Here piscicidal effect of locally available plant Antigonon leptopus (Hook. and Arn.) Against common freshwater air breathing predatory fish Chana punctatus (Bloch,1793)and their behavioral changes were investigated. The test fish was exposed to five different concentrations of fresh leaves aqueous extract (10,20, …50ppm) for toxicity test remaining one a control. Attempts had been made to access the impact of 24h LC 100 of the aqueous extract of A. leptopus leaves on the test fish Chana punctatus. To determine the LC 100 of the leaf extracts, relationship between observed and expected rate of mortalities of the test fish and dose-mortality relationships, Chi-square and ANOVA tests were done. This study indicates that the leaf extract of the plant species may be used as potential organo-piscicide to remove the unwanted weed fish species from the fish culture ponds as an environmentally safe and effective phyto-piscicide necessary for aquaculture management.

Research paper thumbnail of Application of Fuzzy Neutrosophic Cone in Decision Making

Journal of fuzzy logic and modeling in engineering, Sep 1, 2022

Aims: This article deals with a new decision-making process under a neutrosophic fuzzy environmen... more Aims: This article deals with a new decision-making process under a neutrosophic fuzzy environment. First of all, we develop various types of neutrosophic set by means of neutrosophic cones. In fact, this set has been developed from the general equation of second degree in the field of classical geometry. Considering the neutrosophic components “true membership”, the “falsity membership” and the “indeterminacy” as the three variables of three-dimensional rectangular axes we develop various types of cones like structures of the traditional neutrosophic set and hence a new defuzzification method. Background: Fuzzy set has some limitations in its domain [0,1] to describe real-life decisionmaking problems. The problem of difficulties lies in the variation of lower and upper bound and also the single valued logic (membership function only) systems. In reality, three valued logics (membership function, non-membership function and indeterminacy) have been established in the name of Neutrosophic logic/sets, and two valued logics (membership and non-membership functions) have developed in the name of Intuitionistic fuzzy logic/sets. In three valued logic system, the concepts of negation are now a growing subject of any group decision making problems. However, to draw a clear estimation of a neutrosophic decision has not yet been studied by modern researchers. Objective: Various kinds of new establishments of the Neutrosophic set have been studied from the algebraic point of view, along with some polynomial structures. We have seen that; no finite geometric structures have been developed yet to qualify the real-world problems. Method: We consider the three components of a neutrosophic set as the variables of threedimensional geometry. Since, the decisions are compact and constructive, we may consider the convex neutrosophic cone for analyzing single/ multiple group decision making problems. Result: Various definitions are made over the cone- fundamentals using non-standard neutrosophic set in the domain [−1,1] × [−1,1] × [−1,1]. Then, we studied the constructions of several expressions/ functions of neutrosophic cones, such as reciprocal cone, and enveloping cone via a novel thinking process. Then using some examples, we have developed a new ranking method along with their geometric structures exclusively. Conclusion: In this changing world, the nature of decision-making behaviors is also changing rapidly. So, the need of establishing new concepts is an emerging area of research. However, more attention is required in discussing such vital issues in near future. The proposed approach may be applied to the decision-making problems of global issues also.

international journal of management science and engineering management, Jan 28, 2016

However, in practice the supplier is usually willing to provide the retailer a full trade credit period for payments and the retailer just offers the partial trade credit period to his/her customers. In addition, many products such as blood for blood banks, pharmaceuticals, fruit, vegetables, volatile liquids and others deteriorate constantly and have their expiration dates. In this paper, we established optimal lot-sizing policies for a retailer who sells a deteriorating item to credit-risk customers by offering partial trade credit to reduce his/her risk. The objective is to maximize the total profit per unit time of the retailer with respect to the optimal purchase quantity during the optimal cycle time. The concavity of the total profit per unit time is demonstrated using inventory parametric values. Sensitivity analysis is carried out to advise the decision maker to keep an eye on critical inventory parameters.

For constructing various aggregation operators on intuitionistic fuzzy set, various kinds of t-norms and co-norms are the most significant tools. This work takes a closer look on various fuzzy triangular norms and uses them for the first time in an economic order quantity (EOQ) model. Traditional economic theory has a paradigm shift on objective factors affecting demand such as price and income. Recently, behavioural economics gives more weightage to psychological and social factors that affect our preferences and choices in markets differently. As per literature survey concern, this paper may indeed be the first to adopt the concept of the number of variations of a tourist's dependent demand in inventory management problems. Utilizing several triangular norms, we have characterized Attanassov (standard) and non-Attanassov's (non-standard) feasible region. A case study has been performed for numerical illustration and model validation. A solution algorithm, has also been developed which proves Attanassov's solution space is quite inferior to non-Attanassov's domain. Finally, sensitivity analysis and graphical illustrations are also provided to justify the model.

In this study, an economic production quantity (EPQ) model with deterioration is developed where ... more In this study, an economic production quantity (EPQ) model with deterioration is developed where the production rate is stock dependent and the demand rate is unit selling price and stock dependent. The low unit selling price and more stocks correspond high demandbut more stock corresponds to slow production because of the avoidance of unnecessary stocks. First of all, we develop the production model by solving some ordinary differential equations having deterministic profit function under some specific assumptions. Later, we develop the fuzzymodel by solving the fuzzy differential equations using Generalized Hukuhara derivative. In fact, the differential equation of the model has been split into two parts namely gH(L-R) and gH(R-L) on the basis of left(L) and right(R) − cuts of fuzzy numbers for which the problem itself is transformed into multi-objective EPQ problem. A new formula of aggregation of several objective values obtained at different aspiration levelshas been discussed to defuzzify the fuzzy multi-objective problems. We solve the crisp and fuzzy models using LINGO software. Numerical and graphical illustrations confirm thatthe model under Generalized Hukuhara derivative of (R-L) type contributes more profit which is one of the basic novelties of the proposed approach.

It is the first-time application of fuzzy reasoning over the backorder economic order quantity (EOQ) inventory management problem. We first define the fuzzy reasoning membership function through the use of L-fuzzy number and possibility theory on fuzzy numbers. Considering the holding cost, set up cost, backordering cost and demand rate as reasoning based fuzzy number, we have constructed a dual fuzzy mathematical problem. Then this problem has been solved over the dual feasible space which is associated to the aspiration level and the fuzzy approximation constant. Numerical study reveals the superiority of the proposed method with respect to the crisp solution as well as general fuzzy solution. Sensitivity analysis and graphical illustrations have also been done to justify the novelty of this article.

In any inventory management problem, several parameters are involved that are basically flexible in nature with the progress of time. This model can be split into three different sub-models, assuming the demand rate and the cost vector associated with the model are non-randomly uncertain (i.e., fuzzy), and these may include some of the retained learning experiences of the decision-maker (DM). However, the DM has the option of revising his/her decision through the application of the appropriate key vector of the fuzzy locks in their final state. The basic novelty of the present model is that it includes a computer-based decision-making process involving flowchart algorithms that are able to identify and update the key vectors automatically. The numerical study indicates that when all parameters are assumed to be fuzzy, the double keys of the fuzzy lock provide a more accurate optimum than other methods. Sensitivity analysis and graphical illustrations are made for better justification of the model.

Here, the supplier offers an upstream full trade credit to the retailer and the retailer in turn, provides a downstream partial trade credit to her/his customers. Demand rate is assumed to be functionally depends upon carbon emissions, unit selling price and the length of the credit period offered by the retailer to their customers explicitly. Taking a case study, we develop a profit maximization crisp problem first then considering the unit selling price and the carbon elasticity as fuzzy numbers we formulate an equivalent fuzzy problem. After that, the fuzzy problem has been defuzzified with the help of general fuzzy system and the new volumetric fuzzy system under two different scenarios namely with and without carbon emissions also. The aim of this study is to develop a best methodology over fuzzy system on trade credit financing problem so as to optimize the average profit function over the optimum design variables the credit period, the order quantity, the cycle time, the partial shortage time and minimum carbon emissions, respectively. Finally, numerical illustrations and its comparative study with the existing methods, sensitivity analysis and graphical illustrations are performed to justify the novelty of the proposed approach.
