High Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) is one of disadvantages of OFDM system. In this paper, a nonlinear companding jointly with Selective Mapping (SLM) is proposed to analyse PAPR. It is observed through simulation results that the proposed technique achieves desirable PAPR reduction than that of existing techniques. The simulation is done through MATLAB.
