Recurrent TMJ dislocation may be treated using a variety of techniques, including conservative therapy and surgical treatments. Objective: The objective of the study was to assess the effectiveness of treatment of recurrent dislocation of the temporomandibular joint with injection of autologous blood in superior joint space with and without pericapsular tissue Methodology: The current study was prospective was carried out at the Kabir Medical College, Gandhara University, Peshawar for duration of one year from June 2021 to July 2022. The patients were categorized into group A and B, each having 50 patients. In group A patients the autologous blood was injected in superior joint space while in group B, autologous blood was injected in pericapsular tissue. Objective: To determine the motives and attitude of newly admitted first year dental students tow... more Objective: To determine the motives and attitude of newly admitted first year dental students towards dentistry as a profession at Khyber College of Dentistry, Peshawar Material and methods: A cross-sectional study with questionnaire consisting of 12 questions regarding decision making for choosing dentistry as a profession, motives and attitude were given to newly admitted 50 students of first year at Khyber College of Dentistry, Peshawar. The study was done at the start of session 2020-2021. The data collected was statistically analyzed using Microsoft word 2016 and IBM SPSS Statistics Version 22.0 Results: Most of the students were internally motivated for selecting dentistry as a profession, 60% of the students didn’t have any relatives in dentistry, 30% thought that it is an honorable profession, 30% thought that it is a financially good profession and 35% selected dentistry because of independent practice Conclusion: Independent practice, financially good profession, honor in ...

Study Design: Descriptive study. Place and Duration of Study: Department of Neurosurgery, Mardan Medical Complex, Mardan from 1st January 2020 to 30th June 2021. Methodology: One hundred and thirty nine patients were collected from Tertiary Care Hospitals of KPK. A consent form and detailed history was performed with clinical examination and relevant investigations like CT and MRI of the brain. Pre-operative preparation was done with following investigations like complete blood count and viral serology for hepatitis, coagulation profile was carried out. Patients was assessed and included in the study according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The patients were operated by the same neurosurgeon. Study Design: Cross-sectional descriptive study Place and Duration of Study: Diabetic Center Hayatabad, Kabir Medical College Peshawar from 1st September 2021 to 28th February 2022. Methodology: Sixty nine admitted patients for the treatment of diabetes having type 1 diabetes mellitus and type 2 diabetes mellitus were enrolled. All the patients were on treatment of antibiotic such as gentacin, augmentin, amikacin and clindamycin. The specimens were analyze in microbiology laboratory and extracted by needle aspiration of material from the infected site and inoculate within 1hour after collection using gram staining smear for the detection or cytology of bacteria and its presence and absence in a specimens, for the isolation specimens were plated onto chocolate, phenyl ethyl alcohol (PEA) and MacConkey agar plate.
