Indikator hambatan epistimologi dalam penelitian adalah hambatan pada pemahaman konsep, hambatan dalam menerapkan prosedur dan hambatan dalam operasional. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Penelitian Desain Didaktik (Didactical Design Research). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPK Santo Yosep Kupang tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal tes uraian, wawancara dan dokumentasi pada siswa kelas VII-D SMPK Santo Yosep Kupang. The purpose of this research is to analyze in depth the mathematical values contained in the buna... more The purpose of this research is to analyze in depth the mathematical values contained in the buna woven fabric. The method used is a qualitative method with an ethnographic design because it will explain one of the cultural artifacts of the people of NTT, in this case the buna woven fabric. The results obtained are the motifs on the buna woven cloth that analyzed containing geometric and arithmetic concepts. From the analyzed quadrilateral characteristics, the quadrilateral found in the buna woven fabric is a rhombus. In addition, values or mathematical concepts on woven fabrics that can be taught to junior high school students include finding the formula for the area and perimeter of a rhombus using a triangle approach; calculate the area and circumference of a rhombus; arithmetic and geometric sequences and calculating the number of rhombic models on buna woven fabrics. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis secara mendalam nilai-nilai matematika yang terdapat pada kain tenun buna. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan desain etnografi, karena akan menjelaskan mengenai salah satu artefak budaya masyarakat NTT, dalam hal ini kain tenun buna. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah motif pada kain tenun buna yang dianalisis memuat konsep-konsep geometri dan aritmatika. Therefore, this study aims to develop visual-based mathematics teaching materials on integer arithmetic operations, one of which is deaf students. The development model used is a modified development model from the 4D model. Teaching materials that have been developed and tested on deaf class VIII students are suitable for use as a learning medium because they meet the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective. The purpose of the study was to explore the ability of deaf students in grade VIII to complete ma... more The purpose of the study was to explore the ability of deaf students in grade VIII to complete math connection test of inter-topics in mathematics. The type of research used is qualitative research with a case study and grounded theory design. Data were collected by various methods from six subjects who were taken purposively based on the characteristics of language and speech, intelligence and social-emotional. They were spread in three schools namely; SMPLB Karya Murni Ruteng-East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), SMPLB Negeri Semarang and SMPLB Don Bosco Wonosobo. The results of the analysis showed (1) in building an understanding of the problem, deaf students tend to represent the problem in the form of images and concrete objects. (2) in making initial plans to complete, students are inclined to use media related to the problem given. (3) Deaf students tend to be able to make predictions to obtain a mathematical model of a given problem, but the students are likely to be unable to provide a reason to validate the assumption. (4) if the deaf students can solve the problem, they tend to use a way of counting to solve it.

Suku Boti sebagai salah satu suku tertua di pulau Timor, Nusa Tenggara Timur yang kaya akan waris... more Suku Boti sebagai salah satu suku tertua di pulau Timor, Nusa Tenggara Timur yang kaya akan warisan budaya. Keunikan budaya Boti perlu dijaga dan dilestarikan karena merupakan salah satu budaya asli Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif berdesain etnografi yang bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi unsur-unsur geometri yang terdapat dalam budaya suku Boti. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu masyarakat suku Boti Dalam yang masih tertutup terhadap budaya modern dan menjalankan tradisi budaya Boti dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Objek yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini yaitu lopo, tup mahae, tobe, dan sene. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis taksonomi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep-konsep geometri meliputi aksioma titik, garis, dan bidang, konsep garis singgung, konsep luas dan volume bangun datar, konsep luas dan volume bangun ruang, serta konsep kekongruenan. Selain itu, kemampuan-kemampuan matematis seperti kemampuan representasi, kemampuan visual spasial, kemampuan koneksi, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dapat dikembangkan berdasarkan unsur-unsur geometris pada budaya suku Boti. Hasil eksplorasi ini dapat digunakan oleh para guru matematika untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran geometri di kelas berbasis budaya Boti. The research involved a quantitative and qualitative research design where the quantitative data was taken from a set of questionnaires that included a commitment attitude questionnaire, a disciplinary attitude questionnaire and a commitment attitude questionnaire in learning mathematics; meanwhile, a qualitative data was gained through the observation of learning activities at their schools and at their boarding house. This study aims to describe the students’ creative thinking processes in solving geometry problems based on field-dependent (FD) and field-independent (FI) models of cognitive style. Two students of Mathematics Education Study Program of Widya Mandira Catholic University Kupang participated in this study. Each participant represents different cognitive styles of the field-dependent and field-independent models. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes. Observasi dilakukan pada pra siklus dan pada setiap siklus, sedangkan tes dilakukan pada pra siklus, akhir setiap siklus dan pada akhir dari semua siklus penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif terhadap data observasi dan data hasil tes, disimpulkan bahwa; rata-rata data hasil observasi maupun rata-rata data hasil tes menunjukkan adanya peningkatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan oleh siswa kelas XI IPA1 yang berjumlah 26 orang siswa.instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi dan tes peningkatan komunikasi siswa sebanyak 3 butir soal berbentuk uraian. Keunikan budaya Boti perlu dijaga dan dilestarikan karena merupakan salah satu budaya asli Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif berdesain etnografi yang bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi unsur-unsur geometri yang terdapat dalam budaya suku Boti. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu masyarakat suku Boti Dalam yang masih tertutup terhadap budaya modern dan menjalankan tradisi budaya Boti dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Objek yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini yaitu lopo, tup mahae, tobe, dan sene. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis taksonomi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsep-konsep geometri meliputi aksioma titik, garis, dan bidang, konsep garis singgung, konsep luas dan volume bangun datar, konsep luas dan volume bangun ruang, serta konsep kekongruenan. Selain itu, kemampuan-kemampuan matematis seperti kemampuan representasi, kemampuan visual spasial, kemampuan koneksi, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dapat dikembangkan berdasarkan unsur-unsur geometris pada budaya suku Boti. Hasil eksplorasi ini dapat digunakan oleh para guru matematika untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran geometri di kelas berbasis budaya Boti. The research involved a quantitative and qualitative research design where the quantitative data was taken from a set of questionnaires that included a commitment attitude questionnaire, a disciplinary attitude questionnaire and a commitment attitude questionnaire in learning mathematics; meanwhile, a qualitative data was gained through the observation of learning activities at their schools and at their boarding house. Two students of Mathematics Education Study Program of Widya Mandira Catholic University Kupang participated in this study. Each participant represents different cognitive styles of the field-dependent and field-independent models. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes. Observasi dilakukan pada pra siklus dan pada setiap siklus, sedangkan tes dilakukan pada pra siklus, akhir setiap siklus dan pada akhir dari semua siklus penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif terhadap data observasi dan data hasil tes, disimpulkan bahwa; rata-rata data hasil observasi maupun rata-rata data hasil tes menunjukkan adanya peningkatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan oleh siswa kelas XI IPA1 yang berjumlah 26 orang siswa.instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi dan tes peningkatan komunikasi siswa sebanyak 3 butir soal berbentuk uraian.
