So for managing traffic and to keep the network stable, Congestion Control algorithms are used. Queuing is one of the important method in traffic management system. This paper gives a comparative analysis of three queuing mechanisms Droptail, Random Early Detection and Non Linear Random Early Detection on the basis of various performance parameters like throughput and packet drop. The simulation results show that NLRED has a superior quality than other mechanisms.

The outcome of diversity of sensing effectiveness is in the excess of application areas. But to an extent, the earliest form of wireless sensor networks require successful desired approach for data forwarding and processing. In WSN, the sensor nodes have a fixed transmission range, and their refining and storage potential as well as their energy systems are also bounded. Routing protocols for wireless sensor networks are the cause for maintaining the routes in the network and also settled some trust worthy multi-hop communication under certain circumstances. In this work the routing protocols are examined for Wireless Sensor Network and compare their attributes. The main important design points for a sensor network are maintenance of the energy available in each sensor node. Increasing the network lifetime has decisive importance in wireless sensor networks. MPLS is such technology that assures about reliable delivery of the Internet services and also provides high transmission speed and minimum delays. To provide reliable delivery of packets MPLS technology includes a mechanism in which switching of data packets can be done on the basis of labels rather than routed on the basis of destination address. Due to this technology MPLS provides minimum network delay, efficient forwarding mechanism, scalability and predictable and makes it more suitable for implementing in real-time applications such as Voice and video. In this paper performance of MPLS based network is compared with conventional Internet Protocol based network. Network Simulator NS2.34 is used to simulate the both networks and the comparison is made based on the metrics such as packet end-to-end delay, packet send and received. The study results and the practical implementations show that MPLS based network provide much better results than simple IP based network.

Because of node mobility and power limitation, the network topology changes frequently which leads to path breakage. Hence a dynamic routing protocol is required for ad hoc networks to function properly. Reactive on-demand routing protocols becomes very popular because it established routes only when they are needed but most of them use single route and do not have backup routes to transmit the packet during failure. Therefore, some on-demand protocols with alternate path has been proposed to improve the performance in ad hoc network. In this paper, we discuss different schemes based on AODV protocol which provide multiple alternate routes by using the broadcast nature of wireless nodes and compare their performance on basis of various parameters.

The topologies of the network can changes frequently due to unpredictable mobility of nodes. Ip addressing protocol is to automatically assign a unique network address to an un-configured node in the network so that it can communicate with the other un-configured nodes in the network via multi-hop wireless links. In order to allow continuously and infrastructure-less networking, a protocol is needed for dynamically assign Ip addresses to un-configured nodes, because pre-configuration of addresses is not possible due to unpredictable mobility of nodes and every node must configure its network interface with a unique address in order to communicate with other nodes so that the packets can be relayed hop by hop and

So Queuing is one of the important mechanisms in traffic management. In this paper various existing queuing algorithms are explained First in First out (FIFO), Priority Queue (PQ), Fair Queue (FQ), Weighted Fair Queue (WFQ), Class based WFQ (CBWFQ), Self Clocked FQ (SCFQ), Worst case fair WFQ (WF 2 Q), Worst Case fair WFQ plus (WF 2 Q+), Round Robin (RR), Weighted RR (WRR), Deficit WRR (DWRR). They are densely deployed in the field. Because sensors are operated by battery power life time of the wireless nodes are limited. So we need some efficient routing techniques by which we can save the life time of the senor node. In this paper we discuss the different types of routing protocol. Routing protocols are application dependent based on the network structure we can classify the routing techniques in three categories: data centric, hierarchical and location base. This survey paper is a base paper to understand WSN routing techniques its merits and demerits so one can easily identify routing protocol for specific application.
