The major issues in vapor compression are uneven supply of electricity and the use of environment friendly refrigerant. The absorption refrigeration cycle is one of the alternatives to reduce electric energy demand and the sustainable development. To overcome the problem of low coefficient of performance and to get refrigeration temperature below 0ºC, hybrid refrigeration cycle is proposed. In absorption refrigeration system the pressure difference between evaporator-absorber, circulation ratio and the generator temperature are more significant. In hybrid refrigeration system the absorber is at higher pressure than the evaporator which helps not only in increasing the pressure difference between evaporator and absorber but also to achieve low refrigeration temperature. The biggest advantage hybrid cycle is that it can run at low generator temperature. The effect of compression ratio on cycle performance was analyzed. There is an optimum value of compressor ratio up to which the rise of compressor work is less as compared to the rise of ultimate COP. for the hybrid cycle temperature of generator, condenser and evaporator is 90ºC, 30ºC,-10ºC respectively and the optimum value of compressor ratio obtained is 2.5 to 3

Condensers, boilers, intercoolers, and preheaters are some examples of heat exchanger devices used in power plants. Heat exchanger performance can be characterized by finding its effectiveness. They are also used widely in many industries for heat recovery or cooling purposes. Performance of parallel flow heat exchanger considering changes in water to be studied. In this paper, we are going to study previous paper and conclude with the results. By going through research paper, we came to know that heat exchanger performed varies from fluid to fluid and temperature to temperature. Also, we have calculated LMTD by varying flow rate and temperature of hot water and cold water. The performance of such heat exchangers under different operating conditions is also discussed.

In a milk processing plant, hot water is used as heating medium and chilled water as cooling medium .In milk pasteurization heating and cooling process of milk was integrated by using plate heat exchangers known as regeneration section which saves 82.36% energy. Refrigeration plant for milk processing contributes approx. 30 % of total electricity load. This electricity load can be reduced by using vapor absorption refrigeration system (VARS) which requires heat input in the form of hot water. In the present study the VARS uses 1, 1, 1 tetrafluroethane (R134a) as refrigerant and n,n-dimethyl formamide (DMF) as absorbent. The COP of the system was obtained between 0.48 to 0.71 and refrigeration capacity varied from 0.69 kW to 2 kW. The absorption refrigeration system requires 1.4kW of hot water per kW of refrigeration capacity. Thus the integration of solar ener...

We can use various methods to identify which shape is more effective.

The solar operated vapor absorption refrigeration system (VARS) is most useful during day time when cooling load is very high and solar energy is available. The system uses evacuated tube collector(ETC) with heat pipe module each of area 3.25m2 to get solar hot water whereas cooling water was available at ambient temperature of 25°C .The performance of the system was experimentally investigated for generator temperature in the range of 75°C to 90°C. The cooling capacity varied from 0.69 kW to 2 kW and the COP of the system was in the range 0.48 to 0.71. In the present study copper brazed plate heat exchangers are used as core components and the system was integrated with solar water heater .The VARS uses 1, 1, 1 tetrafluroethane (R134a) as refrigerant and n,n-dimethyl formamide (DMF) as absorbent. R134a-DMF working pair is of great advantage to reduce the system pressure and to use solar energy to produce cooling...
