Palm Oil Mills convert the FFB into crude palm oil (CPO). CPO is sold to the refinery, who converts CPO into frying oil and sends the product to the distributors. The distributors subsequently sell them to the consumers. Each member of the POSC will try to optimize its added value. The aim of this paper is to develop an added value formulation as a function of risk, investment and technology levels of each of the POSC member. To facilitate fair distribution of rewards a concept of added value utility based on rsk, investment and technology level was introduced. To optimize the added value distribution between the members the concept of stakeholder dialogue was used. The selling prices were negotiated between the actors until each reached a satisfactory value, which was ruled by the levels of optimum added value utility. This research is important because the ...

One improvement in terms of the distribution system. IKM DM is a company engaged in the business of producing apparel office for women. IKM DM does not have a location for the manufacture of its products but the company has a partner that is 11 business locations convection which helps in the production activities of the company. The company currently has not implemented the planning of the number of units that should be in the order of distribution and scheduling each period for each attempt of convection. Recently, planning process only be conducted based on instinct of management and to the schedule undetermined. Every convection only be given a time limit the delivery of goods so to the warehouse IKM DM. This research focuses on the planning and scheduling distribution efforts of convection became a partner of the IKM DM using the Distribution Resource Planning (DRP) and this study only deals with products of office trousers of IKM DM. Convection that produce these products there was only 5 convection, namely convection alan, bambang, kusnandi, noto, and rani. The result of the calculation of DRP shows schedule distribution and the number of units of a product that must be submitted for each period. Based on the recapitulation for 14 period obtained the result that convection alan do order as many as 81,438 units, convection bambang as many as 18,625 units, convection kusnandi as many as 89,265 units, convection noto as many as 48,768 units and convection rani as many as 60,099 units.

One of the things that can be done is to make the efficiency of the production costs. For that, we need a production planning and control are very closely related to the raw material. The presence of raw materials becomes important because if there is a shortage of raw materials, will inhibit the production process. If the stock overload can make an effect on the cost savings that can increase the cost of the company. IKM DM is one of the industry that concerned to the manufacture of clothing garment, especially to the shorts. The Problems that are often faced by SMEs is the frequent occurrence both in the warehouse overstock raw materials and finished goods warehouse. It is necessary for research in determining the amount of raw...

Each actor will attempt to obtain the highest reward. However, each actor must consider the level of added-value obtained by other actors so as to maintain the fair balance in the overall supply chain profitability. Otherwise any of the least profitable actor will withdraw itself from the supply chain and the supply chain will collapse. In this study the authors proposed a formula to calculate the utility function based added-value for each of the actors in the POSC. The utility function is a formula based on the risk, investment and technology levels of each of the POSC actors. Permutation of the three factors was used while seeking their combination that give the highest utility function added-value. To optimize the added-value distribution between the agents the concept of stakeholder dialogue was used. This research is important because the developed models offer a workable algorithm to seek optimum weight level of underlying factors while calculating utility added-value that satisfy the POSC as a whole. Agent-based modeling approach was used for this purpose to facilitate the negotiation between all actors to reach the balanced added-values. Netlogo software was used in developing the models. The proposed utility function model provided the means to find the weight values, while the optimization model proved to be practical to calculate the expected negotiated prices between all the actors. Application of the models to other types of commodity and different supply chain model will need some adjustments in the calculation.

Calculation of added value in the palm oil supply chain from upstream to downstream was conducted using the modified Hayami method, based on the crude palm oil (CPO) industry capacity of processing 30 tons fresh fruit bunch (FFB) per hour, calculated for a year. The Hayami formula was modified to suit the business in terms of number of organization in a chain, multi-year continuous business cycles. Stakeholders in this palm oil supply chain were the smallholder farmers who produce FFB, traders, CPO industry, frying-oil industry, distributors and the consumers. The CPO industry with a processing capacity of 30 tons of FFB per hour 180,000,000 kgs of FFB was needed. This amount of FFB was supplied by 6,065 hectares of palm oil estate. Assuming that each farmer had an estate of 2 hectares, the estate belonged to 3,032 farmers. 32,832 tons of frying oil was produced annually, with a selling...

However, each actor will attempt to obtain the highest reward. In this study the authors designed a model to simulate the interaction and negotiation behaviors of the actors, and to facilitate optimum distribution of the added value, while considering the successive investment and operational risk levels. Agentbased modeling approach was used for this purpose as it provided the best means to identify and study the supply chain actors (or agents) behaviors. Netlogo software was used to develop the program. This study is important because the model can facilitate further development of various formula to calculate the fair distribution of added value among the actors, therefore ensure the supply chain sustainability. The result of this study indicated that the negotiation between all actors in POSC need to consi...

The palm oil tree regularly produces FFB from its third until 24 th year of life. The output of the farmers is measured in its weight (tonnes), so are the outputs of the trader, the CPO factory, the refinery, and the distributors/retailers. However the input to the farmer must be measured differently because the main raw materials are bought in the form of seedling or young palm-oil tree, to be planted on the field and regularly bear FFB to be later sold in tons. The objective of this study is to build a calculation model to allocate the raw material prices of the seedling. Original Hayami method to calculate single company added value was modified to facilitate calculation of the added value of supply chain network of companies. The calculation is based on the crude palm oil (CPO) factory capacity of processing 30 tons of FFB per hour, calculated for a year. The lifecycle-cost approach was used to calculate the appropriate cost of the raw material. Using this approach the raw material cost is IDR 1,012/kg, and the the total POSC added-value is IDR 13,011 per kg of product. It is expected that the modified Hayami added value calculation method can be later applied to larger and more complex industries.

This is due to its increasing dominant non-oil and gas exports, and the large number of job opportunities available. The upstream palm oil industry supply chain consists of the farmers, the traders and the CPO factories. The aim of this study is to measure the business risk levels. The methods used are the Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and Agent Base Modeling using Netlogo, Highest risk is obtained by farmers with a value of 0.516, followed by CPOfactory at 0.306 and the traders at 0.179.
