The WRF is driven by real weather data. The experiments quantify the recovery processes under different wind speeds and wind turbine spacing. The study is well structured and written, although the language can be improved at some parts. The results are presented clearly, but some figures need be improved to be more accessible to the reader. The discussion picks up on the novel results but also remains very superficial at some points. My main criticism of the study is the neglection of the stability, which is a main control parameter for wake recovery. This is further explained in the comment sections. With the consideration of this aspect and further improvement, the study can be a very valuable contribution to the offshore wind energy community.

METHODS Using a registry managed by the Society for Improving Medical Professional Learning (SIMPL), we extracted longitudinal operative performance ratings data for a national cohort of US general surgery residents. Operative performance at the time of graduation was estimated via a Bayesian generalized linear mixed model. RESULTS Operative performance ratings for 12,976 procedures performed by 1584 residents in 52 general surgery programs were analyzed. These spanned 17 of 31 (55%) procedures deemed important for global surgical practice. For these procedures, the probability of a graduating resident being deemed competent to perform a procedure was 0.95 (95% confidence interval 0.86-1.00) but was less than 0.9 for 3 observed procedures. CONCLUSION Our results highlight gaps in the preparedness of US general surgery trainees to perform procedures deemed most important for global surgery settings.

This paper presents the survey on honey bee foraging behavior algorithm for load balancing in cloud computing. There are many advantages of it over other nature-inspired algorithm. For instance, there is a direct communication amongst bees about direction and destination of quality and quantity of food, also bees can calculate their present location from their past trajectory continuously, etc.

Disposal of these often toxic wastes is the major problem faced and can potentially be solved by their use in the construction industry. The main aim of this study was to utilize the argon oxygen decarburization (AOD) steel slag (a waste product from the stainless steel industry) in the concrete mix for construction of rigid pavements. The present study evaluated various properties of concrete mixes containing 0-25% of AOD steel slag as a partial replacement of ordinary portland cement and further curing the mixes for 28, 90, 180 and 365 days. Thus, the study investigated the compressive and flexural strengths, abrasion resistance, resistance to acid attack and resistance to sulfate attack of concrete mixes. Further, scanning electron microscope, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and toxicity characteristic leaching potential (TCLP) analyses were also conducted to study the micro-structural properties and leaching characteristics of steel slag mixed concrete. Compressive and flexural strength showed the positive results as the curing period of the specimens increased. Durability properties were less affected by the addition of AOD steel slag. TCLP analysis revealed that the toxicity of steel slag concrete was found within the permissible limits as compared to the raw steel slag. Further, to approximate the underlying relationship existing between the input-output data, a Legendre functional link neural network has been implemented for the prediction of compressive and flexural strengths.

The properties of the jarosite mixed concrete, in which the jarosite had partially replaced (0, 10, 15, 20 and 25%) the Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), were also studied. Compressive and flexural strengths, abrasion resistance, air permeability and sorptivity of concrete mixes were also investigated after the curing periods of 28, 90, 180 and 365 days. Further, SEM, EDS and TCLP analysis were conducted to study the micro-structural properties and leaching characteristics of jarosite mixed concrete. From the experimental results it was found that the compressive and flexural strengths showed significant improvement when the curing period of the specimens was increased. Air permeability and sorptivity tests had given best results when the cement was replaced by 25% of jarosite. Further, the TCLP analysis revealed that toxicity of the jarosite concrete was found within permissible limits as compared to the raw jarosite.

The method involves a total of five mixes including the control mix which was prepared by partially replacing the cement by the jarosite varying from 10, 15, 20 and 25%. It was noticed that incorporation of jarosite did not much alter the fresh concrete properties, as it was well within the desired range. The present laboratory investigation results also confirmed that as the percentage of jarosite in the concrete mix was increased, the mechanical properties of the concrete tend to decrease gradually but can be improved further by adding mineral and chemical admixtures. Further, the water absorption properties were also got improved. Other durability properties like acid attack, chlorine resistance and abrasion loss were found to decrease as the percentage of the jarosite in the concrete mix was increased. From the study, it can be concluded that, up to 15% of jarosite can be used as the replacement of the cement in the construction of the highways. Higher percentage of the jarosite can be used for low traffic volume or village roads for the safe disposal and reuse of the industrial waste.

Retail-real estate synergy had started addressing an uptrend in the metros from 2012 onwards. Even, the consumer perception towards a mall has changed drastically over the past decade; from just considering a mall as an entertainment option to a complete shopping zone. Also, realizing the psychologically involved nature of women in shopping in comparison to their male counterparts, the current study aims at examining the relationship between the demographic variables and psychographic purchase behaviour of females shopping women apparels and accessories in the stores in Delhi malls. This study is based on empirical research conducted through a mall intercept survey in 6 malls in Delhi chosen purposely. It followed multi-stage sampling with a sample size of 100x6=600 female shoppers. The findings of this study are consistent and have been supported by previous studies. It revealed that demographical factors have an impact on the buying pattern of the respondents. The conclusion advocates that there exists a significant relationship between the demographical factors and the psychographic purchase behavior of the female shoppers. However, the relationship between age and psychographic purchase did not reach the level of statistical significance yet, the purchase behaviour varied with age.

Hadoop creates a cluster of machines and coordinates the work among them. It has two major components HDFS and Map Reduce. HDFS is mainly designed to store the large amount of data ie reliable and also provide high availability of data to user application which is running at client side. Multiple data blocks are created by HDFS and to enable reliable, extreme rapid computation each of the duplicate block is stored across the number of servers as a pool. All the files in HDFS are managed by a single server, the `Name Node'. Name Node stores metadata, in its main memory, for each file stored into HDFS. As a consequence, HDFS suffers a performance penalty with increased number of small files. Storing and managing a large number of small files imposes a heavy burden on the Name Node. The number of files that can be stored into HDFS is constrained by the size of Name Node's main memory. Further, HDFS does not take the correlation among files into account, and it does not provide any prefetching mechanism to improve the I/O performance. In order to improve the efficiency of storing and accessing the small files on HDFS, a solution based on the works of Dong.et.al, namely Extended Hadoop Distributed File System (EHDFS) is used. In this approach, a set of correlated files is combined, as identified by the client, into a single large file to reduce the file count. So, An indexing mechanism has been built by Chandrasekar S.et al to access the individual files from the corresponding combined file. Further, index prefetching is also provided to improve I/O performance and minimize the load on Name Node. Also, For removing the single point of failure and increasing the storage capacity of the architecture, `Avatar Node' is used as a solution given by S. Chandra Mouliswaran.et.al. So, this paper focuses on increasing the `efficiency' of the indexing mechanism for handling `Small files' in HDFS by adding the concept of `Avatar node' that handle the problem in case of failover of a primary Name Node.

Antibiotics are a mainstay of treatment for acne, yet the emergence of resistance against the currently approved antibiotics is a serious concern. In this case report, a slow responder had multiple Propionibacterium acnes isolates with varied levels of sensitivity to the conventional antibiotics. The bacterial isolates obtained from acne samples collected from the patient were analyzed for phylogeny, and was found to be largely restricted to two different lineage patterns. Propionibacterium acnes phylotype IA1, which is considered to be pathogenic, displayed clindamycin sensitivity, but phylotype IB, which is associated with commensals, exhibited high clindamycin resistance. Sensitivity analysis revealed uniform resistance to macrolides, but

As a general rule, resistance levels are high to macrolides, trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole and clindamycin, while tetracyclines and levofloxacin have low resistance potential. Newer preparations like doxycycline MR and doxycycline 20 mg are subantimicrobial and may not lead to resistance. Sampling techniques are crucial to determine resistance. Genomic evaluation using 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing can be useful in diagnosing mutations and mapping phylotypes of Propionobacterium acnes. Resistance may lead to slow response and relapses. Apart from benzoyl peroxide, azelaic acid, topical dapsone, oral zinc and retinoids, novel molecules with little resistance potential include octadecenedioic acid, phytosphingosine, lauric acid, retapamulin, resveratrol, T-3912 and NB-003. The use of oral retinoids and non-antibiotics like zinc can prevent resistance and help reduce the dependence on antibiotics.
