In October 2009 it was one of the first regions in the Russian Federation to be hit by the H1N1 influenza virus pandemic, which persisted in the region for 12 weeks. According to the official epidemiological data, from a population of 1 117 308 people, 128 463 (11.5%) were infected with the H1N1 influenza virus. The maximum daily morbidity growth rate was 67% in adults and 111.4% in pregnant women. Pregnant women are at an increased risk for flu and its complications and the rate of hospital admissions among pregnant women is higher than for the general population [1-4]. During the pandemic there were 8570 pregnant women in the region, and 2394 developed the H1N1 virus infection. The incidence of viral pneumonia during pregnancy was 2.47-times higher than in the general population. During the pandemic, 3 pregnant women died. According to the regional epidemiological annual report, the mortality rate was 0.12% in pregnant women compared with 0.05% in the general population. A cross-sectional analysis was performed using the medical histories of 320 pregnant women from the regional hospital in Chita: 220 patients with H1N1 virus infection and 100 pregnant women from the region who did not develop flu. The virus was detected in respiratory

In the research literature, there have been recorded instances of imbalance of interleukins and tumour necrosis factors in the cervix tissues, endocervical mucus, suggestive of the potential feasibility of the use of immunomodulatory therapy.Purpose of the study. To assess the effectiveness of the use of the domestic drug allokin-alpha in the treatment of high-risk HPV infection (HPV) in patients of reproductive age, without elimination of the virus within more than 6–12 months and planning pregnancy.Materials and methods. The study included 60 patients of reproductive age with chronic HPV carriage – BP infection. They are represented in the study by two groups: 1st: 30 people in whose therapy allokin-alpha was not used (control group); and 30 patients without HPV BPV elimination in terms of more than 6–12 months, planning pregnancy and taking the domestic cytokiton-like immunomodulator allokin-alpha.Results. The anti-tumor immune cycle (AIC) is a necessary molecular mechanism that prevents the occurrence and progression of a tumor. It is known that during the development of CC, several mechanisms disrupt the AIC and contribute to tumor progression. Recent data show the role of human papillomavirus (HPV) in the AIC regulation as a mechanism for the emergence of tumor resistance to the anti-tumor immune response. Aim. To study the levels of AIC proteins (sCD25, 4-1BB, B7.2, TGF-b1, CTLA-4, PD-L1, PD-1, Tim-3, LAG-3, Galectin-9, sCD27, PD-L2) in patients with high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL) and CC, depending on the HPV status. Materials and methods. A prospective study enrolled women of reproductive age with HSIL (n=53) and stage IIII СС (n=93). The control group included female volunteers without cervical abnormalities (n=30). The study material was the cervical epithelium. Study methods:...

To compare risk factors, features of COVID-19 course and outcomes in pregnant women during epidemic increase in incidence in 2020 and 2021. Materials and methods. The study included 163 pregnant women with laboratory-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection within May December 2020 (1st2nd waves of the epidemic) and 158 pregnant women who had new coronavirus infection within May August 2021 (3rd wave of the epidemic). Patients in all groups were comparable in age (1835 years), social status, parity, body mass index, and had no known risk factors for COVID-19. Results. Iron deficiency anemia, smoking, belonging to the Buryat ethnic group were recognized as persistent risk factors for COVID-19 in pregnant women. Over the 1st year of the pandemic, in pregnant women, the following clinical manifestations of novel coronavirus infection were commonly seen: anosmia (87.7%), somnolence (68.7%), shortness of breath even with a mild lung damage (68.1%). In the 3rd wave of the 2nd year of the pande...

Although amenorrhea may result from a number of different conditions, a systematic evaluation including a detailed history, physical examination, and laboratory assessment of selected serum hormone levels can usually identify the underlying cause. Treatment goals for patients with amenorrhea may vary considerably, and depend on the patient and the specific diagnosis. The objective of the presentation is to describe the guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of different types of amenorrhea and relate the major recommendations for the patient management. Congenital malformations of the female genital tract are common miscellaneous deviations from normal anatomy with amenorrhea and reproductive consequences. Until now, three systems have been proposed for their categorization but all of them are associated with serious limitations. The ESHRE/ESGE classification system of female...

This examination was conducted among 130 planned-pregnancy healthy young women aged between 19 and 29 years. A gene mutation analysis was performed using a real-time polymerase chain reaction (real-time PCR). Factor V Leiden (FVL G1691A) and prothrombin gene (FII G20210A) mutations were not identified in the women surveyed. The frequency of the occurrence of the heterozygous FVL 1691G/A genotype associated with the risk of thrombosis during pregnancy was very low in these women (0.8%). The frequency of the MTHFR (methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase) 1298C/С mutant genotype was 11.5%, MTHFR 677T/Т – 5.4%, and MTRR (methionine synthase reductase) 66G/G – 31.5%.
