’s attitudes, electronic behavior, and usage patterns. The findings suggest that Facebook has succeeded in providing the fundamental building blocks of e-society construction and copying the features of physical societies, satisfying the basic human needs of social networking. A questionnaire was developed to collect data from 389 Syrian refugees in Jordan's Za'atari camp. Smart PLS was used to analyze the data. The findings indicated that the individual and crowd performance expectancy, the social influence, and perceived risks on the individual and crowd levels have a significant influence on the intention for the continuous acceptance and engagement in mobile crowdsourcing to participate in refugee crisis management. In addition, the results revealed that cultural values of masculinity, power distance, and long-term orientation have no effect on the intention. At the same time, cultural values of collectivism and uncertainty avoidance have a significant effect.
