Bacillus subtilis is a widely used bacterial strain in probiotic production. The strains belong t... more Bacillus subtilis is a widely used bacterial strain in probiotic production. The strains belong to this species are endosporogenic, tolerant to acidic pH conditions in the stomach, and many have been shown to produce enzymes that aid in food digestion and inhibit pathogenic microorganisms. In this study, a detection and qualitification method was developed based on amplification of aprE gene ultilising realtime PCR. The aprE target gene encodes subtilisin toxin precursor and is a highly conservative and specific gene of B. subtilis. The method yielded high sensitivity with LOD is 102 (CFU/mL), LOQ is 102 (CFU/mL), specificity, and accuracy are both 100%. The preparatory tools were constructed using cycle threshold (Ct) compare with B. subtilis concentration, which showed linear correlation (R2 = 1, slope = - 3.584).

Bifidobacterium strains with probiotic effects have been widely used in dairy products, food addi... more Bifidobacterium strains with probiotic effects have been widely used in dairy products, food additives and pharmaceuticals. Especially, Bifidobacterium bifidum (B. bifidum) is usually presented into food products such as functional food. However, it is difficult to detect, and quantify B. bifidum in a sample with a combination of different probiotics. In Vietnam, there is no official standard method to identify and quantify B. bifidum in the sample with the mix of probiotic species. To fulfil the requirements of a robust quality management, we have developed a quantitative real-time PCR assay based on groEL gene for accurate identification and quantification of Bifidobacterium bifidum. The developed assay allows an unambiguous speciesspecific detection. By analyzing, comparing and using mathematical statistics, the article assessing the gap between rich and poor the community population in the mountainous of Binh Dinh province based on the average income per capita\ month and is detailed into the criteria are the GINI coefficient, the standard “40%” and the gap 20% of the richest household quintile and 20% the poorest income. The assessment results show that the gap between rich and poor in the period 2010 - 2018 reaches a relatively fair level (according to World Bank - WB standards) and tends to increase. Moreover, through the method of uneven statistical grouping and scoring assessment, the local rich and poor differentiation is divided into 3 distinct groups. Conventional microbiological methods are often time consuming and labor-intensive. Real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method will allow to identify and quantify rapidly Lactobacilli probiotics in food. In this study, the thermal shock protein target region (hsp60) was used to identify Lactobacillus acidophilus species. The limit of detection, specificity, and accuracy were of 10 4 , 100 %, 100 %, respectively. This method is appropriate for application of detection of L. acidophilus bacteria in serveral food supplements.

Lactobacillus has a biological effect to supports digestion system. Therefore, it is widely used ... more Lactobacillus has a biological effect to supports digestion system. Therefore, it is widely used in dairy products such as yoghurt, food additives and pharmaceuticals. Lactobacillus acidophilus (L. acidophilus) is often used in fermented dairy products such as yoghurt and functional products. However, in Vietnam, there is currently no standard method for quantifying L. acidophilus. In this study, a quantitative method of L. acidophilus using real-time PCR based on a specific fragment of Hsp gene was developed. The limit of quantification of the method is 105 CFU/g/mL that is suitable for quality assessment of probiotic products with greater quality claims than 106 CFU/g/mL. The specificity of the method is of 100% when compared with nonspecific strains and repeatability is of Sr < 0.125 in accordance with the requirements of ISO 16140: 2005 and AOAC: 2016 annex F for method evaluation microbiology.

The study presents the results of the adsorption ability of phosphate ion (PO43-) in aqueous solu... more The study presents the results of the adsorption ability of phosphate ion (PO43-) in aqueous solution using ZnO nanomaterials fabricated by electrochemical method. The effects of initial pH (1-8), contact time (0-180 minutes), initial adsorbent dosages (0.2-1.2 g/L), and initial concentrations of PO43- ion (10-100 mg/L) have been studied at ambient temperatures (25°C±2°C). The results found the optimal conditions for adsorption of PO43- at pH=5, 90 minutes of equilibrium time, and 0.6 g/L of adsorbent dosages. The model of Langmuir has been found perfectly adequate to describe the equilibrium results of adsorption and the maximum capacity has been determined to be 101,01 mg/g. The results are promising for the use of ZnO nanomaterials to remove PO43- ion from the aqueous solution as well as the application of wastewater treatment in real conditions.

Chi Acinetobacter bao gồm khoảng 65 loài, trong đó nhóm Acinetobacter calcoaceticus - Acinetobacter baumannii complex được xác định là nguyên nhân gây ra hơn 80% trường hợp nhiễm trùng tại bệnh viện ở bệnh nhân suy giảm miễn dịch. Các phân tích kiểu hình hiện có không đủ để xác định chính xác và phân biệt các loài Acinetobacter spp. quan trọng về mặt lâm sàng. Trong tổng số 480 mẫu rau ăn sống và thịt chế biến sẵn được thu thập tại 6 quận nội thành Hà Nội gồm Đống Đa, Hoàng Mai, Hai Bà Trưng, Long Biên, Hà Đông, Cầu Giấy, có 288 mẫu (chiếm 60%) mẫu nhiễm Acinetobacter spp. Kết quả định danh bằng kỹ thuật MALDI-TOF MS ghi nhận 208 (43%, n = 480) mẫu nhiễm Acinetobacter calcoaceticus-Acinetobacter baumannii complex, trong đó 156 (65%, n = 240) mẫu rau ăn sống và 52 (22%, n = 240) mẫu thịt nhiễm Acinetobacter calcoaceticus-Acinetobacter baumannii complex. Việc đánh giá sai lêch độ trụ thường dựa trên dữ liệu điểm đo xác định bằng máy đo ba toạ độ hoặc các máy quét 3D, máy đo độ tròn. Hiện nay, có 4 thuật toán được sử dụng để tính sai lệch độ trụ: mặt trụ bình phương tối thiểu (Least Square Cylinder – LSC), mặt trụ ngoại tiếp nhỏ nhất (Mimimum Circumscibed Cylinder – MCC), mặt trụ nội tiếp lớn nhất (Maximum Inscribed Cylinder – MIC) và mặt trụ miền tối thiểu (Minumum Zone Cylinder – MZC). Bài báo trình bày phương pháp sử dụng thuật toán tối ưu tính toán đường kính, sai lêch độ trụ từ bộ dữ liệu điểm đo và so sánh kết quả theo cả 4 phương pháp trên với kết quả của máy đo toạ độ (Coordinate Measuring Machine - CMM) với độ sai lệch không vượt quá 0,8 µm.

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) has been applied worldwide for in-used engines, especially CNG engin... more Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) has been applied worldwide for in-used engines, especially CNG engines that are converted from the conventional engines. However, it encounters the problem related to the low power and high fuel consumption of the conventional engine fueled by CNG. This paper presents an experimental study on performance enhancement of a CNG engine converted from the spark ignition engine by the implementation of fuel additive Maz 100. In experimental work, a fuel additive supplying system was developed to impose a certain amount of fuel additive to the intake manifold of the test engine. The study results show that when using Maz 100, the brake power of the test engine improves approximately 6.75% on average at full load conditions. The brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) reduces 6.49% on average at full load and 3.53% on average at partial load condition. In addition, besides the benefit of performance enhancement, exhaust emissions of the test engine in the case of operating with fuel additive have changed considerably. Particularly, the CO emission reduces 36.1% at full load and 18.4% on average at partial load conditions. The HC emission reduces 37.1% at full load and 35.0% on average at partial load conditions. The NO x emission increases slightly in low-speed regimes and reduces in high-speed regimes when the engine operates at the full opened throttle condition. At partial load condition and speed of 3000 rpm, the NO x emission reduces 22.6% on average.

While facet‐controlled and oxide‐derived Cu materials have been touted as promising catalysts, their stability has remained problematic and poorly understood. Herein we uncover changes in the chemical and morphological state of supported and unsupported Cu2O nanocubes during operation in low‐current H‐Cells and in high‐current gas diffusion electrodes (GDEs) using neutral pH buffer conditions. While unsupported nanocubes achieved a sustained C2+ Faradaic efficiency of around 60 % for 40 h, the dispersion on a carbon support sharply shifted the selectivity pattern towards C1 products. Although RANSAC is the most widely used robust estimator in computer vision, it has certain limit... more Although RANSAC is the most widely used robust estimator in computer vision, it has certain limitations making it ineffective in some situations, such as the motion estimation problem, in which uncertainty on the image features changes according to the capturing conditions. The greatest problem is that the threshold used by RANSAC to detect inliers cannot be changed adaptively; instead it is fixed by the user. An adaptive scale algorithm must therefore be applied in such cases. In this paper, we propose a new adaptive scale robust estimator that adaptively finds the best solution with the best scale to fit the inliers, without the need for predefined information. Our new adaptive scale estimator matches the residual probability density from an estimate and the standard Gaussian probability density function to find the best inlier scale. Our algorithm is evaluated in several motion estimation experiments under varying conditions and the results are compared with several of the latest adaptive-scale robust estimators.

Việc đánh giá sai lêch độ trụ thường dựa trên dữ liệu điểm đo xác định bằng máy đo ba toạ độ hoặc các máy quét 3D, máy đo độ tròn. Hiện nay, có 4 thuật toán được sử dụng để tính sai lệch độ trụ: mặt trụ bình phương tối thiểu (Least Square Cylinder – LSC), mặt trụ ngoại tiếp nhỏ nhất (Mimimum Circumscibed Cylinder – MCC), mặt trụ nội tiếp lớn nhất (Maximum Inscribed Cylinder – MIC) và mặt trụ miền tối thiểu (Minumum Zone Cylinder – MZC). Bài báo trình bày phương pháp sử dụng thuật toán tối ưu tính toán đường kính, sai lêch độ trụ từ bộ dữ liệu điểm đo và so sánh kết quả theo cả 4 phương pháp trên với kết quả của máy đo toạ độ (Coordinate Measuring Machine - CMM) với độ sai lệch không vượt quá 0,8 µm.

However, it encounters the problem related to the low power and high fuel consumption of the conventional engine fueled by CNG. This paper presents an experimental study on performance enhancement of a CNG engine converted from the spark ignition engine by the implementation of fuel additive Maz 100. In experimental work, a fuel additive supplying system was developed to impose a certain amount of fuel additive to the intake manifold of the test engine. The study results show that when using Maz 100, the brake power of the test engine improves approximately 6.75% on average at full load conditions. The brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) reduces 6.49% on average at full load and 3.53% on average at partial load condition. In addition, besides the benefit of performance enhancement, exhaust emissions of the test engine in the case of operating with fuel additive have changed considerably. Particularly, the CO emission reduces 36.1% at full load and 18.4% on average at partial load conditions. The HC emission reduces 37.1% at full load and 35.0% on average at partial load conditions. The NO x emission increases slightly in low-speed regimes and reduces in high-speed regimes when the engine operates at the full opened throttle condition. At partial load condition and speed of 3000 rpm, the NO x emission reduces 22.6% on average.

While facet‐controlled and oxide‐derived Cu materials have been touted as promising catalysts, their stability has remained problematic and poorly understood. Herein we uncover changes in the chemical and morphological state of supported and unsupported Cu2O nanocubes during operation in low‐current H‐Cells and in high‐current gas diffusion electrodes (GDEs) using neutral pH buffer conditions. While unsupported nanocubes achieved a sustained C2+ Faradaic efficiency of around 60 % for 40 h, the dispersion on a carbon support sharply shifted the selectivity pattern towards C1 products. Although RANSAC is the most widely used robust estimator in computer vision, it has certain limit... more Although RANSAC is the most widely used robust estimator in computer vision, it has certain limitations making it ineffective in some situations, such as the motion estimation problem, in which uncertainty on the image features changes according to the capturing conditions. The greatest problem is that the threshold used by RANSAC to detect inliers cannot be changed adaptively; instead it is fixed by the user. An adaptive scale algorithm must therefore be applied in such cases. In this paper, we propose a new adaptive scale robust estimator that adaptively finds the best solution with the best scale to fit the inliers, without the need for predefined information. Our new adaptive scale estimator matches the residual probability density from an estimate and the standard Gaussian probability density function to find the best inlier scale. Our algorithm is evaluated in several motion estimation experiments under varying conditions and the results are compared with several of the latest adaptive-scale robust estimators.
