The increasing rôle of Information Systems (IS) in the context of the organizational development,... more The increasing rôle of Information Systems (IS) in the context of the organizational development, combined with the introduction of Information Technology (IT) in relation to emergent challenges in both economics and business, have spurred new needs in management and engineering skills. These skills, closely tied to business performance and management effectiveness, have implications for improving human_resource_management. This paper advocates the reasons for IS training in higher learning education. The aims for such Training Programs are treated here from both ontological and methodological perspectives. First, the ontological facet evoques the multi-disciplinary caracteristics of the scientific field for interest. It also summarizes the various IS ontological dimensions that should be proper to teach. Second, the methodological facet apprehends both the diversity of practical implemetions of IS together with opportunities for development. It also summarizes the ways to install t...

This process is of such importance that the information system strategies of these enterprises tend to be aligned to the global strategy of development. This paper adresses the factors success of this management activity, and tries to identify the critical success factors of SISP? The proposed model describes the good practices of the SISP management and organizational projects. It is articulated on three main concepts: the necessary means for SISP, the support procedures of the planification process, and the managers and users implication in a project. Three interdependence hypotheses supporting the contingence study are tested, using nine research variables. The results confirm the unidimensionality of the research variables, which are measured by multi-dimensional scales. The data analysis confirm the existence of th...

They offer a range of managerial practices that allow the organization to carry out its changes, which is more in line with a planned process. Such an approach overlooks the fact that organizational change can be explained by other processes such as the political process, the interpretative process, the incremental process and the complex process. Each of these processes offers particular characteristics of change. The observed change was marked by the different characteristics falling within the various explanatory processes of change. Results differ according to the context in which change evolved. Through this paper we seek to understand and explain the results related to the existence of different characteristics that are part of the different explanatory change processes (political, interpretative, incremental and complex processes) in a change planned by the senior management of a company.

However, the research on organizational change gave rise to several approaches according to which, the change can be explained by other processes (political, interpretative, incremental, and complex). For this research, the authors seek to study the process of pre-implementation of an IS in order to check whether it pursues a planned process, or the observed change may also have characteristics of other explanatory processes of change. To this end, a qualitative study by case study is conducted in Basic Bank. The results show that change during the process of pre-implementation of the IS is explained not only by the planned process but also by the political and interpretative process. Based on this result, it is recommended to practitioners who wish to lead a change within their organizations to envisage the managerial actio...

This modeling is based on a system approach. The results of this research verify the relevance of the conceptual model suggested to evaluate the investments in the EDI. They also show the importance of four dimensions to measure the success of EDI: the quality of information, tangible benefit, improvement of the customer services and the organizational performance, in terms of strategic and financial contribution. On the theoretical level, it validates the model of research. At a methodological level, it shows the importance of the positivist approach for problems relating to the developments of the EDI practices, and implement the dependency and structural linear equation models with AMOS. At the professional level, this research characterizes the determinants of the success of the investments in EDI and allows a better use of the resources invested in this technology for the small firms in the sector of the automobile equipment's suppliers in France.

The model takes the traditional experiential approach as its frame of reference. It formulates two interdependent attitude formation processes in a telepresence situation: the first cognitive, the second affective. The model is tested by means of a quasi-experiment. The results confirm the hypotheses of direct and indirect causality among the variables comprising the two processes. This causal analysis allows us to carry out a conceptual diagnosis and to make various recommendations.
