Upaya optimalisasi hasil produksi padi antara lain dengan mengkaji efektivitas faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produktivitas padi. Penelitian ini bermanfaat untuk memberikan tingkat penggunaan input yang efektif dan efisien sehingga tercipta efisiensi input dalam usahatani padi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produktivitas padi, menganalisis efisiensi penggunaan input produksi pada usahatani padi, dan menghitung pendapatan usahatani padi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Ulak Jeremun, Kecamatan SP Padang, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir. Pemilihan lokasi dilakukan secara sengaja karena berkurangnya luas tanam di Desa Ulak Jeremun dikarenakan banjir. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan September 2023. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Metode Survei. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode simple random sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 60 orang petani. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Faktor yang mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap produktivitas padi di Desa Ulak Jeremun adalah luas lahan, pupuk urea, dan pupuk TSP. Sedangkan yang tidak mempunyai pengaruh signifikan adalah dosis phonska, pestisida, herbisida, fungisida, dan jumlah pekerja. (2) Efisiensi input produksi ditinjau dari harga dosis penggunaan benih dan jumlah pekerja adalah efisien. Sebaliknya, dosis yang digunakan untuk pupuk, insektisida, dan pestisida bisa lebih efisien. (3) Pendapatan usahatani padi sawah di Desa Ulak Jeremun sebesar Rp 6.940.251 per hektar per tahun. Pendapatan yang relatif kecil karena lahan petani tergenang air, sehingga banyak gulma penyebab hama di sawah yang sulit dikendalikan oleh petani.

The objectives of this research were to compare the time allocation of rubber farmers, the level of production, and the farmers' income, and also to analyze the changes in the household expenditure of conventional to organic rubber farming. The research was conducted in Musi Banyuasin District, South Sumatra Province. The samples were the farmers who changed the technology from conventional to organic farming. The Samples were selected by simple random sampling. This research shows a significant difference between the use of organic fertilizer and chemical fertilizer in rubber farming regarding time allocation, production level, household income, and expenditure. The level of time allocation revealed that organic farming was longer than conventional farming. The production level and income of organic farming were higher than those of conventional farming. The household expenditure on organic and conventional farming was at the same level.

Perubahan iklim memiliki efek yang kompleks pada masyarakat pedesaan, khususnya pendapatan petani akibat produksi rendah. Analisis tingkat risiko teknis usahatani padi sawah di lahan rawa lebak perlu dilakukan untuk identifikasi penerapan tindakan menghadapi perubahan iklim. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi risiko, tingkat risiko teknis dan nilai manajemen risiko dalam melakukan, mengetahui bagaimana perilaku petani dalam menghadapi risiko teknis usahatani, serta adopsi teknologi seperti apa yang dilakukan petani padi akibat perubahan iklim agar dapat dijadikan pertimbangan dalam kegiatan usahatani padi di lahan rawa lebak dan dapat digunakan untuk memahami perubahan iklim sehingga hasil produksi lebih maksimal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2022. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan melakukan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner kepada petani padi di Desa Sudimampir. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling dengan mengambil 90 sampel. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Risiko usahatani yang terjadi akibat perubahan iklim adalah banjir, kekeringan, dan serangan hama. (2) Tingkat risiko teknis usahatani padi sawah akibat perubahan iklim tergolong rendah dengan koefisien variasi (CV) sebesar 0,04 dan batas bawah (L) sebesar 2.610,23. Nilai manajemen risiko teknis yang diperoleh adalah 3.169,27 kg/ha/tahun. (3) Perilaku petani dikelompokkan menjadi 3 fase yaitu sebelum tanam, saat tanam, dan setelah tanam dalam menghadapi perubahan iklim, (4) pendapatan petani yang melakukan adopsi keenam teknologi lebih tinggi dibandingkan petani yang menerapkan teknologi kurang dari enam. Praktik adaptasi yang teridentifikasi meliputi; Traktor, pupuk organik, pupuk anorganik, pestisida, bibit varietas unggul, pengelolaan air, mesin panen, dan mesin perontok. Due to low production, climate change has complex effects on rural communities, especially farmers' incomes. Analysis of the level of technical risk of lowland rice farming in swamp land needs to be carried out to assist in implementing actions to deal with climate change. The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the risks faced by farmers, to analyze the technical level and value of risk management in carrying out, to find out how farmers behave in dealing with technical risks of farming, and to adopt technologies such as what rice farmers do due to climate change. This research was conducted in December 2022. The method used was a survey method conducting interviews using a questionnaire with rice farmers in Sudimampir Village. Identifying and describing vegetable marketing channels and marketing functions performed by marketing agencies, it is necessary to analyze the efficiency of vegetable marketing channels. The research method used was a survey method by conducting 35 samples of farmers who farmed three commodities, namely large chilies, cabbage, and chinese cabbage—selected snowball sampling method for marketing agencies. The data analysis used is marketing channel analysis, marketing margin analysis, farmer's share, and marketing efficiency. Nonetheless, rice production in South Sumatra has not been able to significantly contribute to meeting the ever-growing needs of Indonesia's population. Therefore, the government is always trying to increase rice production by increasing productivity and expanding the rice planting area. Rice is not only an economic good, but has become a political item. Therefore, government intervention is quite intense in stabilizing the availability of rice. One of the interventions carried out by the government of South Sumatra is targeting the planting area as a response to the availability of rice in the previous year. The purpose of this study was to analyze the response of planting area at the farmer level to changes in rice availability and supply elasticity in South Sumatra by using the previous year's planted area and the availability of rice from South Sumatra as determining indicators. The method used in this study is multiple linear regression using secondary data over a period of 20 years. The results show that the availability of rice in South Sumatra significantly affects the area planted with an elastic supply elasticity. Therefore, government programs such as printing new land or adding planting area (LTT), land optimization through increasing the planting index, and using abandoned land are urgently needed to support sustainable rice self-sufficiency in South Sumatra.

With the dissemination of the Utilization of Briquette Making Machines to treat Gambier Leaf and Twig Waste as Gambier Sap Processing Fuel, this problem will be resolved properly, because all waste will be made into briquettes so that there is no waste from the Gambier latex manufacturing process that is not utilized. Utilization of this briquette making machine will ultimately reduce the production cost of processing gambier sap by 50% and the income of gambier farmers, cooperatives and will improve the welfare of gambier farmers. Then the environment where the gambier sap is processed is clean and the garden land is the same way and the negative impact of smelly twigs and leaves can be eliminated.

Untuk menjaga kontinuitas dan kualitas karet maka tujuan dalam makalah ini adalah (1) Mengetahui urgensi eksistensi kelembagaan petani dalam pembangunan pertanian di Indonesia; (2) Mengkaji kondisi dan daya saing karet di indonesia (3) Mengidentifiasi permasalahan agribisnis karet di indoensia; (4) Strategi dalam pengembangan karet melalui kelembagaan untuk mewujudkan petani yang sejahtera. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu literature review yang kemudian dianalisis dengan metode sistematik literaryre review. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kelembagaan petani diharapkan mampu mendukung pembangunan pertanian dan peningkatan kesejahteraan petani. Keberadaan kelembagaan petani dapat menjadi wadah dalam aktivitas bersama dengan kebersamaan tersebut akan lebih efektif dalam mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan bersama. Kelembagaan dalam agribisnis karet adalah koperasi, lembaga unit pengelolahan dan pemasaran bokar (UPPB), kelompk tani dan GAPOKTAN, penyuluh pertanian serta asosiasi. Strategi pengembangan karet di sektor hilir dilakukan dengan mengembangkan sistem kemitraan antara perusahaan dan petani sehingga dihasilkan produksi karet dengan produktivitas yang tinggi dan kualitas yang baik, penguatan pemodalan, dan pengembangan ilmu industri karet.

Now many chili farmers complain about the falling price of chili in the market. Due to several problems, the researcher aims to analyze how the right strategy is to develop the chili business so that there is a balance in the market and farmers can get optimal profit. This study aimed to analyze the development of chili agribusiness using the SWOT analysis method to strengthen chili price stability. The study was conducted using two-month primary and secondary data-preliminary data obtained from direct observation and interviews with respondents based on the questionnaire. Secondary data were collected and obtained from the Department of Agriculture, and the Forestry Extension Implementing Agency, BPS. The sampling method used the purposive sampling method, as many as 42 samples from the total population in three districts in South Sumatra. The Sample taken is chili farmers who produce in 2021. Descriptive data analysis uses strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT). Based on the research results, It can be concluded that the alternative Strength Opportunity (SO) strategies are as follows: Utilization of suitable climate and soil for chili cultivation can increase chili production, which is supported by supportive government regulations, by utilizing sophisticated technology will shorten land cultivation, maintenance, and processing of chili harvest. Post-harvest technology will increase the shelf life of chili. The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the risks faced by farmers, to analyze the technical level and value of risk management in carrying out, to find out how farmers behave in dealing with technical risks of farming, and to adopt technologies such as what rice farmers do due to climate change. This research was conducted in December 2022. The method used was a survey method conducting interviews using a questionnaire with rice farmers in Sudimampir Village. The sampling method uses simple random sampling by taking 90 samples. The results of this study are (1) Farming risks that occur due to climate change are floods, droughts, and pest attacks. (2) The technical risk level of lowland rice farming due to climate change is low, with a coefficient of variation (CV) of 0.04

The research method used was a survey method by conducting 35 samples of farmers who farmed three commodities, namely large chilies, cabbage, and chinese cabbage—selected snowball sampling method for marketing agencies. The data analysis used is marketing channel analysis, marketing margin analysis, farmer's share, and marketing efficiency. Nonetheless, rice production in South Sumatra has not been able to significantly contribute to meeting the ever-growing needs of Indonesia's population. Therefore, the government is always trying to increase rice production by increasing productivity and expanding the rice planting area. Rice is not only an economic good, but has become a political item. Therefore, government intervention is quite intense in stabilizing the availability of rice. One of the interventions carried out by the government of South Sumatra is targeting the planting area as a response to the availability of rice in the previous year. The purpose of this study was to analyze the response of planting area at the farmer level to changes in rice availability and supply elasticity in South Sumatra by using the previous year's planted area and the availability of rice from South Sumatra as determining indicators. The method used in this study is multiple linear regression using secondary data over a period of 20 years. The results show that the availability of rice in South Sumatra significantly affects the area planted with an elastic supply elasticity. Therefore, government programs such as printing new land or adding planting area (LTT), land optimization through increasing the planting index, and using abandoned land are urgently needed to support sustainable rice self-sufficiency in South Sumatra.

With the dissemination of the Utilization of Briquette Making Machines to treat Gambier Leaf and Twig Waste as Gambier Sap Processing Fuel, this problem will be resolved properly, because all waste will be made into briquettes so that there is no waste from the Gambier latex manufacturing process that is not utilized. Utilization of this briquette making machine will ultimately reduce the production cost of processing gambier sap by 50% and the income of gambier farmers, cooperatives and will improve the welfare of gambier farmers. Then the environment where the gambier sap is processed is clean and the garden land is the same way and the negative impact of smelly twigs and leaves can be eliminated.

Untuk menjaga kontinuitas dan kualitas karet maka tujuan dalam makalah ini adalah (1) Mengetahui urgensi eksistensi kelembagaan petani dalam pembangunan pertanian di Indonesia; (2) Mengkaji kondisi dan daya saing karet di indonesia (3) Mengidentifiasi permasalahan agribisnis karet di indoensia; (4) Strategi dalam pengembangan karet melalui kelembagaan untuk mewujudkan petani yang sejahtera. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu literature review yang kemudian dianalisis dengan metode sistematik literaryre review. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kelembagaan petani diharapkan mampu mendukung pembangunan pertanian dan peningkatan kesejahteraan petani. Keberadaan kelembagaan petani dapat menjadi wadah dalam aktivitas bersama dengan kebersamaan tersebut akan lebih efektif dalam mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan bersama. Kelembagaan dalam agribisnis karet adalah koperasi, lembaga unit pengelolahan dan pemasaran bokar (UPPB), kelompk tani dan GAPOKTAN, penyuluh pertanian serta asosiasi. Strategi pengembangan karet di sektor hilir dilakukan dengan mengembangkan sistem kemitraan antara perusahaan dan petani sehingga dihasilkan produksi karet dengan produktivitas yang tinggi dan kualitas yang baik, penguatan pemodalan, dan pengembangan ilmu industri karet.

Now many chili farmers complain about the falling price of chili in the market. Due to several problems, the researcher aims to analyze how the right strategy is to develop the chili business so that there is a balance in the market and farmers can get optimal profit. This study aimed to analyze the development of chili agribusiness using the SWOT analysis method to strengthen chili price stability. The study was conducted using two-month primary and secondary data-preliminary data obtained from direct observation and interviews with respondents based on the questionnaire. Secondary data were collected and obtained from the Department of Agriculture, and the Forestry Extension Implementing Agency, BPS. The sampling method used the purposive sampling method, as many as 42 samples from the total population in three districts in South Sumatra. The Sample taken is chili farmers who produce in 2021. Descriptive data analysis uses strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT). Based on the research results, It can be concluded that the alternative Strength Opportunity (SO) strategies are as follows: Utilization of suitable climate and soil for chili cultivation can increase chili production, which is supported by supportive government regulations, by utilizing sophisticated technology will shorten land cultivation, maintenance, and processing of chili harvest. Post-harvest technology will increase the shelf life of chili.
