(Moraceae), four Diels-Alder type adducts (DAs) [morusalbins A-D], one isoprenylated flavonoid [albanin T], together with twenty-one known phenolic compounds were isolated from its root bark. The chemical structures were established using NMR, MS, and ECD spectra. The DAs including morusalbins A-D, albasin B, macrourin G, yunanensin A, mulberrofuran G and K, and albanol B exhibited strong inhibitory activities against both protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) (IC, 1.90-9.67 μM) and α-glucosidase (IC, 2.29-5.91 μM). In the kinetic study, morusalbin D, albasin B, and macrourin G showed noncompetitive PTP1B inhibition, with K values of 0.33, 1.00, and 1.09 μM, respectively. In contrast, these DAs together with yunanensin A produced competitive inhibition of α-glucosidase, with K values of 0.64, 0.42, 2.42, and 1.19 μM, respectively. The HR-MBR was operated at permeate flux of 30L/m(2)h. The results indicated that the HR-MBR could eliminate 93.1±1.5% of DOC while removing less than 53% phosphate (PO4-P). Due to low phosphate removal by HR-MBR, a post-treatment of strong base anion exchange resin (Dowex(∗)21K-XLT), and zirconium (IV) hydroxide were used as adsorbent in MAHS for further removal of phosphate from HR-MBR effluent. It was found that the MAHS enabled to eliminate more than 85% of PO4-P from HR-MBR effluent. Hence, HR-MBR followed by MAHS lead to simultaneous removal of organics and phosphate in a reliable manner. The experiments were conducted only for a short period to investigate the efficiency of these resins/adsorbents on the removal of phosphorus and high rate MBR for organic removal.

Daday established this genus on a single female of H. tylenchiformis recovered from a mud hole on Banco Island, Paraguay in 1905 (Sher 1963, Krall 1990). Hoplolaimus species are distributed worldwide and cause damage on numerous agricultural crops (Luc et al. 1990Robbins et al. 1998). In 1992, Handoo and Golden reviewed 29 valid species of genus Hoplolaimus Dayday, 1905 (Handoo and Golden 1992). Siddiqi (2000) recognised three subgenera in Hoplolaimus: Hoplolaimus (Hoplolaimus) with ten species, is characterized by lateral field distinct, with four incisures, excretory pore behind hemizonid; Hoplolaimus (Basirolaimus) with 18 species, is characterized by lateral field with one to three incisures, obliterated, excretory pore anterior to hemizonid, dorsal oesophageal gland quadrinucleate; and Hoplolaimus (Ethiolaimus) with four species is characterized by lateral field with one to three incisures, obliterated; excretory pore anterior to hemizonid, dorsal oesophageal gland uninucleate (Siddiqi 2000). IEEE 802.11a uses 5 GHz frequency band and its PHY is based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). In this paper, we evaluate the OFDMbased PHY and MAC performance of IEEE 802.11a under various practical wideband channel models, which are abstracted from actual propagation measurements. The effects of different transmission modes defined in PHY on the IEEE 802.11 system performance are investigated. We also discuss the impact of link adaptation, which attempts to choose the best-suited transmission mode according to channel conditions, on the overall system performance.

All three cores largely melted in the first three days. The accident was rated 7 on the INES (International Nuclear Event Scale) scale, due to high radioactive releases in the first few days. After two weeks the three reactors (units 1-3) were stable with water addition but no proper heat sink for removal of decay heat from fuel. By July they were being cooled with recycled water from the new treatment plant, and reactor temperatures had fallen to below 80ºC at the end of October, and official 'cold shutdown condition' was announced in mid December. In this paper, the nuclear power plant No. 4 at Fukushima was chosen for the analysis-thermal power 2,381 MW; electrical power 784 MW; 658 spent fuel bundles (39,456 spent fuel rods); spent fuel water pool volume 1,400 tonnes. Detail analysis of various heat pipe design cases to determine the best design concept in terms of cooling power, construction and cost are presented. The best design when considering thermal safety margin and cost is the heat pipe cooling 0.9 MW; 1,662 heat pipe modules; water temperature will reach to peak 68 °C after 75 hours, and will be saturated at 50 °C after 2,000 hours. The estimated cost for complete heat pipe cooling system is about 2.16 Millions USD.

Tertiary networks and telecommunications engineering students are required to learn all aspects about the Internet and Internet services. The open-source, research and teaching platform, Network Simulator (NS) was integrated with the open-source Joint Model (JM) H.264/AVC encoder-decoder to educate students about computer networks. On this integrated educational platform, videos can be encoded and encapsulated into network packets with modifications to JM encoder source code. These packets are sent across a NS simulated network with a simulated NS multicast server. NS multicast clients subscribe to NS multicast servers. Other network traffic can compete with the multicast packets and cause congestion. Traffic shaping, fairness and other networking techniques can be simulated with real video data. Packet loss in such an environment is inevitable. Multicast clients receive the video stream with some losses. Clients' data can be decoded using a modified JM decoder. Lost data can be concealed using error concealment techniques or reconstructed with losses. The integration of NS and JM is ideal to teach the next generation's network and telecommunications engineers, all aspects of network traffic including streaming media, streaming protocols, subscription, traffic congestion, traffic shaping and fairness. This paper describes the necessary modifications to JM and NS and gives examples of educational exercises and discussions.

When source code evolves, clone management requires a mechanism to efficiently and incrementally detect code clones in the new revision. This paper introduces an incremental clone detection tool, called ClemanX. Our tool represents code fragments as subtrees of Abstract Syntax Trees (ASTs), measures their similarity levels based on their characteristic vectors of structural features, and solves the task of incrementally detecting similar code as an incremental distance-based clustering problem. Our empirical evaluation on large-scale software projects shows the usefulness and good performance of ClemanX.

A face candidate is first allocated from the input frame and then normalized to 200x200 pixels images. The textureness of candidates is then measured by the combination of BDIP and BVLC moments and classified into face and non-face ones by a SVM classifier which is known as efficient classification tool. In SVM learning, a DB of 2500 faces and 2500 non faces has been created under different light conditions and face expressions. The experiments showed that the effectiveness of the used features for SVM based classification issue in the face-detection system.

However, providing versioning capability for a hypermedia system raises several important structural and cognitive issues. Our research has produced Molhado, the first hypermedia infrastructure that applies the product versioning model to versioned hypermedia. Molhado not only supports configuration management for hypermedia structures in a fine-grained manner, but also provides version control for individual hyperlinks and document nodes. This paper explains how the product versioning model in Molhado addresses serious issues identified by earlier research on versioned hypermedia. We will also discuss the new issues raised by using this versioning model.

Most of these derivatives have a strong cytotoxic activity on three human tumor cell lines (KB, Hep-G2 and MCF7). Analogs 17b and 17f showed a high cytotoxicity against KB and Hep-G2 cancer cell lines comparable to paclitaxel and ellipticine.
