Reclosers are used as a proxy for evaluating the efficacy of this method. Distribution network reclosers are typically high-volume assets without on-line monitoring, leading to an insufficient understanding of which factors drive their failures. The ubiquity of reclosers, and their lack of monitoring, prevents the tracking of their individual remaining life, and, confirms their use in validating the proposed process. As an alternative to monitoring, periodic inspection data is used to evaluate asset risk level, which is then used in a predictive model of remaining useful life. Inspection data is often variable in quality with a number of features missing from records. Accordingly, missing inputs are imputed by the proposed process using samples drawn from an advanced form of joint distribution learned from test records and reduced to its conditional form. This work is validated on operational data provided by a regional distribution network operator, but conceptually is applicable to unmonitored fleets of assets of any power network.

Conventional method for the IT investment is adapted from the existing financial techniques which focus mainly on the returns from the assets invested. However, due to specific natures of an IT asset, financial techniques may become inappropriate and misleading. This paper proposes an alternative investment framework for the information technology assets by utilising the experiences of experts since its installation. To utilise these experiences in the proposed investment framework, the learning curve is constructed and represents as the organisational learning model in costs, performance and risks according to the asset management framework. College of Arts, Media and Technology within Chiang Mai University is used as the case study. The results have shown that the alternative investment framework performs better than conventional evaluation methods and leads to the most suitable investment option.

The result obtained from a case study shows that it can be used to facilitate the measurement of alternative energy development plan (AEDP 2012-2021) in Thailand and the ideal national energy framework, which can also be applied for the national energy framework creation and presented the overall strategic theme, objective, sub- objective and the owner of each objective under the strategic theme in objective measurement target initiative (OMTI) form. This method can help strategic planners for assigned measurement guideline under each strategic objective to the right owner. Originally, the company in lower chain will receive the policy from the top level organization such as ministry, regulator or country governor. Then, this policy can be used to set own vision, goal a...

This framework gives the benefit to the organization in order to know the ability level of the personnel and to be able to provide the personnel development method both in academic learning and workplace learning. Design/methodology/approach – This research develops the framework based on relevant methodologies. Competency-Based Development is applied to investigate the knowledge and skill of the specific task. Knowledge Engineering is used to capture the experiences and construct knowledge model from relevance parties. Capability Maturity Model is then adapted to develop the capability and maturity level of the personnel. It can then be used to cluster the knowledge and skill. Finally, the Substation Maintenance Department of Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), Thailand, is selected as a case s...

As an alternative to the analysis method that deals with disability-inclusiveness as a vague concept, knowledge management principles were applied to propose a classification method for disability-inclusive business as an emerging concept at the community level. Methods: The analysis focuses on: 1) productivity of entrepreneurs with disabilities; 2) knowledge of entrepreneurs with disabilities; and 3) understanding of customers. A total of 50 entrepreneurs with disabilities in micro and small businesses in Southeast Asia were identified in this context. Data were collected and analysed according to a story-based knowledge management approach and value chain analysis. Fuzzy logic analysis which exploited domain ontology was utilised to convert knowledge from tacit to explicit, in line with knowledge management principles. A numeric weight based on linguistic variables became available to describe each disability-inclusive business case, as well as the arrangements of fuzzy sets. Results: Out of 50 cases, 7 were classified as fully disability-inclusive while 14 were classified as not disability-inclusive. Productivity of entrepreneurs with disabilities in 3 elements of the value chain, namely procurement, product/service development and distribution, was observed to be significant. The Study showed that disability-related knowledge of entrepreneurs with disabilities could contribute to business performance according to the key success factors to enhance added value. Two elements of the value chain, namely sales/marketing and customer service, are not the decisive factors to define and clarify disability-inclusiveness.

Many EMS design approaches have been developed, though only focusing on each utility. This usually results in the fragmentation and in many cases, the duplication of the EMS, not being able to support ESI as a whole. This paper proposes an alternative design approach for an EMS based on the top-down approach. The national electricity industry framework has been developed using the application of balance scorecard. This is to define the overall required tasks within the ESI, which could then be assigned to different entities. Knowledge Engineering, especially the communication model, is then utilized to construct the knowledge and information exchange protocol between and within entity. Finally, the Common Information Model (CIM) can be developed for the EMS. In this paper, the Thai ESI was used as a case st...

As the international tourists consuming volume have decreased in average, the purchasing behavior has changed into online, planned characters especially under the conflict from COVID 19, this paper tries to find the way to solve this problem for the tourism retailing industries development and the market demand. The methods of this paper is to use the theory of tourist classification and duty-free products classification for research shoppers’ sample identification and duty free products wish lists audition, customers purchasing methods is to analyze the gap, Citespace is used here to fill the gap with domain knowledge and visualize the finding of 150 papers on tourism purchasing behavior published from 2010 to 2020.
