The company faces quality problems, namely the discovery of defective products. The purpose of this research was to identify and analyze the factors causing the occurrence of defective products in the chicken nugget production process; analyze product quality and propose improvements in improving product quality. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observations and documentation conducted for 1 month on February 13, 2020 to March 13, 2020. The Six Sigma method chosen in this study as an approach to the problem that consists of 5 stages, namely, Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. The value of Six Sigma for each process was 3.69 (Industry average in Indonesia) for the selection and preparation of raw materials, 4.1(Industry average in Indonesia) dough cutting process and 4.3 (Industry average in USA) for the coating process of cuts. The proposed strategy is divided into 6 short-term proposals and 4 long-te...

This paper examines the economic impact of the biodiesel sector using a computable general equilibrium model. Besides analyzing the impacts on the national macroeconomic conditions, other sectors, and household incomes, our model has also included a regional block to capture the impact of the biodiesel mandate on regional growth. Two simulations were performed: (1) fulfillment of the 30% biodiesel blending target (B30 mandate), and (2) Simulation 1 combined with the European Union's biodiesel trade ban resulting in an export reduction of 5.18%. The results show that the two simulations provide positive impacts on macroeconomic variables, including real gross domestic product and real wages. However, the B30 mandate and the combined effect of the EU trade ban still yield an inflationary effect in the shor...
Implementation of inflation targeting framework (ITF) on the behavior of exchange rate pass-thoug... more Implementation of inflation targeting framework (ITF) on the behavior of exchange rate pass-though (ERPT) has been an important role in the last decade. A lot of countries have changed their exchange rate regimes and monetary policy framework. As the ITF being adopted, the role of exchange rate in influencing the inflation rate has decreased. The purpose of this research is to analyze the dynamics of ERPT before and after the implementation of ITF using data from countries. We also compare the results between high income countries and middle income countries. Using autoregressive distributed lag model for 19 countries (8 high income countries; 11 middle income countries), the finding showed mixed results regarding there is a reduction of ERPT after the adoption of ITF. On average, loss of pass-through happened both for high income and middle income countries. However, there was a significant difference on the average long-run ERPT-before and after ITF implementation-in middle income...

This outbreak has caused a significant impact on the economic stability including the stock market performance. This research used event study methodology to evaluate the Indonesia's sectoral stock market performance which is represented by companies with the biggest market capitalization in Indonesia. Estimating the COVID-19 outbreak events, the sample of the study consisted of daily sectoral indices stock data from 1 December 2017 to 14 April 2020. The market model is used to predict expected stock returns and simple regression to get the parameters of the equation. By using a t-test, it can be concluded whether the virus outbreak caused an abnormal return on the sectoral indices. The finding showed that the abnormal returns were found in the Basic Industry and Chemicals sector, Infrastructure, Utilities and Transportation sector, Agricultural sector and Mining sector. Furthermore, Basic Industry and Chemical sector, which is represented by Barito Pasific Ltd., give the greatest reaction to the stock market performance in Indonesia due to COVID-19.

The Impact of Monetary Policy Instrument Shocks through Monetary Transmission Mechanism: Comparison of Inflation Targeting and Multiple Objectives in Indonesia. Supervised by NOER AZAM ACHSANI. Since the establishment of Law No.3/2004 about Bank Indonesia, the purpose of Bank Indonesia which previously was multiple target, now has became single target which focused on price stability. By using Structural VAR, this study analyzed the comparison between inflation targeting and multiple objectives by looking at the response of monetary policy instrument in Indonesia’s monetary transmission mechanism. This research modeling each case with a different monetary policy instrument, they are base money (M0) and money market rate. The finding of this research shows that inflation targeting is better to be implemented in Indonesia rather than multiple objectives. Inflation targeting with base money as monetary policy instrument is considered as the most relevant policy in determining inflation target.
