Cross-sectional dependence has been analysed with the bias-adjusted cross-section dependence Lagrange multiplier developed by Pesaran et al. (2008) and cross-section dependency has been observed among the countries. Stationary of the series has been tested with the panel unit root test with multiple structural breaks developed by Carrion-i-Silvestre et al. (2005) and it has been found that series are non-stationary in level. The existence of a cointegration relationship between series has been tested with the panel cointegration test with multiple structural breaks developed by Basher and Westerlund (2009) and a cointegration relationship has been observed between the series. Cointegration coefficients have been estimated with the Pesaran (2006) Common Correlated Effects method. According to the analysis result we found evidence that support the extended Marshall-Lerner condition in Belarus, Turkey. Furthermore, the J-curve phenomenon is valid in Belarus, Romania and Slovenia.

In this study, the relationship between human capital and economic growth is tested by second generation panel data analysis for the countries gained independence after the collapse of the USSR with the help of four different models by using 1995-2014 period data. Cross-section dependence among these countries was tested by means of Breusch and Pagan (1980) LM test, Pesaran (2004) scaled LM test, Baltagi, Feng, and Kao (2012) bias-corrected scaled LM test and Pesaran (2004) CD methods. Result of this analysis show that there are
cross-sectional dependence among these countries. Stationarity of the series is investigated by Hadri and Kuruzomi (2012) panel unit root test and reached that all series are I(1). Westerlund (2008) Durbin-Hausman
panel cointegration test is separately conducted for four models and seen that the series are cointegrated. Cointegration coefficients are estimated by Breitung (2005) Two Step Least Squares method. The results indicate that 1% increase in human capital, average life expectancy, health expenditure per capita and education
expenditure per capita improves per capita national income by 3.066, 8.186, 0.541 and 0.307 percent, respectively. Moreover, 1% increase in capital stock per capita affects national income per capita between 0.548% and 1.07% with respect to other independent variable in the models

examine whether there is a difference in their perception about Vocational School's socio-cultural and economic contribution to Karacabey. Research was carried out on the 2015-2016 academic year with 768 students from Karacabey Vocational School. Research data were collected through online questionnaires prepared between May 15-30, 2015. Evaluation of the data was performed with SPSS 22.0 computer program. At the result of the research, it has been determined that Karacabey Vocational School's socio-cultural and economic contribution to Karacabey is on medium level. Karacabey Vocational School has brought a vitality to Karacabey in social and cultural aspects, has contributed to the development of modern life and to the development of social and cultural values, but vocational school's socio-cultural and economic contribution to Karacabey is not sufficient, in this
regard it couldn‟t meet the expectations of students. On the other hand, students differ from each other by their ages, departments, the place where they live, monthly income, shelter, food and social spending amounts and it has been determined that when their monthly amount of expenditure increases the perception of the level of the vocational school's contribution to Karacabey in general increases as well.
The most significant elements that enable us to understand economic growth and development levels... more The most significant elements that enable us to understand economic growth and development levels of nations are economic indicators of the country of interest. As much as these indicators have positive and high values, they affect the economic, social, psychological and cultural texture of the nation positively. These effects increase the culture, living and welfare levels of the individuals in the society. Logistics is one of the tools that play an important role in the change and improvement of economic indicators. Logistics industry provides significant macro contributions to national economy by creating employment, and creating national income and foreign investment influx. On the micro scale, logistics industry is a key industry in increasing the competitive power of corporations. Furthermore, the logistics industry has an important mission in revitalizing and improvement of the competitiveness of other industries. Today, all industries are dependent on logistics sector. The present study aimed to investigate how the logistics variables of transportation and communication affected economic growth in 34 OECD countries. The effect of both transportation industry variables and communication industry variables that form the logistics industry on the increase in per capita income in OECD countries was identified.

There are several studies in the literature that aimed to identify the components of economic growth and their contribution to growth. In the present study, economic growth indicators were selected as investments, population, human capital, employment, public investments and the size of logistics industry. To determine economic growth indicators in 34 OECD countries, unbalanced panel analysis is conducted in the present study. As a result, it was determined that study variables of logistics and fixed capital investments were positive and statistically significant at the same time. This finding reflected that the size of the logistics industry and fixed capital investments increased per capita income in OECD countries.

ABSTRACT
Variations in interest and foreign exchange rates observed after International Monetary System adopted floating exchange rate system replacing the fixed exchange rate system I’m 1973 caused foreign exchange risk and the need to be protected from this risk (hedging).
Parallel to the objective of the present study, the significance of the use of derivative products, one of the hedging methods, on foreign trade and savings of corporations was scrutinised based on application examples.
Although derivatives are commonly used in developed countries, it is interesting to see that derivative products are neither known nor utilized in Turkey. An increased interest in the utilisation of derivatives
would be significant in prevention from foreign exchange rate risks.

In this study, a positive relationship between education expenses and economic growth was found in the Turkish economy for the period 1970-2012. Thus it appeared that education expenses in Turkey had a positive effect on economic growth positively. A greater allocation of resources on education expenses could make the Turkish economy more dynamic. Education has a significant role in the development of countries. On one hand, it fulfills its function in providing qualitative and quantitative labour required in the development process, while on the other hand, with its production and dissemination of knowledge function, it encourages countries to follow and develop modern manufacturing technologies and to transfer them to the production process. The increase in labor productivity as the level of education increases affects the competitiveness of countries positively and facilitates openness. Differences in education level are one of the main reasons of economic performance differences between developed and developing countries. As one of the most important components of human capital, improvements in educational status are the source of significant increases in individual earnings with the contributions to business life such as increasing productivity, and thus the wages and employment opportunities of the individuals, whereas the risk of unemployment is decreased. With these aspects, increasing the level of education stands out as an effective political instrument in the struggle against unemployment and poverty especially in developing countries. The fact that education has important effects on economic growth today is accepted beyond argument. The studies to display the effect of education and education expenses on growth are highly important in Economics theory. There is a wide range of literature on this issue. The effects of education expenses on economic growth in the Turkish economy for 1979-2012 are presented in this study.
