In Visual arts artistic and aesthetic values are not exclusively attended. That which is visible is visual and visual image is a mental construction. Through visual, we can imagine the mental construction of an artist. Most works of visual arts is a pictorial representation and this pictorial representation distinctively contributes to the aesthetic appreciation. Pictorial representation treats picture as an artifact and in its construction cultural conventions play a decisive role while picture depends less on convention, more on inbuilt perceptual capacities. It means that pictures become distinctively visual for two reasons:
