There are several factors which can be used to control these factors and while it comes to machining tool wear plays a major role in deciding the productivity and cost of the machining process. Recently many studies have been done on the different alloys of titanium and it is found to be very useful and difficult to machine material as well. In this work turning of one of the titanium alloys is used to study the tool wear behavior during dry and minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) machining conditions. In the current work tungsten carbide (WC) insert is used for machining process. After the machining Taguchi’s analysis is used to analyze the results obtained after the machining. In this work spindle speed, feed, and depth of cut are taken as the input parameters along with the machining condition. From the results it is found that MQL provides the better results to minimize the tool wear.

In these setup two pressure cookers was used. They were connected with a brass pipe having a gateway i.e., throttling valve in it. There was a pressure gauge and a temperature gauge fixed on the cap of each pressure cooker. A flow meter connected to brass pipe by poly urethane pipe was used to measure the volume flow rate of water vapour. Steam was generated in one of the pressure cooker by boiling water and second had left empty. Now generated steam was passes through brass pipe having gateway towards second pressure cooker. In this way, all the required reading of each measuring instrument was taken by this experimental setup. Thus all the thermodynamic properties of water like Joule-Thomson curve, P-V, T-s and h-s diagrams were studying by this setup.

Having high hardness value, niobium is considered to be difficult to machine material. Hence, machining with the optimal cutting parameters becomes a necessity. The focus of this experimental work is to investigate the machining of niobium material by employing a cubic boron nitride tool to obtain a good surface quality. Taguchi methodology have been uses to find the optimum value of machining parameters, i.e., feed rate, spindle speed, and depth of cut. From the results, the effects of input parameters are studied, and with the help of optimized parameters the surface roughness of 107 nm and surface waviness of 0.55 µm is achieved.
