Coffee bean are rich of secondary metabolits that able to inhibit free radical compounds. This an... more Coffee bean are rich of secondary metabolits that able to inhibit free radical compounds. This antioxidant activity may reduce many diseases correlated with it. The aims of this study were to determined the phytochemical content and antioxidant activity of roasted coffee bean from Wamena and Moenemani regency, Papua. Roasted coffee beans were extracted by maceration for 24 hr with methanol. Harborne standard method was used for the phytochemical analysis and DPPH assay was used to determine the antioxidant activity. IC50 was measured by spectrophotometric assay using spectrophotometer Uv-Vis at 517 nm wavelenghth. Result showed that both Arabica roasted coffee beans from Wamena and Moanemany had the capacity to inhibit free radical at 61,71% and 69,7% with IC50 at 107,97 and 100,91 ppm, respectively . Rumput laut juga merupakan bahan baku utama dalam pembuatan agar – agar, alginat dan karaginan. Karaginan merupakan salah satu jenis hidrokoloid yang dapat digunakan untuk memproduksi bioplastik. Pada penelitian ini karaginan digunakan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan bioplastik dengan sorbitol sebagai bahan pemlastis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkarakterisasi bioplastik yang dihasilkan dari karaginan rumput laut merah asal Biak dengan sorbitol sebagai pemlastis. Karaginan dicampurkan sorbitol dengan metode blending. Variasi konsentrasi karaginan berturut turut adalah 0,6; 0,8; 1; 1,2 dan 2 %. Wedd] is a plant that is widely used as traditional medicine by Papuans as a pain reliever. The purpose of this study was to determine the total level of alkaloids in itchy leaf extract and to test the cytotoxic activity using the BSLT method. The research series began with the extraction stage with the maceration method using 96% ethanol, which tested the alkaloid level. The test was carried out using the gravimetric method and the cytotoxic test using the alkaloid level test results using the BSLT method on shrimp larvae (Artemia salina L). The results showed that itchy leaf extract contained a total alkaloid level of 6.46%. Cytotoxic testing using the BSLT method showed an LC50 of 54.33 ppm and was found to be toxic.

The study of determination trigonelline in Arabica coffee beans from Wamena, Jayawijaya regency, Papua have been performed by HPLC method using C-18 column (150 mm length; 4,6 mm in diameter) as the stationary phase while mobile phase consist of metanol : buffer fosfat 10 mM pH 2,6 (30 : 70, v/v) and detector waveleght was set at 265 nm. Trigonelline content was determined in unroasted and roasted (75, 150, 225 0 C) coffee beans. Extraction was performed by soxhletation method using metanol as solvent during five hours. The linearity for concentrations between 100 – 200 ppm trigonelline with correlation coefisien (R 2 = 0,9761). The teaching and learning process in junior high schools in Papua, still conventional, is that te... more The teaching and learning process in junior high schools in Papua, still conventional, is that teachers deliver subject matter, assignments, quizzes, gathering assignments and other things related to the teaching and learning process are only carried out in the classroom so that learning activities are limited by time according to hours lesson. This resulted in the achievement of competence, completeness of the subject matter, and students' learning motivation was not achieved. Smart solutions to deal with problems in junior high schools in Papua is to make smart school applications. Smart school applications become blended learning that combines advance learning methods with online learning systems .Increasing student learning motivation by implementing a smart school application can form interactions between teachers and students, students and students, and communication between the school and parents. This can create an effective, efficient and paperless learning environment.

Variables analyzed in this research were the water content, the weight decreasing, solubility in water and colour. Research showed that caragenaan bioplastic was soluble in water. Chlorogenic acid (CGA) is one of chemical compound in coffee and class of polyphenolic compounds ... more Chlorogenic acid (CGA) is one of chemical compound in coffee and class of polyphenolic compounds that have activity as antioxidant. This study aims to determine the CGA contain in Arabica coffee beans from Wamena regency of Jayawijaya, Papua. Coffee beans were roasted by three roasting temperature i.e. 75, 150 and 2250 C while unroasted one was used as controls. Extraction was performed by soxhletation using metanol as a solvent for 5 hours. Separation and CGAcontent were determined using HPLC uses C-18 column, 150 mm length, 4,6 mm in diameter, with metanol-fosfat buffer 10 mM pH 2,6(30:70) as eluent, flow rate of 1 mL/minutes, injection volume of 20 µL and measured by spectrophotometer UV-Vis in 329 nm. The result of the study shows the CGAcontent in treated beans with temperature roasting of 75, 150 and 2250C respectively were 6,93 ; 9,33 and 7,12 % while the unroasted one was 7,73 %.
