Theoretical framework: This study integrates theoretical perspectives on HRM practices, organizational justice, and employee performance. It posits that HRM practices have a direct positive impact on employee performance, while organizational justice moderates the relationship between these factors and employee performance. Design/methodology/approach: A survey questionnaire instrument was employed to collect data from 387 employees working at Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Wealth (MAFW) department in Oman. The study population consisted of the employees of two public institutions (The Financial Supervisory Authority in the Governorate of Dhofar and the Directorate of Municipal Affairs in the Governorate of Dhofar). Primary data was collected from a convenient sample of 145 via an electronic questionnaire due to the directives related to social distancing in light of the global health crisis (COVID 19). The data were analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Smart Partial Least Squares (Smart PLS). A questionnaire was created for quantitative purposes. The questionnaire comprises 29 items divided in each variable. The respondents of the survey were 305 Employees from industrial companies in the Dhofar region participated in the study. Random probability sampling used. Using partial least squares analysis, four hypotheses were developed and analyzed. Results showed that green recruitment has significantly influences green supply chain. Green training has significantly affected the green supply chain management. Green performance appraisal has significantly affected to green supply chain management. Green encouragement has significantly effect the green supply chain management.

This research aims to examine and compare the performance for Islamic banks (IBs) and conventiona... more This research aims to examine and compare the performance for Islamic banks (IBs) and conventional Banks (CB) in Oman during 2013-2015. Financial ratio analyses are employed to measure profitability, solvency and capital adequacy of seven conventional banks and two Islamic bans. IndependenSamples t T- Test was used to determine the whether there is a difference in the performance for IBs and CB. The finding of the research establishes that conventional banks are more profitable and significantly different from Islamic banks in terms of return on assets (ROE), return on equity (ROE) and Net profit margin (NPM). While, Islamic banks were performing better in term of efficiency ratio (EFR), debt to assets ratio (DAR). debt to equity ratio (DER) and credit to deposits ratio (TCTD) .The difference is statistical significant.

This study intends to measure the presence of entrepreneurial characteristics like (Risk-Toleranc... more This study intends to measure the presence of entrepreneurial characteristics like (Risk-Tolerance, Persistence, Self-confidence) among university students in developing countries. The study also aims to examine the influence of the entrepreneurial characteristics on the intention of these students to involve in entrepreneurial ventures after completing their studies. In addition, the study intends to compare between students in different universities on the level of availability of entrepreneurial characteristics, and the readiness to establish entrepreneurial projects. The study population consists of students of three universities in Oman and Sudan of which the sample consisted of 660 students randomly selected. Out of them 574 questionnaires were found valid for analysis. Following a descriptive approach and using relevant statistical tests the study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which, shows that the level of the availability of the entrepreneurial characteristics, and entrepreneurial intention among the students of the three universities was found to be high. The results showed a high level of self-confidence and high level of entrepreneurial intention for Dhofar University students compared to students of the Sudan International University and University of Bahri. The results demonstrates that the impact of entrepreneurial characteristics of students on their entrepreneurial intention is statistically significant. .

Furthermore, the research focuses on exploring the mediating role played by human capital in HPWS and job performance relationship.Design/methodology/approachData was collected from service sector employees. A sample of 400 respondents was selected from the chosen population using purposive sampling.FindingsThe results reveal that HPWS and human capital positively and significantly affect job performance. The impact of HPWS in creating human capital was also supported. This quantitative study discusses the role of the "Shura" Consultative Council in monitoring gove... more This quantitative study discusses the role of the "Shura" Consultative Council in monitoring government performance in the Sultanate of Oman. The problem lies in the lack of any previous study that would have discussed the work of the Council and its mechanisms used as a control function of government agencies, which is as per researcher's knowledge. The purpose of the study is to identify the role of the "Shura" Council in monitoring government performance and to discussing the mechanisms followed by the Council in monitoring government performance. The researcher adopted the analytical, descriptive methodology, where the research society consisted of 85 members of the "Shura" Council in the Sultanate of Oman. The researcher distributed 70 questions to the members of the council before one of the sessions which represents 76.3% of the total Board members. The results showed that the use of the meter as control tools on government institutions is high, and the most used tools were the question tool, while the least used are the interrogation tool. The levels of regulatory instruments in government institutions are strong, and the most powerful tool is the discussion, while the lowest is the power of the rapid statement tool. The study recommended intensifying the use of "urgent statement tools" and "truth-finding" and "interrogation" methods for monitoring government institutions because of their high importance.

The objective is to examine the impact of ownership and management separation on the performance of the family businesses. The study uses the descriptive survey method and a sample of 36 family owned businesses for the survey. A questionnaire is used to collect data. The findings of study shows positive relationship between the separation of ownership and customer as well as employees satisfaction also has statistical significance on the different dimensions of the dependent variable (corporate performance).
