Despite the intuition that winning reporting awards should be primarily based on reporting qualit... more Despite the intuition that winning reporting awards should be primarily based on reporting quality, we find no evidence that Australian Securities Exchange (ASX)-listed firms winning the Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA) over the period 2003–2016 exhibit higher financial reporting quality. However, we find that winning reporting awards is associated with higher annual report readability. Next, firms winning the ARA neither show superior future accounting performance nor higher market valuation. We also find that investors are not compensated with higher stock returns. Taken together, our findings suggest that the criteria applied to decide the ARA winners capture higher levels of readability but do not correlate with common academic signals of financial reporting quality. Users of the ARA outcomes should also be cautious with the immediate interpretation that the ARA are reliable signals of superior corporate performance. JEL Classification: D82, L15, M41

We propose post-processing method for enriching not only word representation but also its vector ... more We propose post-processing method for enriching not only word representation but also its vector space using semantic lexicons, which we call extrofitting. The method consists of 3 steps as follows: (i) Expanding 1 or more dimension(s) on all the word vectors, filling with their representative value. (ii) Transferring semantic knowledge by averaging each representative values of synonyms and filling them in the expanded dimension(s). These two steps make representations of the synonyms close together. (iii) Projecting the vector space using Linear Discriminant Analysis, which eliminates the expanded dimension(s) with semantic knowledge. When experimenting with GloVe, we find that our method outperforms Faruqui's retrofitting on some of word similarity task. We also report further analysis on our method in respect to word vector dimensions, vocabulary size as well as other well-known pretrained word vectors (e.g., Word2Vec, Fasttext).

In this paper, option selling strategy is discussed which is different from traditional equity an... more In this paper, option selling strategy is discussed which is different from traditional equity and commodity trading strategies. Option selling strategies can achieve various non-linear Profit & Loss (P&L) graphs instead of traditional linear P&L graph. Option sellers make money through taking advantage of time value of option. Option sellers collect premium as time elapses. Selling straddle is proposed in this research. The strategy is back-tested using Hang Seng Index (HSI) Option data. The return of the proposed strategy is compared with HSI and its performance greatly outperforms HSI. The great profit generating ability of option selling strategy is verified in this paper.

The ultimate vision of St. Paul High School is the total evangelization of India and its neighboring countries by planting same kind of educational ministries in different states. A Christian school is a prayer school. Each class should be conducted like a church meeting with prayer and the Word seeking revival. There is a great value when the message they hear is combined with faith.
