However, the effect of disruption is not equal across the spectrum of education. The transition to online mode of teaching created challenges to teachers of vocational education including hospitality. In the current study, we aimed to identify the factors of motivation, online teaching satisfaction and intention to adopt online teaching in the future by the teachers of hospitality education using Herzberg's Theory of Motivation. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among hospitality teachers in India, and the data was collected using Google Forms. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is employed to test the hypothesis proposed in the study. The IBM AMOS 25 software was used for data analysis and testing of hypothesis. The results of the study indicate that motivational factors are the significant predictors of online teaching satisfaction and teachers' intention to adopt online teaching in the future. The finding signifies that institutional administrators and policymakers of hospitality education in the study context needs to focus on improving both motivational and hygiene element to enhance teachers' satisfaction and behavioural intention in online teaching.

This study adopted a quantitative cross-sectional approach to analyse the determinants of guests’ SCB. Data for the study were collected between November 2021 to January 2022 from 298 respondents using Google Forms. The result indicates that the SCB of guests at luxury hotels is predominantly influenced by the guest’s attitude towards sustainability. Other significant factors that determine the sustainable consumption behaviour of guests at luxury hotels are perceived cost, perceived benefit, and perceived behavioural control. The study also demonstrates the applicability of TPB and the need for its extension to understand individuals’ SCB from the perspective of perceived cost and benefit.

Higher education institutions confronted multiple challenges and disruptions in teaching and learning. However, the challenges hospitality education administrators need to resolve are distinct compared to other traditional higher education programs. This study aimed to understand the experiences and responses of hospitality educational administrators under crisis. The findings of the study are expected to assist hospitality education institutions to be prepared and respond better to any crisis in the future. To understand the challenges faced and strategies adopted by hospitality educational administrators, we interviewed 23 hospitality administrators across India. We have adopted a grounded theory approach to describe the challenges and strategies the hospitality educational administrators adopted. The analysis of data through the grounded theory approach yielded five main themes: antecedents that influenced the hospitality educational administrators' response to the crisis, approaches toward strategies, strategies adopted to manage the crisis, perspectives of the consequences of strategies adopted, and intervening conditions that influenced the administrators' choice of strategies. The result indicates that hospitality educational administrators need to be proactive. They have to create a crisis management system, adopt technology in teaching and learning, and engage with all stakeholders to manage the crisis. This study has multiple implications for hospitality educational administrators, policymakers, and researchers in educational administration.
