The digital age has revolutionized the landscape of information dissemination, prompting institut... more The digital age has revolutionized the landscape of information dissemination, prompting institutions to explore innovative methods for preserving and sharing knowledge. This paper presents a dual case study focusing on the digital preservation initiatives undertaken by Andhra University, highlighting its efforts in the digitisation of 10,034 electronic theses contributed in Shodhganga and 1,170 rare manuscripts. The Department of Commerce and Management Studies contributed the highest number of 935 theses and the College of Arts and Commerce contributed the highest number of 4,192 theses. The Sanskrit language occupied the highest number of palm leaf manuscripts with 814, and the Kavya subject occupied the highest number of palm leaf manuscripts with 147.
