Compound by management software, Drones and specific IoT devices, both referred to as sensors, the sensors collect the data of the interest areas in real time, creating a specified database. Based on the data collected from the interest areas, SIGI software has the ability to show real-time situational analysis of these areas and allows that the administrator can optimize resources (material and human) improving the efficiency of resource allocation in these areas. In addition to the development of the management software, the development of sensors to collect the information in the field and update these information to the database of the management software, are considered. The sensors will be recognized as IoT devices for the collection of meteorological data, images and command / control Drones. Initially the system will be customized, using an Artificial Intelligence tool, to collect data and identify the outbreaks of the dengue mosquito, zika and Chikungunya, nominee by risk areas. After the definition of the potential risk areas, in a complementary way, a totally customized Drone will be used to map these areas of interest, generating aerial photographs, identifying and geotagging the potential “targets”, which will allow the agents to identify potential mosquito breeding sites. After the identification of breeding areas, the next step will be the effective combat of the vectors, using the Drones to fly over the areas of interest, where biological defenses will be “dropped” over the targets to combat mosquitoes. Due some Drone flight restrictions over the cities, the whole process will be monitored by a situation room, that will be able to control the Drone remotely, access the air space controller, reads the sensors installed in the city (field), that will measure, for example, rainfall through weather stations installed in risk areas and subsequently processed by Intelligent System Integrated Management (SIGI), which will result to the information public official reflecting the situational analysis of the areas, which will enable a better management of available resources, helping the public agent, preventively in the decision making.

Currently, the arithmetic mean value of the payback period for the purchase of BEVs is 24.23 years in 27 analyzed state capitals, suggesting broad-based adoption remains years away.

The objective of this experimental work is to be an initial study on how the electric energy generation of photovoltaic cells varies according to the different wavelength ranges of the solar light spectrum under real operating conditions. Two modules were installed outdoors; color filters, which allow the passage of light at specific wavelengths, were installed on one of them. The amount of energy produced by the module with the filter was compared to the reference module, and the relative efficiency of each filter was defined. As a result, it was found that crystalline silicon modules do not respond uniformly to sunlight, being more sensitive to the red band (relative efficiency of 23.83%) and less sensitive to the green band (19.15%). The infrared contributes to a significant portion of energy producti...

Thence, it was found that current SOFC operating conditions lead to issues, such as carbon surface deposition, sulfur poisoning and quick component degradation at high temperatures, which make it unsuitable for a few applications. Therefore, many researches are focused on cell performance enhancement through replacing the materials being used in order to improve properties and/or reduce operating temperatures. Most modifications in the anode aim to avoid some issues concerning conventionally used Ni-based materials, such as carbon deposition and sulfur poisoning, besides enhancing catalytic activity, once this component is directly exposed to the fuel. It was also found literature about the cathode with the aim of developing a material with enhanced properties in a wider temperature range, which has been compared to the currently used one: LSM perovskite (La 1-x Sr x MnO 3). Novel electrolyte materials can have ionic or protonic conductivity, thus performance degradation must be avoided at several operating conditions. In order to enhance its electrochemical performance, different materials for electrodes (cathode and anode) and electrolytes have been assessed herein.

This integration has been improving the surgical process of dental implant, applying concepts and methods of product engineering. In this context, this paper proposes a reasoning system that is capable to support a dental implant design for a single failure through CAD geometric modeling. This article has presented a case study of single dental failures that validate the reasoning system developed in the Matlab environment applying inside the Concurrent Engineering environment. The results demonstrated that the proposed reasoning system has potential to offer support to dentistry into determination of the dental implant set more accurate to each patient.

Into this, and learning from the automotive and aerospace industries factories from other segments are starting to understand and apply manufacturing and assembly oriented projects to ease the task of generate goods and from this obtain at least a part of the expected results. This paper is intended to demonstrate the applicability of the concepts of Concurrent Engineering and DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) in the development of products and parts for the White Goods industry in Brazil (major appliances as refrigerators, cookers and washing machines), showing one case concerning the development and releasing of a component. Finally is demonstrated in a short term how was reached a solution that could provide cost savings and reduction on the time to delivery using those techniques.

Nowadays, the qualified professionals of physical evaluation have to use specific devices to obtain biometric signals and data. These devices in the most of the time are high cost and difficult to use and handling. Therefore, the

The involvement of professionals from different areas contributes to strengthening the IPDP phases, but a major barrier is the correct interpretation and understanding of the information shared by them, which allows the addressing of the product’s requirements and the feeding of the design structure. This paper aims to outline the first steps of the IPDP oriented for TA using the Integrated Definition Methods (IDEF) tool applied to a device design to assist in the training of athletes with visual disabilities. This step of the process focused on Object-Oriented Design Method (IDEF4) and Ontology Capture Method (IDEF5) from IDEF family. The result shows that through the use of the IDEF method oriented for the design of an AT product, the information sharing and the design global aspect to all team members was favored, promoting better co...

The substrate surface pretreatment consisted of polishing with 1-mm diamond paste using oxalic acid followed by pitting in an ultrasonic bath with a 0.25-mm diamond powder suspension in n-hexane for 20 min. The main parameters of the diamond growth with CH 4 /H 2 gas mixture and the mechanical properties of the substrate have been studied as a dependence of substrate temperature. The film was completely formed after 20 min at a 800°C substrate temperature. The adherence between film and substrate has been shown to be strongly dependent on substrate temperature and growth time. Adherent and good quality CVD diamond films, as thick as 10 mm, have been obtained at a 600°C growth temperature. Stress dependence on growth parameters has been studied by Raman spectroscopy.

These employees receive exclusive training to work on the companys plant floor. This research was limited to PCP (Planning and Production Control) classes, where was used the courseware, teaching methodology and student-employee assessment outlined in the structure of Product Development Process oriented for Assistive Technology. The main challenge was planning the training for a group of students that present physical, mental, visual or hearing disabilities. The research objective is to present the research conducted in the class and the possibility of development of teaching methods and materials that reach the cognition level of students with disabilities in the PCP subject, making them aware of the necessity of teamwork and consequently enabling them to perform their function as well as raise awareness f...
