Objective. This study sought to describe the image nurses, physicians, and other healthcare profe... more Objective. This study sought to describe the image nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals have of nurses. Methodology. We performed a descriptive study conducted in 2010 on a probabilistic sample of 308 participants (100 nurses, 103 physicians, and 105 other professionals) from Buenos Aires, Argentina. The study used questionnaires with multiple choice closed questions. Results. Among the main results, we found a perception of the working conditions that imply wear, helplessness, and conflicts within the work group with greater frequency among nurses than in other study groups. Likewise, discrepancies were found between what nurses and the rest of professionals consider 'specific nursing functions'. Conclusion. Tension exists between the role prescribed by the medical model and that defined by nursing. It is necessary to conceive how the professional identity is constructed as of identifying strategies resulting from objective and subjective strategies.

A partir de la nocion de “interarchivo” de Daniel Link, ubicamos la literatura autobiografica de ... more A partir de la nocion de “interarchivo” de Daniel Link, ubicamos la literatura autobiografica de Rosa Chacel en el contexto de los archivos de la intimidad de los escritores espanoles exiliados en America por causa de la Guerra Civil (1936-1939). Considerando los estudios de Julio Premat sobre la autoficcionalizacion del autor en la literatura moderna, notamos que Rosa Chacel construye la figura singular de la escritora que se concibe a si misma en los margenes, viviendo un “exilio menor” en America, en contraste con la autofiguracion epica o heroica de otros exiliados. Consideramos en los Diarios los modos en que la autora aborda lo politico en sus escritos de la intimidad. PALABRAS CLAVE: Rosa Chacel. Literatura espanola del exilio. Escrituras de la intimidad.

Conocer de manera practica la situacion concerniente a la fijacion de la cuota alimenticia en El Salvador, a la luz de los parametros establecidos en el Art. 254 del Codigo de Familia, ademas de analizar si es necesario reformar el Art. 254 del Codigo de Familia para establecer de forma mas amplia los parametros que se utilizan para fijar cuota de alimentos. As reflexões de Rafael Sánchez Ferlosio sobre a contraposição de personagens de “Destino” e perso... more As reflexões de Rafael Sánchez Ferlosio sobre a contraposição de personagens de “Destino” e personagens de “Caráter” incorporam-se como discurso crítico ao romance El vientre de la ballena (1997) do espanhol Javier Cercas. Conciliando o gênero policial com a ficção crítica, o romance de Cercas repensa questões vinculadas ao mundo do escritor e da literatura. Com esse propósito, vale-se da leitura feita por Ferlosio do ensaio “Destino e Caráter” (1921) de Walter Benjamin. A ambiguidade irônica do narrador de Cercas e a figura do duplo nos seus relatos são vinculados à consciência da heterogeneidade enunciativa e do reconhecimento da complexidade da situação do escritor na atualidade, colocado entre a aceitação das normas da sociedade do espetáculo na literatura e o rechaço das mesmas. Destino e Caráter também como ponto de partida para interpretar o sentido do narrar e do narrador na modernidade.

Continental freshwater, irrespective of its origin, natural or artificial, may contribute signifi... more Continental freshwater, irrespective of its origin, natural or artificial, may contribute significantly to biodiversity conservation. Because of the decline of natural aquatic habitats, an increasing concern exists about the role of water ponds as spots of biological richness. Amphibians are strongly at risk since the loss of aquatic habitats, among other factors, causes the isolation of their populations. The implementation of livestock ponds as artificial wetlands may be an effective measure for enhancing amphibian decaying communities. This policy assumes that managing ponds for wildlife conservation purposes joins livestock welfare requirements, but this hypothesis has not been specifically studied. The purpose of this research is to evaluate this premise in the Urbasa-Andia Natural Park, a high-valuable environmental area that holds a relevant amphibian community and has an extended grazing history. We analyse the relationship between the amphibian assemblages present and the design and attributes of a variety of drinking points previously chosen by embodying a high environmental heterogeneity of water resources. The results of this study indicate that the quality of the water stored varies largely along the season, degrading severely in summer because of the wading of animals (in unfenced ponds) and the low water recharge. The contamination, caused by increased enteric microorganisms and dissolved N, is likely to affect livestock more severely than amphibian populations, since the sensitive breeding stage of many amphibians occurs before the loss of water quality. Although the quality of the water is essential, and mammals (wild and domestic) have an influence on it, other factors that are less considered by environmental managers emerge as main drivers of amphibian assemblages, such as hydroperiod, predator occurrence and the environmental quality of the surrounding habitat.
