Studies on migration and tourism provide a basic foundation in understanding what motivates individuals and people to participate in diaspora tourism. Because this is a topic so complex, we believe that it would be inadequate to only examine it from within the boundaries of tourism literature. An interdisciplinary endeavor is needed to understand the effects and outcomes of participating in this phenomenon based on individuals’ family immigration histories, place attachments, and distinct cultural identities. That is why this study attempted to extensively examine the cultural identities of Circassians living in Turkey and reveal the effects that place attachment to their ancestral homeland had on those who participated in diaspora tourism.

Suicide is accepted as a form of death of external causes. It can be predicted and majority of suicides can be prevented. Suicide shows a big amount of differences depending on time, region, age level, gender and race. In order to understand and prevent suicide, several geographical, medical, psychosocial, cultural and socioeconomic factors have been studied. A tiny disorder in one of these factors may cause a significant change that results in severe outcomes. In preventing suicide, it is important to determine the subgroups that have high risk. Strategies to prevent suicide can be developed through searching and understanding the suicide geography. In this study, the spatial pattern of female suicide is examined with suicide maps. With suicide maps, it is aimed to clarify the spatial alteration of the deaths caused by female suicide, to help in focusing on female suicide, to increase the awareness of the specific regions and groups that have a high risk and to guide those who are dealing with decreasing the death ratios, public health experts and decision makers. In Turkey, according to the suicide rate averages of ten years (2002-2011), mostly the young age groups are at risk among women. The ratio of suicides caused by family incompatibility, educational failure and emotional relationship and not forced marriage is higher in females than in males. Turkey is a northern hemisphere country and features subtropical climate types, where females mostly commit suicide in summer and spring seasons. It is observed that there is no peak period in female suicide in Turkey. When the distribution of suicide based death ratios are examined, it is seen that the highest ratios are in the eastern and western parts of Turkey. It is seen that suicide occurs in the provinces with low socioeconomic status as well as the provinces with high socioeconomic status and in provinces with both a large population and a small population. And also it is determined that for those provinces, detailed studies should immediately be started. It is seen that the ratio of female suicide is getting higher and approaching to the ratio of male suicide from western parts to eastern parts of Turkey. Between these years, 75% of the suicides were committed by means of violent methods and 25% of them were committed by means of nonviolent methods. The provinces where the ratio of using violent suicide methods is higher than the standard deviation are located in the eastern part of the country. It is noteworthy that the ratio of female suicide victims who are single is close to the ratio of those who are married. The suicide ratio of married women is decreasing from west to east.

In addition to its natural attractiveness, it has important tourist attractions for cultural and faith tourism. The region also offers a wide range of nature-based tourism activities. Qualitative research methods were used in the study and semi-structured interview technique was used. The study was conducted in Nevsehir province in Turkey. In the research, the following main results were obtained. With the nature-based tourism activities, the duration and expenditures of the tourists have increased. Almost all of the respondents (except balloon business) stated that nature-based tourism activities adversely affect the environment. There are different opinions about the rate of negative effects of sportive activities for tourism purposes on nature and which activity is causing more harm. Those who earn direct income from an activity generally report that there is little or no loss. Problems were identified such as unplanned and uncontrolled activities and lack of legislation. The sector lacks specialized tour guides to work in nature-based tourism activities in the region. Efforts should be initiated to develop and implement new tourism policies in order to ensure long-term sustainable tourism development in the region that does not threaten its future. It should be ensured that all stakeholders work in cooperation.

Campus trips are the most effective way of informing the opinions of visitors about a university. In a well-prepared campus trip, the most important aspect for high school students and their families are the student guides who show them around the campus. The Campus Guidance Project, prepared by instructors of the Department of Tour Guiding at Anadolu University and carried out with 19 volunteer students, has served 35 schools and 4842 persons between April 4, 2016 and May 6, 2016. There are three main components of the project. The first component includes preparatory activities. The second component is application and the third component is evaluation. Successful results obtained from the service quality scale and demands from the University Administration have resulted in new structuring. In terms of the use of the experiential learning process, the Campus Guidance course has been included in the program by evaluating the contribution to student education. In this paper, the opinions of the 22 students involved in the project in terms of voluntary improvement of the project have been discussed. The findings of this study, in which qualitative research methods are used, will be followed by improvements to the restructured part of the project.

In the study, data of the number of domestic and international tourists participating tourism movements in Turkey between 2001 and 2013 were used. The obtained results of the autocorrelation value of near zero shows that there is no global spatial pattern at the provinces levels in Turkey. Since it was studied at city level, differences within the city were not able to be studied. Therefore, the spatial distributions of the tourists were analyzed by mapping analysis. The West of Turkey accepts more visitors compared to the east. International tourists Turkey travel becomes denser at the southwest and west coasts of the country. An expansion can be seen from the west towards the central parts of Turkey in terms of both domestic and international tourists. Effects of the projects, which are to increase rest areas to improve mass tourism can be observed in the distribution of the number of tourists. Furthermore, it may be stated that the effects of the practiced strategies on policies such as the spread of tourism to nationwide, decreasing regional development differences can be seen.

However, that potential has not been developed effectively. Moreover, attractive and suitable alternative destinations and touring routes for thermal, spring, winter and mountain sports, which are distribute in different region of Turkey, have not been constructed. In this study, we have studied occupancy rate in hospitality business for the period of 2001-2013 by use of spatial analysis to demonstrate whether there is spatial pattern of occupancy rates in Turkey. With this purpose, we have calculated Moran's I spatial autocorrelation coefficient for occupancy rate in hospitality business for both domestic and international tourists. The obtained results shows that while there is spatial autocorrelation for the accommodation of international tourists, spatial autocorrelation does not arise for domestic tourists stay. Thus, the spatial patterns of domestic and international tourists are different in Turkey. This result can be interpreted as the preference of domestic tourists to visit their relatives in Turkey while international tourists prefer to stay in the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts near Istanbul. Also, climate effects the occupancy rates, especially the length of the tourist season. Moreover, we also aim to detect spatial-dependencies among
