Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is most widely used in wireless communication s... more Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is most widely used in wireless communication systems and can offer the advantages over traditional Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) technology. High Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) is one of disadvantages of OFDM system. In this paper, a nonlinear companding jointly with Selective Mapping (SLM) is proposed to analyse PAPR. It is observed through simulation results that the proposed technique achieves desirable PAPR reduction than that of existing techniques. The simulation is done through MATLAB.
