Four fuzzy input variables; machine allocated processing time, machine priority, machine available time and transportationpriority are defined. The job priority is the fuzzy output variable, showing the priority status of a job to be selected for next operation on a machine. The model will first assign operation of parts to machines under the given production plan and then determine the input sequence of the assigned operations for each machine based on a multi-criteria scheduling scheme. A complete fuzzy scheduling algorithm is developed to solve the operation allocation and operation scheduling problems in FMS environments aiming to approach the objectives of minimizing mean flowtime, maximizing machine utilization and balancing machine usage. The test results demonstrate the superiority of the fuzzy logic approach in most performance measures.

It is also one of the most promising personal robot applications. Autonomous floor cleaning robots are getting more popular for busy and aging populations. The purpose of this paper is to review the recent patents of a floor-cleaning robot based on US granted patents. An overview of fundamental floor-cleaning robots, typical patents and their patents contents are presented. Some enabling technologies which use to control the devices more capable are also patented. Some patents have now been commercialized are available for floor cleaning will be described. The significance of this paper lines in the presentation of a service robot of everyday tools for mankind, a cleaning robot in home.

In this context, capacity optimization goes beyond the traditional aim of capacity maximization, contributing also for organization's profitability and value. Indeed, lean management and continuous improvement approaches suggest capacity optimization instead of maximization. The study of capacity optimization and costing models is an important research topic that deserves contributions from both the practical and theoretical perspectives. This paper presents and discusses a mathematical model for capacity management based on different costing models (ABC and TDABC). A generic model has been developed and it was used to analyze idle capacity and to design strategies towards the maximization of organization's value. The trade-off capacity maximization vs operational efficiency is highlighted and it is shown that capacity optimization might hide operational inefficiency.

In experimental, two input parameters that were the type of HVOF sprayed coating (i.e. CrC-NiCr and WC-12Co) and the testing distance (i.e. 3000m, 6000m, 9000m, 12000m, 15000m, 18000m, 21000m, 24000m, 27000m, and 30000m). Factorial experiment technique of DOE was used the MINITAB software for designing and analyzing of optimized parameters. The influences of two parameters on mass loss were investigated using analysis of variance (ANOVA) at 95% confidence level. The main effect and interaction of two parameters were significantly affect the mass loss. The statistical results of HVOF sprayed coating were indicated the WC-12Co better abrasive wear resistance than the CrC-NiCr.
