At the grassroots or community level, sport can be seen to provide a useful way of creating an environment in which people can come together to: work towards the same goal, show respect for others and share space and equipment. All these aspects are crucial to peace-building processes and are exemplified in findings from a Peace Players International programme. A study on the role of sport in fostering social integration among different ethnic groups in South African schools showed that several factors contributed to the use of sport being successful in bringing about exchange and building relationships between different groups, including sport’s non-verbal means of communication; sport as a means to engage in collective experience and establish direct physical contact; and sport’s ability to transcend class divisions.

Yoga means "union" and refers to the state of consciousness where in one is immersed in the clarity and contentment that come when the body, mind and spirit are in harmony. The energy that flows when one is in such a unified state of awareness brings a sense of well being, peace and power. This is our natural state of being, but we have gotten away from ourselves through the various distractions of life that depletes our energy and cause us to become fragmented. Our habits, beliefs, desires and expectations push us in scattered directions and drain our energy. It is in returning to our true essence at the core of our being that we can reorient ourselves and find the source of energy, meaning and fulfillment in life. Once we change directions from searching outside of ourselves for happiness and fulfillment, to bringing our inner state of happiness and fulfillment to our outer lives-we can live creatively in harmony, balance and joy.

Out of 700 students 350 were selected from normal category and 350 from physically challenged i.e., deaf and dumb category. In each 25 boys and girls were selected (25 subjects in normal boys and girls and in each age group i.e., 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 & 14 years totaling to 350; 25 subjects in deaf and dumb in each age group i.e., 8, 9, 10 11, 12, 13 & 14 years totaling to 350). These subjects were tested initially in height and weight and the same subjects were exposed to the same tests after exactly one year without any formal sports training and the growth in their height and weight were noted. After the statistical treatment of data by utilizing 't' and 'f' test the following findings were noted: A gradual increase in weight is observed in both boys and girls (normal and deaf dumb) form 8 th year to 14 th year. The weight spurt of boys is found in the 14 th year whereas it is observed in 12 th year in case of girls. The proportionate growth in weight with respect to height is observed in both sexes and variables.

shows that music can affect arousal regulation (Lukas, N. D.: Nilsson, Unosson, & Rawal, 2005),
motivation (Karageorghis & Terry, 1997), and mood levels (G. feller, 1988). Research has also shown
that music can be a facilitator to athletic performance (Dorney & Goh, 1992; Karageorghis & Terry,
1997; Krumhansl, 2002). For instance, music affects mood states by eliciting a certain emotional
response while listening to a song (Dorney & Goh, 1992). Moreover, research has shown that music
allows athletes to disassociate from feelings of fatigue and perceived exertion rates (Karageorghis &
Terry, 1997).

shows that music can affect arousal regulation (Lukas, N.

Out of 350 students 175 were selected from normal category and 175 from physically challenged i.e., deaf and dumb category. In each 25 girls were selected (25 subjects in normal girls and in each age group i.e., 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 & 14 years totaling to 175; 25 subjects in deaf and dumb in each age group i.e., 8, 9, 10 11, 12, 13 & 14 years totaling to 175). These subjects were tested initially in acceleration ability and locomotion ability and the same subjects were exposed to the same tests after exactly one year without any formal sports training and the development in their speed abilities was noted. After the statistical treatment of data by utilizing t-test and f-test the following findings were noted: The speed ability in which specifically the acceleration ability and locomotion ability is found increasing the most at 8 th year and gradually reducing the rate of development of speed till 10 th year and again increasing steadily till 14 th year in normal boys. The rate of development of speed is observed unsteady in case of deaf dumb boys.
