Methodology and results: Quasi experimental one group pre-test post-test design was conducted in selected primary schools of Doiwala, Uttarakhand. The study was confined to sixty six primary school teachers who fulfilled inclusion criteria. Pre-test was taken with the help of structured knowledge questionnaire and administered STP on IMBP using posters, PPT and charts. Post test was conducted after 7 days of intervention using same questionnaire. The study shows that in pre test mean knowledge score was 23.9 and in post test it was 38.51 and 't' calculated value is 27.58 which is more than the tabulated value of 2.00 at 0.05 level of significance. Conclusion: The findings of the study revealed that there was significant gain in knowledge score of primary school teachers after STP. So the study concluded that structured teaching programme had a great potential for accelerating the awareness regarding behavioural problems.

Pregnancy is a great time to start making lifestyle modifications and encourage a healthier life. Antenatal health promotion intervention is needed at an early stage of pregnancy to reduce mother and foetal mortality attributable to preventable causes. Title of the study: A study to assess the effectiveness of antenatal health promotion intervention in terms of knowledge among pregnant women in community health center, Doiwala, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Material and methods: Quasi-experimental Research approach with one group pre-test post-test design was used for the study. Purposive sampling technique was used to select 80 pregnant women fulfilling the inclusion criteria. Pre-test was obtained using socio-demographic tool and self-structured knowledge questionnaire followed by the antenatal health promotion intervention given to the pregnant women. The post-test was obtained on 7 th day after intervention was given. Descriptive and inferential statistics was used for data analysis. Results: In the pre-test knowledge score 18% pregnant women had good knowledge, 61.25% had average knowledge and 20% had poor knowledge regarding antenatal health promotion. At post-test level 21.25% had good knowledge, 66.25% had average knowledge and 12.50% had poor knowledge regarding antenatal health promotion. The post-test knowledge mean was significantly maximum than the pre-test knowledge as tcal value=9.748 was higher than ttab value=1.664. Conclusion: According to the study's findings, there was a significant rise in pregnant women's post-test level of knowledge scores regarding antenatal health promotion. The Antenatal Health Promotion Intervention was helpful in enhancing pregnant women's knowledge regarding antenatal health promotion.

First aid is the treatment of any injury or illness before availability of professional medical aid. Teacher is the key person who can attend the children for minor injuries in school through complete knowledge regarding fi rst aid management. This study was done among primary school teachers to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching program on knowledge and practice regarding fi rst aid management of selected minor injuries in children. Materials and Methods: A Quasi-experimental study with one group pre-and post-test research design was conducted among the primary school teachers of Dehradun district of Uttarakhand. Fifty primary school teachers were selected by nonprobability convenient sampling. Data were collected by knowledge questionnaire (maximum possible score 42) and self-reporting checklist (maximum possible score 23). Result: Majority (94%) of the teachers were female. Paired sample t-test revealed that the mean posttest knowledge score regarding fi rst aid management of selected minor injuries was signifi cantly higher (34.76 ± 4.35) than that of mean pretest knowledge score (27.32 ± 5.73) (P < 0.005); mean posttest practice score was signifi cantly higher (18.52 ± 2.63) then mean pretest practice score (14.52 ± 2.39) (P < 0.005). There was a signifi cant positive correlation between knowledge score and practice score of participants (r = 0.9; P < 0.001). Conclusion: This concludes that the training program was effective in signifi cant improvement of knowledge and practice score regarding fi rst aid management of selected minor injuries among study participants. Findings stress the need for such training programs, which in turn may enhance the overall health standard of the children.

Aim of the study was to assess the knowledge regarding child birth spacing among women and to assess the practices regarding child birth spacing among women. A Cross sectional survey design was used in study. Population comprises of all women having one or more child residing in majrigrant area, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. A total of 214 samples who fulfilled the inclusion criteria were selected by consecutive sampling technique. The data was collected by using self structured knowledge questionnaire and self reported practice checklist. The mean score and SD was 7.10±2.19. Mean percentage for knowledge score was 59.16%. There was a significant association between age of women with their knowledge score. The study concluded that women had adequate knowledge regarding child birth spacing but there was still lack of practices. Thus, health education programs are required to enhance the knowledge regarding child birth spacing.
