In the course of the most recent decade, a significant advancement has been made in new and efficient transformation strategies in plants. In spite of an assortment of accessible DNA delivery techniques, Agrobacterium-mediated transformation remains a prevalently utilized methodology. Specifically, advance in Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of grains and other recalcitrant dicot species has been very noteworthy. Meanwhile, other transgenic-empowering advancements have developed, including gateway-based method, generation of marker-free transgenics, gene targeting, and chromosomal engineering. Despite the fact that alteration of some plant species or elite germplasm remains a challenge, further headway in transformation innovation is expected on the grounds that the components of overseeing the recovery and transformation procedures are currently better comprehended and are as a rule innovatively connected to outlining enhanced transformation techniques or to growing new empowering advancements.

Also the synthesis of coumarins, azo coumarins. benzocoumarins, cinnamamide, and α:β-unsaturated acid, were achieved by the reaction of above synthesized compounds in a single step reaction in good to excellent yields. And these eight compounds were tested for their antibacterial activities with two bacteria E. coli and S. aureus. Compounds are showing slightly to moderate antibacterial activities against same bacterias.

Since biohumus contains trace elements and humic acids, it has an effect of enhancing plant development in cucumber cultivation. Greenhouse soil treated with mineral fertilizer was used as a control option in the experiment. The amount of mineral fertilizer applied to the soil in different years was determined based on the level of nutrient supply of the greenhouse soil as a result of agrochemical analysis. For all options, the plant was fed with the specified amount of mineral and organic fertilizer every 30 days. Application of mineral fertilizers was carried out in two stages. The amount of mineral fertilizers calculated on the basis of the chemical analysis of the soil carried out in the first s...

With a growing global population and finite fossil fuel supplies, we must find new energy sources. Alternative energy sources must be prioritized. Biofuels like biodiesel, biohydrogen, biomethanol, and bioethanol have come a long way in recent decades. These alternative fuels are from low-cost, renewable sources like algal, microbial, and plant biomass. Several governments, including India, are improving their renewable energy production capabilities. The main obstacles to rapid biofuel adoption are time and cost. For biofuel to truly become a viable alternative to fossil fuels, nanotechnology has recently provided the much-needed impetus. Nanomaterials' unique structural behavior, such as small size (nanoscale size), has increased their use in biofuel production. It improves efficiency and reduces the time required to convert waste into biofuels. This review addresses the latest information on various types of nanoparticles, and chall...

Microsatellites are TRs of base pairs that are widely spread throughout the genome. Microsatellites are located in the coding and noncoding regions. Microsatellite markers are codominant, abundant, and multiallelic and play an important role in the study of molecular population genetics, positional cloning, QTL mapping, disease identification, pathogenesis, and evolutionary studies, etc. Here we have discussed the origin and types of microsatellites, their genomic distribution, and their functional significance in the microbial genome.

It exists as a homodimer, and every monomer has three monosaccharide binding sites arranged as an equatorial triangle. It acts in the early part of the viral disease by hampering viral entry inside the cell. Envelop protein of many viruses shows rich glycosylation with mannose which binds with monosaccharide binding sites of Griffithsin in a multivalent binding fashion, thus bringing changes that interfere with the host cell invasion. Previous in-vitro and in-vivo studies on SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV have shown excellent inhibitory action on these viruses with no or minimal toxicity. It has also been studied for its synergistic antiviral action with Carrageenan (another algal derivative) and EK1 (a pan-coronavirus fusion inhibitor). There is growing interest in Griffithsin as a prophylactic and therapeutic option for the current COVID 19 pandemic due to its potent action, topical application causing inhibition of viral entry, safety profile, chemical stability, easy large-scale production, and synergistic action with other antiviral agents.
