The measurement is performed with a simple apparatus consisting of an RGBD camera, a turning table, and a single point light source. The shape is reconstructed from depth images and the reflectance is estimated from changing intensities based on the Ward reflectance model. It was confirmed that our system can reproduce the realistic appearance of objects which can support users to perceive the material.

The idea behind video compression based on motion estimation is to save number of bits required for encoding the video. Many studies developed algorithms for storing, transmission and reducing complexity without affecting the visual quality. The more precise motion estimation results can obtain the more accurate compression technique. Actually, Motion Estimation not only can use in video compression, but also can deeply effective in different video processing applications as intelligent video surveillance, video content analysis, and video retrieval. In this paper, different Motion Estimation algorithms are described with related results which can lead to obtain effective ME algorithm.

In this paper, we propose the syntax investigation system which can investigate the syntax errors in the PHP program. This system takes each string from a PHP program as input and determines it as a correct message or error message by using the top down parsing approach. The predictive parser is used to construct the parse table, which determines the action of the input string based on the grammar production rules. These grammar rules were reconstructed if the left recursion rules are occurred to avoid the left recursion problem in the top down parsing approach. As a result, our system can reproduce the correct messages, error messages, and location errors. It was confirmed that our system can be useful to investigate the syntax effectively in PHP programming language.

Our system uses two handheld cameras, a small LED light, a turning table, and a chessboard with markers. The two cameras are used as a view and light cameras respectively to acquire incoming and outgoing light directions simultaneously, and the brightness at each position on the target material. The reflectance is approximated by using the Ward BRDF (Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function) model. The normal directions and all model parameters at each position on the material are estimated by non-linear optimization. As the result of experiment, the normal directions for all spatial points were properly estimated, and the correct colors of rendered materials were reproduced. Also, highlight changes on the surfaces were observed when we moved the light source or the rendered materials. It was confirmed that our system was easy to use and was able to measure the spatially-v...

The system is configured to obtain the different incoming and outgoing light directions, and the brightness of pixels on the surface of the material. The anisotropic Ward BRDF (Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function) model is used to approximate the reflectance, and the model parameters are estimated from the incoming and outgoing angles and the brightness of pixels by using a non-linear optimization method. The initial values of the anisotropic direction are given based on the peak specular lobe on the surface, and the best-fitted one is chosen for the anisotropic direction. The optimized parameters show the well-fitted results between the observed brightness and the BRDF model for each RGB channel. It was confirmed that our system was able to measure t...

Even though CCTV systems may monitor a particular event, it still requires recognized data are to be more accurate and appearance invariant when abnormal activities are occurred and analysed. Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) are widely used over the world for automatic banking transactions. Some of ATM users are facing with unlawful activities such as money snatching and customer assault by murder. CCTV devices are set up for security that becomes an important factor for covering criminal activities. Many researchers are trying to solve this issue in different ways of Human Activity Recognition. In our system, we tend to use compressed video sequences MPEG flow instead of computationally expensive Optical Flow (OF). Compresse...

Objects with super pixels are tracked by Compressive Sensing (CS) and the generative structural part model is designed to be adaptive to variation of deformable objects. CS can precisely reconstruct sparse signal with a small amount of sampling data. This system creates the sparse representation (SR) dictionary representing the nutrient deficiency tracking system for paddy plants to support the healthily growth of the whole field. This system uses compressed domain features that can be exploited to map the semantic features of consecutive frames. As the CS is a developing signal processing technique, a sparse signal is reconstructed with efficient sampling rate and creates the sparse dictionary. The SR for paddy plant health system can build rich information about paddy plants from signaling devices and c...
