Objective: To investigate the relationship between neck circumference (NC) and continuous positiv... more Objective: To investigate the relationship between neck circumference (NC) and continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) in patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), as well as to assess CPAP requirements based on the neck circumference. Material and methods: This study was carried out in the pulmonary, vascular, and sleep disorders department of the Dow University Hospital in Karachi. The study was done for six months of duration from January 2022 to June 2022. All of the patients who had obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), between the ages of 18 and 60 years, both genders and underwent CPAP therapy were chosen for this study. The polysomnography database was utilized in order to do an analysis on the Apnea-Hypopnea Index for the OSA. Neck circumference was measured at the neck’s middle sit in every participant. Objectives: The aim behind this study was to scientifically determine the incidence of arrhythmia... more Objectives: The aim behind this study was to scientifically determine the incidence of arrhythmias and associated patient’s outcome in hospitalized acute coronary syndrome patients. Study Design: Observational Hospital Based study. Setting: Department of Cardiology, Isra University Hospital Hyderabad. Period: One year from 26th March 2018 to 25th March 2019. Material & Methods: A total of 177 patients were included having age 20 to 70 years both male and female. Data were entered and analyzed by using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 20.0. Results: The mean age of patients was 48.23±12.9 years with predominantly males (58.19%). The most commonly observed risk factor in our study was cigarette smoking (N = 96, 54.23%) The overall incidence of arrhythmias irrespective of their origin within acute phase was observed 12.99% (N = 23) out of total 151 admitted patients. Objective: This study was conducted to assess the level of knowledge of Pakistani GPs regarding v... more Objective: This study was conducted to assess the level of knowledge of Pakistani GPs regarding various aspects of H. pylori. Methodology: This cross-sectional survey was carried out all over Pakistan from July to December 2019. Close-ended questionnaires were distributed to a convenience sample of 150 GPs and were requested to answer questions on demographics, importance, diagnosis, treatment and complications of H. pylori. The analysis of the data was done by SPSS version 20.0. Results: The mean age of all GPs was 42.6±8.2 years and females were in majority 53.8%. Most of the respondents 73.1% were graduates, 56.3% worked in clinics and 43.7% in Hospitals. Study Design: Cross sectional study. Setting: Medical wards and ICU at Peoples Medical College Hospital, Nawabshah. Period: September 2017 to March 2018. Material & Methods: All the patients of age 20 to 50 years having Paraphenylenediamine (PPD) poisoning (kala-patthar) during ≥6 hours after ingestion and either of gender were included. AKI was labelled as positive if either of any stage was present on the basses of urine output measurement for 24 hours through urine beg r urine output (UO) criteria. All the data was documented in self-made proforma.
