Even though he published 36 volumes of a monumental natural history, his work is often depicted as systematic, and lacking any empirical background. His physique is depicted as an over-inflated rhetorical device (in Voltaire’s words, “En un style ampoule, parlez-nous de physique”), and a traditional comment on his Histoire naturelle was that this natural history was “not so natural (pas si naturelle)”. Lastly, Daubenton’s contribution to comparative anatomy is often praised as the most valuable part of Buffon’s impressive collection of texts.

In technological eraedcators are expected to present interest, creative and easy to understood learning tools.Among the factors student are not interest in math is boredom, out from daily contxts and difficult to understand materials. The result of the observation of vocational secondary student in Bantul indicate that mathematics lesson one of highest level of student ditching is transformastion geometry material, but increases when drawing/painting lessons. Batik is a fine art that near to daily life student, so the existence of student worksheet by linking ethnomathematic batik is expected to presenting interest, creative and easy to understand learning. Appropriate approach to transformation geometry is the approach of Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education, while supporting learning media is using GeoGebrasoftware. The puspose of this research is to produce student worksheet using Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education by linking batik ethnomathematic. The research method used is Design Research. The subjects of this study are high school or vocational student with observation and questionnaire data collaction. From the result of observation and questionnaire is 72,5 % needs student worksheet with drawing and can be concluded the level of needs is high, although the need for futher research related to the worksheet of student batik ethnomathematic transformation geometry. Bateman published in the journal Heredity the results of his experiments on the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster. Bateman hoped he was bringing evidence for the 'greater dependence of males for their fertility on frequency of insemination' (Bateman, 1948, Heredity, 2(3), p. 364), thus purportedly explaining 'an undiscriminating eagerness in the males and a discriminating passivity in the females' (p. 365). At first rather neglected, Bateman's results were increasingly cited in the 1970s, especially as Bateman had suggested that what he had discovered in Drosophila could also be applied to humans. However, throughout the years, criticisms of the paper accumulated to the point that biologists are now divided into two groups: those who praise Bateman as one of the founding fathers of the discipline of behavioural ecology, and those who claim his paper was fatally flawed. The present paper follows the 'strange fate' of Bateman's article: initially barely cited, the paper was 'rediscovered' by Robert Trivers in 1972 (Trivers, 1972, Parental investment and sexual selection. In B. G. Campbell (Ed.), Sexual selection and the descent of man: The Darwinian pivot, pp. 136e179, New Brunswick, NJ: Transaction Publishers) and finally, the paper received numerous scathing critiques in more recent years, on a methodological and empirical basis.

For physiologists like Claude Bernard (1813-1878), Darwin was a ''transmutationist'', a disciple of Lorenz Oken and an instance of Romantic ''Naturphilosophie'' [3: 140]. Even ''Darwin's bulldog'', Thomas Huxley (1825-1895), in his first review on ''The Darwinian hypothesis'' (1859), revealed how difficult it was ''to affirm
