Since then, the number of platforms that offer equity-based crowdfunding as well as the total investment in equity-based crowdfunding has steadily increased. Yet, empirical research on equity-based crowdfunding has been lagging, and the empirical evidence has suggested some inconsistent findings across different contexts. Against this backdrop, this paper investigates the success factors for equity-based crowdfunding campaigns. Using a dataset collected from the EquityNet and CrunchBase platforms, we find that lack of prior experience with fundraising is the most important factor that helps equitybased crowdfunding campaigns attract any capital at all from investors; while the number of social networking connections of the core management team and the company valuation will determine the amount of capital that a business can raise through equity-based crowdfunding. Our findings call for additional research that looks at success factors for different types of outcomes in equitybased crowdfunding.

The results show that, when moving the plexiglass wave shaper position towards the liner apex, the jet tip velocity and the jet velocity gradient increase. In addition, the results of the study also pointed out the existence of the wave shaper position at which the penetration depth is greatest. They indicate a match between the simulation and experimental results. The differences between simulated and experimental penetration depth are less than 15%. The results of the study are the basis for the evaluation of the influence of the wave shaper position on the liner collapse and the reasonable use of the wave shaper in the structure of the shaped charge.

Cylindrical samples with a diameter of 9 mm were compacted by cold pressing in a cylindrical rigid die without sintering. Various pressing conditions (the changing of pressing force, pressing velocity and dwell time) were applied for compacting the samples. After compaction, the axial strength of the samples was tested to determine the optimal manufacturing process of the frangible bullet based on the bismuth powders.

This need is addressed by developing an Internet-based surface texture analysis and information system, and a peer-to-peer data-sharing tool. These systems will help companies to diagnose problems related to surface texture in manufacturing process remotely. The development of the system has provided engineers from industry and academia a common framework for sharing, analyzing and storing surface texture data, analysis results, documents and reports. The system also provides a platform for quick deployment of solutions developed anywhere in the world. This paper presents the design, development and applications of a framework for surface texture analysis and information system.
