This article to analyze the more important activities that must be developed in the Amagá's M... more This article to analyze the more important activities that must be developed in the Amagá's Mining District, with the aim of generating high performance mining production process through supply chain strategies implementation across the whole supply chain. This article starts with a description of the supply chain concept, followed by the Amaga's district supply chain characterization. Finally, it is presented several strategies for obtaining high performance processes in the Amagá's mining industry, and then it is also presented some operational strategies, which might produce operational improvements and global costs reduction in the supply chain.
This article compiles the particularities that apply in the measurement of key performance indica... more This article compiles the particularities that apply in the measurement of key performance indicators of supply chains (SC), at key points of logistic processes in shipyards dedicated to the design, manufacture, maintenance and repair of sea and river vessels in Colombia. The study provides a comprehensive collection of key performance measures proposed by many authors in the last ten years, which have been classified to determine the performance of the SC; international benchmarks are collected from western and eastern shipyards, along with their trends in structuring, selecting and measuring key performance indicators (KPI's Key Performance Indicators), finally made a verification of the measuring system of Colombia's main shipyard and proposes a model of performance measurement Global SC under the strategic perspectives inspired by the BSC Balanced Scorecard methodology, expanded by a perspective of Information Technology and Communications, as a determinant of enhancing ...
Resumen-Las presiones y desafíos de la globalización han llevado a las or ganizaciones de hoy a s... more Resumen-Las presiones y desafíos de la globalización han llevado a las or ganizaciones de hoy a ser cada vez más competitivas si quieren sobr evivir en este ambiente. En ese afán de mejor ar la competitividad, las or ganizaciones tr atan de alinear sus objetivos e intereses con otr as compañías en lo que se conoce como la cadena de suministro. Esa alineación de objetivos no es fácil, sur ge entonces la gerencia de la cadena de suministr o, que pretende la integr ación de los procesos claves de las or ganizaciones con el fi n de satisfacer a los clientes y a las diferentes fi r mas que componen la cadena, uno de los pr ocesos claves que debe ser consider ado es el asociado con la toma de decisiones (tanto a nivel estr atégico como a nivel oper ativo) en las or ganizaciones.

De igual manera realiza una clasificación que permite diferenciar los tipos de organizaciones que existen dentro un sector tan amplio como lo es, el sector sin ánimo de lucro.

The solution strategy includes a memetic algorithm consisting of an evolutionary metaheuristic (genetic algorithm) and a heuristic local search (2-opt algorithm).

Using fuzzy set theory as a methodology for modelling and analysing decision systems is particula... more Using fuzzy set theory as a methodology for modelling and analysing decision systems is particularly interesting for researchers in industrial engineering because it allows qualitative and quantitative analysis of problems involving uncertainty and imprecision. Thus, in an effort to gain a better understanding of the use of fuzzy logic in industrial engineering, more specifically in the field of production planning, this article was aimed at providing a materials requirement planning (MRP) problem with uncertainty in the automotive industry; this was solved using fuzzy parametric linear programming.
In this paper, we present four models of uncertainty in the MRP closed systems in the production ... more In this paper, we present four models of uncertainty in the MRP closed systems in the production components,
such as: manufacturing capacity of each product, delivery time and inventory availability. These parameters are processed by the fuzzy logic by modeling an MRP closed system deterministic. Therefore, three models are initially MRP closed system, where each independently consider uncertainty in capacity, delivery time and inventory availability. Also, we present a fourth model of MRP closed system jointly analyzes the uncertainty in the three parameters mentioned above. Each of these models is corroborated with information from a company in the Colombian electricity area, evaluating the total cost of the production plan, inventory levels, service level and computational complexity.

En el presente artículo se presenta la aplicación del modelo KVA (VALOR AGREGADO DEL CONOCIMIENTO... more En el presente artículo se presenta la aplicación del modelo KVA (VALOR AGREGADO DEL CONOCIMIENTO) para la medición del capital intelectual en las organizaciones, presentando como caso de estudio la aplicación en una entidad de educación superior como lo es el caso del Politécnico Colombiano Jaime Isaza Cadavid. Este artículo inicia con la presentación del modelo KVA, seguido de la descripción de la aplicación del modelo y finalmente se muestran los resultados obtenidos así como algunos elementos a tratar en trabajos futuros.
