In the last two decades, domestic violence has captured the attention of all sorts of social and judicial authorities. It is crucial to gauge the structure of violence against women in India through the generic pattern, which remains more or less similar across the world. The narrative of victimhood is vital to get the proper solution of all sorts of violent acts against women in society. In Hyderabad, India has women police for such cases, and there are many statistics that we need to understand in the context of this matter of violence against women. The active collaboration between the NGOs and the government authorities is indispensable to control such criminal arenas. Family and friends can do work at a deeper level to eradicate this problem to make the society ...

The present paper is an exercise in humility to explore some of the facets of Rasa theory. Rasa a... more The present paper is an exercise in humility to explore some of the facets of Rasa theory. Rasa as the name suggests means milk, wine or gist of a thing. The ancient theorists regard Rasa as the soul of poetry. Creation has evolved from the heterogeneity of Sattva, Raja and Tama. Pleasure is the most sought after thing starting from an insect to Brahma. This aesthetic pleasure or constant consciousness in Supreme Happiness is technically or poetically designated by the name of Rasa. The earliest treatise in which the Rasa theory finds an expression is the Natyashastra of Bharat who in turn claimed to have seen its first expression in Atharvveda. Rasa according to Bharat is a thought feeling synthesis. Rasa like the recipe of a drink is made up of many bhavas (feelings). As we delve deeper into the paper the explanation of Bharat about the origin of Rasa is given. Finally deities of this Rasas are shown in a tabular form.

Aristotle in his magnum opus, Poetics, starts with this mimesis thing and goes at length telling that Mimesis or Imitation is central to existence. We human beings are better developed than brute beasts primarily because we have the highest imitating power. Plato and Aristotle both take into consideration the poets. Plato criticizing him and Aristotle accolade him on grounds on mimetic arts. As it delves deeper into the idea it explores that besides imitation, it is instinctual in nature and the other instinct is for rhythm and harmony.
