Although sustainability of a product is a complex multifunctional approach and interlinked with social, cultural, political, technological, gender and environmental aspects but in most cases it only focuses on raw materials. The aim of this review paper was to speculate the sustainability of a cotton made 'T-Shirt', a textile commodity by using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tool. The input-output based analysis of its most significant indicators water, energy, land and labor are illustrating the proximity of adverse impacts on our ecosystem and human health during its whole lifetime. This depth investigation would be helpful to understand the possible sources of emissions and discharges, potential impacts along with requisite measures and regulations for designing a sustainable 'T-Shirt' or a textile commodity.
