Because of the imprecise information and the complexity of decision problem, it is not easy to evaluate the attributes in terms of crisp numbers. To deal with the problem, neutrosophic numbers can be used during the decision process. Neutrosophic numbers can easily describe cognitive information. In this paper, we use neutrosophic numbers to state evaluation information. We define unit neutrosophic number as an effective tool to express cognitive information. We propose novel NN-TOPSIS strategy in neutrosophic number environment. Moreover, we define Euclidean distance in neutrosophic numbers environment, and propose a tangent function to determine unknown attribute weights. We propose linguistic variables in neutrosophic number environment. We present a numerical example dealing with a decision-making problem based on the proposed NN-TOPSIS strategy We present a sensitivity analysis for reflecting the influence of indeterminacy values. We then conduct a comparison analysis between the proposed NN-TOPSIS and other existing decision-making strategies.

First, we introduce an expected value formula for NTrNs to be used in MAGDM. Second, we determine the expected values of aggregated rating values and expected weight values of attributes, which are given by the decision makers. Third, we determine the weighted expected value of each alternative to rank the given alternatives and chose the desired alternative. Finally, we provide a numerical example to illustrate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Neutrosophic soft sets is a combination of neutrosophic sets and soft sets and it is a new mathematical apparatus to deal with realistic problems in the fields of medical sciences, economics, engineering, etc. The rating of alternatives with respect to choice parameters is represented in terms of neutrosophic soft sets. The weights of the choice parameters are completely unknown to the decision maker and information entropy method is used to determine unknown weights. Then, grey relational projection method is applied in order to obtain the ranking order of all alternatives. Finally, an illustrative numerical example is solved to demonstrate the practicality and effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Interval neutrosophic uncertain linguistic variables are hybridization of uncertain linguistic variables and interval neutrosophic sets and they can easily express the imprecise, indeterminate and inconsistent information which normally exist in real life situations. The rating of performance values of the alternatives with respect to the attributes is provided by the decision maker in terms of interval neutrosophic uncertain linguistic variables in the decision making situation. The weights of the attributes have been assumed to be incompletely known or completely unknown to the decision maker and the weights have been calculated by employing different optimization models. Then, an extended grey relational analysis method has been proposed to determine the ranking order of all alternatives and select the best one. Finally, a numerical example has been solved to check the validity and applicability of the proposed method and compared with other existing methods in the literature.

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems, 2019

In the paper, we propose an alternative strategy for multi-level linear programming (MLP) problem... more In the paper, we propose an alternative strategy for multi-level linear programming (MLP) problem with neutrosophic numbers through goal programming strategy. Multi-level linear programming problem consists of k levels where there is an upper level at the first level and multiple lower levels at the second level with one objective function at every level. Here, the objective functions of the level decision makers and constraints are described by linear functions with neutrosophic numbers of the form [u + vI], where u, v are real numbers and I signifies the indeterminacy. At the beginning, the neutrosophic numbers are transformed into interval numbers and consequently, the original problem transforms into MLP problem with interval numbers. Then we compute the target interval of the objective functions via interval programming procedure and formulate the goal achieving functions. Due to potentially conflicting objectives of k decision makers, we consider a possible relaxation on the decision variables under the control of each level in order to avoid decision deadlock. Thereafter, we develop three new goal programming models for MLP problem with neutrosophic numbers. Finally, an example is solved to exhibit the applicability, feasibility and simplicity of the proposed strategy.

In the model formulation of the problem, we first construct the membership functions by determining individual optimal solutions of the objective functions subject to the system constraints. The membership functions are then transformed into equivalent linear membership functions by 1 st order Taylor series approximation. Then fuzzy goal programming models are formulated in order to solve the problem by minimizing negative deviational variables. Euclidean distance function is then used to obtain compromise optimal solution. To demonstrate the efficiency and feasibility of the proposed approach, two numerical examples are solved and compared with existing methods in the literature.

The concept of neutrosophic soft sets is derived from the hybridization of the concepts of neutrosophic set and soft set. In the decision making process, the decision makers offer the rating of alternatives with respect to the parameters in terms of single valued neutrosophic set. We utilize AND operator of neutrosophic soft sets in order to aggregate the individual decision maker's opinion into a common opinion based on choice parameters of the evaluator. Then, information entropy method is employed in order to attain the weights of the choice parameters. We determine the order of the alternatives and identify the most suitable alternative based on grey relational analysis. Finally, in order to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach, a numerical example is solved.

We present a brief review of decision making models in rough neutrosophic environment. In this chapter, we propose two aggregation operators, namely, a rough neutrosophic arithmetic mean operator (RNAMO) and a rough neutrosophic geometric mean operator (RNGMO). We establish some basic properties of the proposed operators. In the decision making situation, the rating of all alternatives is expressed with the upper and lower approximation operators and the pair of neutrosophic sets, which are characterized by truth-membership degree, indeterminacy-membership degree, and falsity membership degree. Weight of each criterion is completely unknown to the decision maker. We define a cosine function to obtain the unknown criteria weights in rough neutrosophic environment. We develop four new multi-criteria decision making methods based on the proposed operators. Finally, we solve a numerical example to illustrate the feasibility, applicability and efficiency of the proposed methods.
