Beliefs in life after death varied from religion to religion but there is a wider gap in the understanding of the concept in religions originated in the Asian continent as well as Abrahamic religions in the western world. Eastern originated religions logically defend this belief in the form of rebirth and Abrahamic religions too logically establish the concept of resurrection instead of rebirth. The point I like to raise in my paper is, is Rebirth a matter of belief or is there something logical behind it. If, it is a matter of belief than it is limited to believers only and if there is something logical behind this problem of rebirth than it is objectively applicable to all. If latter case is true, many of our religious beliefs seem contradictory. So, I limit my focus to these two questions, is rebirth a matter of belief? Does faith determine the reality?.

Gender and Religion are also the two different phenomena that happened to the society for strengthening the inter-connection between human beings to live together in a balanced way. Both gender as well as religion is the powerful forces that determine the basic nature of the society. But point is, how we can sure that it is working in its true spirit. Among all the institutions, Religion has its own importance because it tries to bridge the gap between physical and the transcendental and if we successfully bridge this gap, then there must be an equality of treatment. Religion has its basis in transcendental sphere where eternity survives, where concept of god, soul and life after death is discussed in detailed manners. If religion is practiced in its true sense than there is no problem of inequality on the part of human being. Therefore, in the eyes of religion physical existence has its ground in the metaphysical one. As religion has its base in the metaphysical aspects of the reality and at that level everything is equal and no point of any discrimination. But at the phenomenal level scenario is different. Natural inequality in the terms of biological or emotional level is undeniable but moral inequality on the part of human being is debatable. The focus of the present paper is on religion as a metaphysical principle of equality in the phenomenal world. Impracticality of any institution and Inequality of any kind goes hand in hand.

is as old as the man learned to use his intellect. Different philosophies as well as philosophers developed various
ontological positions concerning the study of the being. Rationalism as a school of modern western philosophy is
one of the philosophical school which is known for its epistemology but it contributes more in the field of ontology.
In rationalism, there are three main proponents and each one has its own ontological standpoint in regards to the
existence of being. The ontological journey of the 'being' begins in skepticism of Descartes which culminates as
Dualism, and dualism of Descartes further dubbed as uncompromising dualism by Spinoza that allows him to
come up with Monism as a secure ontological position. But the standpoint of Spinoza is further challenged by
Leibniz which helps him to come up with different positions as compared to his early predecessors. The aim of
this paper is to thoroughly study the problem of the 'being' in special reference to rationalism, how ‘reason’ plays
a significant role in arriving at different ontological positions? Does ‘reason’ is capable to justify the ontological positions achieved by the rationalist philosophers? And, focus is also to discuss the importance of ‘innate idea’ in
achieving these different philosophical positions.

It is because of the metaphysical as well as the epistemological uncertainty, which developed due to giving undue importance to innate principles accepted by modern rationalist; utmost importance is started given to the experience. But, what happens when experience itself push you in the field of skepticism. Empiricist believes that reason is not sufficient to explore the nature of ultimate reality. Therefore, Empiricism as an epistemological school develops in reaction to rationalism. Their primary aim was to take philosophy at zenith, as they accepting empiricism as a scientific approach as well as philosophical techniques to philosophizing. Empiricism came into existence with Locke, who survives with Berkeley and culminates in the writing of Hume. It is Hume who gave us the world view of empiricism as a system of philosophical enquiry, by limiting everything to experience which he has tried well to show how everything's end up in skepticism. Focusing on this piece of writing the present paper has put light on the empiricism as a tool of philosophical inquiry and also its limitation which Hume has focused upon.
