The main goals are to first improve the identification ratio by controlling the radiation beam pattern and, second, to control the beam direction. Since every vehicle has a license plate, the available plate structure is used to design the antenna. The shape of the tag is rectangular and has a dimension of 525 mm × 116 mm, which is smaller than the typical size of standard plates, 540 mm × 120 mm, used in Europe and Korea. The fabricated tag antenna, the license plate, and the vehicular bumper are fixed by volt and nut. For vehicle tracking and identification, RFID readers are deployed on the road side. For efficient identification, a long distance passive UHF RFID license plate with a patch antenna is proposed to provide not only line-of-sight identification but also left and right...

Data were collected through a structured questionnaire from women married at the time of survey. Interview was carried out for a total of 600 women age 15-49. An analytical study was done to find the association between unmet needs and the explanatory variables using binary logit model. Result of this study indicated that, clients chose family planning methods basing on few options given as most of health centers' family planning providers sampled were biased towards the three most commonly used methods, depoprovera, pills and condoms respectively. Low utilization of modern contraception despite a near universal awareness through various forums confirms that the women need more knowledge on FP methods that will focus on available options and their effects on health. Women who discussed choice and use of contracept...

Data were collected through a structured questionnaire from instructors and students of Adigrat University as well as Mekelle and Aksum Universities for comparison purpose. Both quantitative and qualitative data were carried out. Result of this study indicated that, instructors were not continuously collecting information about student progress, small number of assessment is used in courses and few instructors give feedback at all. Significant number of instructors and students had poor knowledge and negative attitude towards CA. Based on the results, it can be concluded and recommend that instructors need to use the results from CA as a means of identifying students ’ progress and thereby providing support. Accordingly, departments need to have strong documentation and reporting systems, the maximum and minimum numbers of students in a class need to be put at a st...

One hundred twenty people with cancer and heart disease were surveyed. They were asked to indicate their degree of agreement related to their experience to the disease on each scale. A large proportion of patients reported experiencing severe to mild psychosocial problems in their day to day activities. Patients reported experiencing problems in the areas of anxiety (90.9%), depression (90.8%), psychological (73.3%), social (65.8%), coping (83.3%), and psychosocial wellbeing (88.3%). T-test indicated significant gender difference. Whereas, one-way ANOVA indicated the absence of significant disease type difference for psychosocial wellbeing. In conclusions many people with cancer and heart disease were experiencing psychosocial problems since they are diagnosed with their disease. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire from both the instructor’s side and students’ side from the three universities. Quantitative data analysis as well as qualitative data was carried out. The results of this study on CA show that instructors are not continuously collecting information about student progress, Small number of assessment is used in courses, few instructors give feed back at all, significant number of instructors and students have poor knowledge and negative attitude towards CA. On the other hand, the results of this study on remedial instruction show that remedial instruction is effective and beneficial to low academic achievers, the pre and post remedial programs, which met students’ needs and lear...

T-test indicated significant gender difference. Whereas, one-way ANOVA indicated the absence of significant disease type difference for psychosocial wellbeing. In conclusions many people with cancer and heart disease were experiencing psychosocial problems since they are diagnosed with their disease. Introduction Cancer and heart disease are major health problems throughout the world. CVD is the most widespread and the most costly health problem in the industrialized world. With rising cardiovascular problem there has been increasing interest in the observed association between poor cardiovascular health and poor psychological health (Anyadubalu, 2010). The annual cost of cancer including both direct medical cost and indirect cost due to disability, work loss, and premature mortality, were estimated to be $98 billion in 1997. Because, of its increasing prevalence, disease burden on the individual, and economic cost to the nation, cancer should be seen as a prominent health problem (Nezu &, Nezu, 2003). Proper psychosocial support for people with cancer and heart disease achieves far better medical outcomes than physical care alone, but still in the case of our country most of the persons who are suffering from cancer and heart disease whenever they are moved to health centers they are given only medical treatment. Therefore, in the promotion of the psychosocial wellness of people with cancer and heart disease, the physicians, the family of the patient, the patient himself, and friends can play a significant role, in addition to counselors and social workers. Taking the above in to account there is a need to conduct studies in hospitals to identify the specific health related problem of cancer and heart patients. This study attempts to explore the psychosocial wellbeing of people with cancer and heart diseases. Therefore, the main objective of this study was to identify the psychosocial wellbeing of people with cancer and heart diseases at Ayder referral hospital Tigray, Ethiopia.
