The waves of COVID-19 has shaken the world and bring about many changes in society. The changed e... more The waves of COVID-19 has shaken the world and bring about many changes in society. The changed environment or new world 2020 after COVID-19 pandemic demand high quality protection in all arena of life. The most important arena that require significant changes have been divided into four categories. First of all, the high mental health issues and low mental health services in Pakistan are not sufficient to control the mental health problem ratio. There is a need to develop more mental health services with trans-formative changes to mitigate the obnoxious post-pandemic effects. Secondly, the implementation of online therapeutic interventions must be available prior or after pandemic situation. Thirdly, as the pharmacy and mental health services in Pakistan are not capable to meet the international standards to provide patient care. Therefore, the advanced researchers are needed to investigate the fractures and gaps in social, economic and health care systems. Fourthly the provision of mental health support for children is a key area that needs considerable attention after pandemic or crises. The study has contemporary significance as disasters, crises and communicable disease has been prevalent throughout human history and may attack the world at any time in the future.

As a consequence psychiatrist, psychologist and mental health practitioners performed their role to mitigate the adverse impacts through its scientific and clinical lenses. It was observed that due to advance nature of COVI-19 pandemic, more advance approach of psychological aid is required. This work gives an overview of the multi-dimensional and trans-disciplinary techniques, which can be helpful to cope up with the crises that emerged from the threat of COVID-19 Outbreak for victims, survivors, health care practitioners and community.

Studies on mental health rates among primary school children are still limited particularly relat... more Studies on mental health rates among primary school children are still limited particularly related to psychological trauma and its relationship to other mental health challenges. This is the rst crosssectional study examining the rates of trauma exposure, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depressive, and anxiety symptoms in primary school children before covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia. Two hundred and twenty-one students participated in this study. They were recruited from four primary schools that volunteered to participate in the study. PTSD) Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5), Child PTSD Symptoms Scale-5 (CPSS-5), The Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale version (CESD) and the Spence Children's Anxiety Scale (SCAS) were used to survey psychological symptoms. Most of the students, or 54.3% of them, have experienced at least one traumatic event. Of 221 students, 39.4% reported having PTSD symptoms, 38% reported having depressive symptoms and 19% reported having anxiety symptoms. Female students were more likely to report PTSD symptoms compared to male students. The rst regression analysis model showed that only depressive symptoms were signi cant predictors for PTSD. In the second model, religion, family income, anxiety and PTSD symptoms were signi cant predictors of depressive symptoms. In the third model, only depressive symptoms were signi cant predictors of anxiety. Findings, limitations, research future directions and recommendations were discussed.

Children are not indifferent to mental health issues in response to COVID-19 and experienced surg... more Children are not indifferent to mental health issues in response to COVID-19 and experienced surge of challenges. Therefore, in the current study children of 8 to 16 years were recruited to investigate the challenges and its impact on children mental health during all three phases of COVID-19. The Colaizzi’s phenomenological method for qualitative analysis was used to investigate the student’s response. The reactions of students were summarized into three themes and sixteen sub-themes considering all three phases of COVID-19. The three major themes are religious concerns, mental health issues, and academic concerns. The findings have been discussed in terms of counselling for mental health issues and devising online education policy to meet children needs and carter their fears.

This distress reduces work motivation and adversely affects the work performance of teachers. For addressing this critical issue, the current study aims to investigate the impact of emotional distress on college teachers’ motivation and work performance. It is a cross-sectional research. For gathering the required information, data was collected from 150 college teachers who were selected through convenient sampling technique. Additionally, standardized research measures were employed to collect the data from the participants. DASS-21 was used to assess emotional distress. Work Task Motivation Scale (WTMS) and Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) were used to assess the motivation and work performance of the teachers. The impact of infection outbreak not merely limited to physical suffering but grounded for massive mental health issues. The fear of getting contagion and persistent exposure to diverse medication and vaccination contribute enormously to develop mental health issues among people. During previous infection treatment with diverse vaccination and antiviral agent, the common mental health issues found to be a mood disorder, delirium, schizophrenia, and psychotic symptoms. Cumbersomely, it is almost impossible to treat mental health issues during the pandemic with the help of only pharmacological availability. Hence psychological intervention is also important to ameliorate better consequences. The current study highlights the impact of CoViD-19 related diverse medication and vaccination on the mental health of the people.

In particular, the people with existing mental health issues such as dark tetrad personality found to be higher in forming an unhealthy relationship on cyber as well as real life during COVID-19. The current paper provides an interesting but alarming picture of how people with dark tetrad personality trait formed relationships with others during COVID-19. Also, the current paper highlights the significance of psycho-somatic therapies in managing their mental health response during COVID-19.
