SM is now treated as the ‘fifth Estate’, other than legislative, executive, judiciary, and mainstream media. The power of SM as a critique is widely acknowledged. Establishments are finding it difficult to deal with it at times. Due to its ease of usage and relative anonymity, the general public finds it very convenient to put across their viewpoints, even if it’s against the establishment. Some establishments at times are at loggerheads with champions of freedom of speech including civil rights activists. SM has been used for propaganda, marketing, and awareness campaigns. In this paper, we are proposing to use this powerful tool towards social change. Through a case study, a detailed process is being proposed for using social media, particularly Facebook as an anti-stereotyping tool. The response to an online survey, the outcome of opinion mining, and the enthusiastic response ...

Materials and methods: The present study is a cross-sectional, questionnaire descriptive study conducted in Chhattisgarh state, India. The study was conducted from April to May 2017. The study participants were dental specialists who had passed their master's degree in subject of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Results: According to 30 (42%) oral surgeons, tobacco is the main etiology of oral cancer or precancerous lesions. Nonscrapable white lesions are the most common early manifestation of oral cancer as reported by 38 (52%) study participants. Majority of study participants [66 (92%)] agreed with the statement that prognosis of oral precancerous lesions and oral cancer depends on early detection. Only 18 (25%) study participants regularly read journals, read books, and attend workshops to keep updated about current knowledge about management of oral cancer and precancerous lesions. Conclusion: It has been concluded that oral surgeons had a good knowledge, positive attitude, and good practices regarding the management of oral cancer and oral precancerous lesions among oral surgeons.

The present study was conducted in a city in Chhattisgarh state among the general dental and medical practitioners running their private clinic. Dental and medical practitioners present on day of survey in the clinic and given their written informed consent were interviewed by the single investigator. Results: To the questions regarding impact of periodontal diseases on cardiac health, 23 (56%) of dental practitioners agree with this fact while for 21 (55%) of medical practitioners says that there is no impact. Majority of study subjects 71 (90%) agree with the statement that patients diagnosed with cardiovascular disease are more likely to have periodontal disease. Forty-two (53%) of study participants agree with the fact that controllin...

One approach to the automatic verification of security protocols with a bounded set of agents uses logic programming with analysis and synthesis rules to describe how the attacker gains information and constructs new messages. We propose a generic approach to verifying security protocols in Spin. The dynamic process creation mechanism of Spin is used to nondeterministically create different combinations of role instantiations. We incorporate the synthesis and analysis features of the logic programming approach to describe how the intruder learns information and replays it back into the system. We formulate a generic "loss of secrecy" property that is flagged whenever the intruder learns private information from an intercepted message. We also describe a simplification of the Dolev-Yao attacker model that suffices to analyze secrecy properties.

It is more so for those students who belong to underprivileged section and whose parents and the community itself is not generally aware of the various options available. Even if they are aware of it, they may not know how to choose the right one. We have proposed a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Social Media mining-based career counselling system. Explicit and Implicit inputs of the student is taken as input and the system recommends the best career option. The necessary information about the student's personality traits and interest is obtained through Social Media mining and traditional MBTI questioners.
