The industrialization process has quickly changed the social and economic landscape of the community, from agrarian to industrial society. The presence of some multinational companies that have been exploiting the natural resources in Bahodopi, raises hopes for the local community for improving their income. At least the companies can involve in the local community development through their Company Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. Hydrograph is a way of predicting the amount of flood discharge plans in a watershed. Each waters... more Hydrograph is a way of predicting the amount of flood discharge plans in a watershed. Each watershed has different drainage characteristics due to the topographic shape of the watershed, land use, river typology (length, number, and slope), height and duration of rainfall. This research was conducted in Palu River Basin, with a basin area of 3. 060,388 km2, mismatch analysis of watershed and synthetic unit hydrograph, rain and discharge analysis, hydrograph discharge design analysis using optimal synthetic unit hydrograph parameter model. From the results of research calculation of Synthetic Unit Hydrograph Nakayasu Method has big enough key compared with another method. By using hydrograph model of flood plan for Palu River Watershed with the approach of Synthetic Unit Hydrograph Nakayasu, hydrograph calculation of flood in Palu river watershed, obtained alpha coefficient equal to 0,651 and Tr coefficient 0,3 with cash value model 71,491%. with cash value model 71,491%.

Beach damage is a serious problem which requires prompt action from the government. Adding more s... more Beach damage is a serious problem which requires prompt action from the government. Adding more sediment to the beach (beach nourishment) is one of the efforts to cope with the problem. However, the sediment filled is usually carried away by the wave, which consequently brings maintenance costs for dealing with the sandpile during certain periods, as well as the need for large volume of excavation. One of the alternatives to reduce the loss of the sediment pile is by constructing off-shore submerged structure with the crest of the structure is set submerged and made from geotube. The objective of this study was to identify the influence of wave steepness to the beach profile formed behind the structure. The physical model test was carried out to the sand of Tanjung Ann beach (d 50 =1.47 mm) under two conditions: without the submerged structure and with the geotube submerged structure within wave period (1; 1.2; 1.4; 1.6; and 1.8 second), wave height (6,7,8,9,10,12,14, and 16 cm).
