Prof. Choquet holds a PhD in Human and Social Sciences from Laval University (Quebec City) as well as a French Doctorate awarded by the Sorbonne (Paris). She became Professor of Political Anthropology at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), where she completed her accreditation to supervise research and taught for three years. She is now an associate professor at the Institut d'études internationales de Montréal (UQAM) and a visiting researcher at the Centre d'études et de recherches internationales (UDM, Montréal).She is a researcher, author and professor on multiculturalism, the international comparison of political regimes (nation-State and Federation) and their impact on policies for managingdiversity (cultural, linguistic and religious). Her fields of study are Canada, Switzerland, France, Malaysia and Brazil. She has received three international research awards, including the first prize for Political Book of the Year 2012 (Bonenfant Foundation), as well as the prestigious European Marie Curie Senior Researcher Grant. She is notably the author of the book United by diversity - These countries forged by their differences (Manitoba, 2018) National identity and multiculturalism: two antagonistic notions? (Classiques Garnier, 2015).
