To overcome these problems, effective features for text image recognition are used.In this paper, a text region detector is designed by using a widely used feature descriptor, histogram of oriented gradients (HOG). Local binarization is applied to segment connected components. For text extraction, parameters like normalized height width ratio and compactness are taken into account to filter out text and non-text components. Text recognition is implemented using zone centroid and image centroid based distance metric feature extraction system.

In today’s life fingerprint-based biometrics system is commonly used in society but it can be forged, instead vein patterns cannot be forged and it does not affected by any skin damage. Training data is created by capturing finger vein information through infrared sensor. Feature extraction carried using minutia and local binary pattern. Minutia is used to train the model, followed with k means clustering algorithms using Euclidian distance metrics. Local Binary Pattern (LBP) gives the various statistical feature vector. The feature vector model is trained by combing features of the minutia and LBP. Linear discriminant (LD), Ensemble subspace and Support Vector Machine (SVM) are used for classification. It is observed that linear discriminant classifier work better for finger vein classification.

The increasing availability of satellite images has raised the need for compression of satellite image without significant loss of perceptual image. The Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) offer the optimal results for image compression. The purpose of this paper is to selection of wavelet by comparing various wavelet functions like Haar, Daubechies, Symlets, Coiflets, Biorthogonal, Reverse-Biorthogonal and Discrete Meyer wavelet for satellite image compression. The fine pick of wavelet function aids in improving the quality of image. The compressed image performance is analyzed by using picture quality measures. The picture quality measures assist in selection of most optimized wavelet function. This paper will put forward a decent orientation for the application designers and scientists to opt for the worthy wavelet function for their purpose.

Due to rapid changes in wireless technology the size and weight of MIMO antenna reduces rapidly. The MIMO technology works parallel from the transmitter to the receiver that increases the data rates, channel capacity of the signal and reduces the multipath fading effects. The MIMO antenna designed using approximate methods and full wave methods. The approximate model provides the design using transmission to segmentation model. The full wave methods provides the design methodology for method of moments to finite difference time domain. The MIMO antenna are developed to improve the various parameter such as VSWR, Isolation, Impedance, Return loss, Gain, Directivity, efficiency, total active reflection coefficient, correlation coefficient and envelope correlation coefficient over the frequency ranges.

T... more This paper describes a technique to obtain a high resolution image from a given video sequence. The images obtained from inexpensive cameras are generally of low-quality and low-resolution and feeding those images to facial analysis systems generate undesirable outputs. The approach is to implement learning-based super-resolution algorithm on the low-resolution images to obtain high-resolution output. All the images extracted from the video are not useable in super-resolution algorithm. Therefore face quality assessment using facial feature extraction is utilized to discard the unwanted face images. Based on the quality score, it summarizes the input video sequence into a single best quality frontal face image. The employed super-resolution algorithm is applied on the best image resulting in an improved and enhanced high-quality, high-resolution image.

However, it is unfortunate that the image get metamorphosed after transmission as it is habitually tainted with noise. Thus, noise has emerged as one of the most crucial and common challenges in image processing. The received image can be badly in need of pre-processing dispensation before it can be profitably deployed in applications.

As a result, the management of video has become significant in the object retrieval process. However, the video object retrieval is considered as a major issue in the video objects management. This paper proposes an integrated optimization-based classifier for video object retrieval. Here, the input video is subjected to optical flow estimation using a spatio-temporal feature descriptor, named Histograms of Optical Flow Orientation and Magnitude (HOFM) for extracting the events and establishing the HOFM indexed database using the detected objects. Hence, object tracking is a major step, which detects and tracks the video objects using a hybrid model named Nearest Search Algorithm-Support Vector Regression (NSA-SVR). For the video retrieval, the training of Naive Bayes (NB) classifier is performed using the proposed Lion-Salp Swarm Algorithm (LS...

There are numerous and different approaches to tackle the inpainting problem. The inpainting technique can be classified into two categories: (1) texture oriented and (2) structure oriented. Both the technique have their advantages and disadvantages. Wavelet transform has been used for various image analysis problems due to its nice multi-resolution properties and decoupling characteristics. We propose to utilize the advantages of wavelet transforms for image inpainting. A number of examples on real and synthetic images demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm. Unlike other inpainting algorithms, we can expect better global structure estimation of a damaged or target region in addition to shape and texture properties

Research paper thumbnail of Image demosaicking by nonlocal adaptive thresholding

Single sensor digital color cameras capture only one of the three primary colors at each pixel an... more Single sensor digital color cameras capture only one of the three primary colors at each pixel and full color image is formed by interpolating all other missing color samples at each pixel. This process is color demosaicking. Most demosaicking algorithms assume the existence of high local spectral redundancy in estimating the missing color samples. However, for images with sharp color transitions and high color saturation, such an assumption may be invalid and visually unpleasant demosaicking errors will occur. In this paper the image non-local redundancy is used to improve the local color reproduction result. For that First, multiple local directional estimates of a missing color sample are computed and fused according to local gradients. Then nonlocal pixels similar to the estimated pixel are searched to enhance the local estimate. For that an adaptive thresholding method rather than the commonly used nonlocal means filtering is implemented to improve the local estimate. Results demonstrate that the local directional interpolation and nonlocal adaptive thresholding (LDI-NAT) method outperforms than other CDM methods in reconstructing the edges and reducing color interpolation artifacts, leading to higher visual quality of reproduced color images.
