Modernization in the special sense of this concept is the process of transition in Western Europe from feudalism (more broadly: from the traditional, or agrarian, type of society) to capitalism (or industrial, which has come to be considered «modern») society. Having stood on its own foundation, capitalism began to spread its institutions, norms, and values ​​to other, non-Western societies, which gave the concept of “modernization” an additional meaning, including the meaning of «westernization». Initially, this was carried out in the form of colonization. Later, especially in the 20th century, these processes began to be carried out in more humane forms. The concepts of «modernization» and «westernization» began to differ relatively. Abstract The importance of the development of competence in the field of reflective thinking and ... more Abstract The importance of the development of competence in the field of reflective thinking and self-reflection is increasing due to the constant complication and accumulation of knowledge. Increased requirements for teacher training require educators to improve their own reflective thinking and learning abilities and the skills to develop them in students. The study pays attention to the analysis of reflective thinking in connection with an increase in the professional pedagogical level, urgent needs of pedagogy and the effectiveness of influence of reflective dialogue method on the teacher development. The reflective dialogue method helps to create a collaborative learning space of high efficiency. The study describes a module of a basic teacher training discipline, which is based on reflective dialogue and a practical study of its effectiveness. The study involved 256 four- and five-year pedagogical students of two Kazakh universities. During one semester, they were trained based on the methodology described in the study; pre-tests and post-tests of students' academic achievements were carried out and the Measure the Level of Reflective Thinking test was performed; the hypothesis of the study that there were no significant differences before and after the unit introduction was tested based on Spearman's t-test and Pearson's correlation coefficient and rejected in accordance with the results obtained. The practical application of the research results lies in the dissemination of the described program or similar training programs based on reflective dialogue in teacher training.

Tolerance is a necessary element of intercultural communication; is the ability to understand the important thing not only in own, but in a different culture, to see value starts in the other, alien faith, to isolate the grounds that do not contradict the spiritual and moral values. Tolerance for Kazakh people is a life way and a communication form in society. So the problem of tolerance is studied from the methodology view in Kazakh mentality. Kazakhstan shows interreligious consent and discussion and it is the main rule of the world and traditional religions. The authors pay attention to the fact that an educational process in this direction must develop on the basis of those main values which reflect historical-cultural and spiritual-moral traditions of Kazakhstan population.
