Characterization, conservation, and utilization of genetic resources is essential for the sustain... more Characterization, conservation, and utilization of genetic resources is essential for the sustainability in agriculture. Plant genetic resources are important for breeding efforts designed for the generation of new cultivars or for the improvement of existing ones. Green bean has been cultivated extensively in Turkey giving rise to local accessions through selection over time and adaptation to various environmental conditions. The objective of the present study was to determine the genetic relationships of green bean accessions collected from Kırşehir Province of Turkey, located at the central Anatolia. Within a population of 275 green bean accessions, 50 accessions were selected on the basis of morphological observations for further evaluation with SSR and STS/SCAR markers together with 4 reference cultivars of Andean and Mesoamerican origin. SSR markers selected on the basis of high polymorphism information content revealed the genetic relatedness of selected green bean accessions. STS/SCAR markers associated with bean anthracnose, common bacterial blight, white mold, halo blight, and phaseolin protein demonstrated the inheritance of resistance traits of local accessions at the selected loci. These findings may help better utilize genetic resources and furthermore are expected to facilitate forthcoming breeding studies for the generation of novel cultivars well adapted to the region.

The animal material of the study consisted of quails of similar live weight selected from a rando... more The animal material of the study consisted of quails of similar live weight selected from a randomly mated 14-week-old flock. Selected 29 male and 29 female quails were placed in individual cages with a ratio of 1-1 male females. The chicks obtained from this flock were fed ad libitum with 24% crude protein and 2900 kcal/kg metabolic energy from hatching to the sixth week of the experiment. The sexes of those who completed their development up to three weeks in growth cages by marking were determined and placed in special cages one by one according to their genders. In the study, 86 quails belonging to each family, including 3 siblings, were used. At the end of the trial, the survivability decreased to 75.58%. When considered as the sum of Male+Female, it is seen that the average of the starting weight is 8.776 g, the final weight measurement is 176.16 g and the average weight is 86.47 g. While this average weight is 85.06 g in females, it increases to 87.43 in males. Nohut bitkisi bitkisel kaynaklı protein temini açısından oldukça önemli bir bitki olup son yıllar... more Nohut bitkisi bitkisel kaynaklı protein temini açısından oldukça önemli bir bitki olup son yıllarda iklim değişikliğinin getirdiği kuraklık sorunu üretimi sınırlamaya başlamıştır. Bunun sonucu olarak ıslah programlarının bu yöne doğru yönlendirilmesi gerekliliği ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu çalışma ile Kırşehir ilinden toplanan yerel nohut genotiplerinin kuraklığa toleransı ile genetik olarak bunun bağlantılı bölgelerin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bunun için toplanan 67 nohut genotipi içinden kuraklığa toleranslı görülen KMNG-27 ile KKNG-09 genotiplerinin çaprazlanması ile elde edilen KGN-15 genotipi üzerinde çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada incelenen özellikler çimlenmeye kadar geçen gün sayısı, çiçeklenme gün sayısı, bitki boyu, bitki başına bakla sayısı, biyolojik verim, 100 tane ağırlığı, hasat indeksi, bağıl yaprak su içeriği, membran geçirgenlik indeksi, su alma indeksi, verim, kök uzunluğu, kök sürgün uzunluğu, kök sürgün oranı, kök taze ağırlığı, taze sürgün ağırlığı, kök kuru ağırlığı, sürgün kuru ağırlığı ve kök kuru ağırlığının toplam bitki kuru ağırlığına oranıdır. Sonuç olarak Yozgat ilinin Kırşehir iline göre yağış dağılımının daha düzenli olması nedeniyle fenotipik ve genotipik özellikler bakımından daha iyi durumda olduğu görülmüştür. Kullanılan 23 QTL’den 6’sı majör etkili olurken 17’si ise minör etkili olarak belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre pozitif bir etkiye sahip olan QTL’lerin donör ebeveyn alellerinin özellik değerlerinin artırılmasına katkıda bulunabileceğini göstermiştir. Negatif etkiye sahip olanlar ise alıcı konumunda bulunan ebeveynin daha yüksek özelliğe sahip olduğunu göstermiştir. Her iki lokasyon için toprak üstü kısımlar için Kırşehir için 6 QTL ve Yozgat için 7 QTL tanımlanırken kök ile ilgili özellikler için incelenen özellikler için Kırşehir için 11 QTL ve Yozgat için 4 QTL tanımlanmıştır.

The aim of this study was to determine the genotype-environment (GE) interaction and also to dete... more The aim of this study was to determine the genotype-environment (GE) interaction and also to determine stable corn cultivar for grain yield in Turkey. The study was carried out from 2 years and 3 different locations around the Central and South Anatolia Region. GE interaction was analyzed by linear regression techniques. Stability was estimated by the Eberhart and Russell methods. According to the stability analysis, it's seen that the cultivar 3 was the most stable for grain yielding. Among the cultivars, the highest grain yield was obtained from cultivar 3 (9.4 t ha-1) at across environments. This genotype had regression coefficient (i b =1) around unity and deviations from regression values (ij δ =0) around zero; considering that they are responsive to environment changes and they can be recommended for favorable environments..

Although commercial chicken genotypes have increased production and quality to a certain extent, ... more Although commercial chicken genotypes have increased production and quality to a certain extent, it is not possible to completely replace domestic breeds. They need to be protected and brought into production, especially in the regions where they are found as genetic resources. The aim of this study is to determine the reactions of domestic chicken genotypes in the provinces of Bingöl (Bintav), Bitlis (Bittav), Elâzığ (Eltav), Muş (Muştav) and Tunceli (Tunçtav) to environmental change and to determine the environmental variables that affect the change the most. For this purpose, chickens collected from these provinces were distributed to all provinces in a balanced way, and their growth and development were monitored. All measurable climatic variables in the growth and development periods were measured and their effects on the development and maturity periods of the chickens were tried to be determined. Animals were raised in small family businesses with the arrangement made instead of large commercial enterprises. In the study, forty chicks of each breed were given per household and the Ataks commercial genotype was included in the control. As a result, in the study in which the phenotypic model was used, the average weight of males and females at the growth stages was 15.48 g in males and 16.11 in females. In adulthood, it was determined as 40.24 in males and 41.85 in females. It has been determined that temperature and precipitation are the variables that mostly affect growth and development. Although domestic genotypes showed a good improvement in growth, development, and body weight, they lagged the commercial genotype. However, it was observed that Tunçtav's yield increased as the altitude increased, while Muştav and Eltav were more positively affected by high precipitation and high humidity, Bintav and Bittav genotypes were more resistant to drought and their disease thresholds were higher than others in dry seasons. It was determined that not all these traits were found in the commercial genotype.

Özet Bu çalışmanın amacı, İç Anadolu Bölgesinde faaliyette bulunan özellikle cips grubu gıda ürün... more Özet Bu çalışmanın amacı, İç Anadolu Bölgesinde faaliyette bulunan özellikle cips grubu gıda ürünlerin dağıtımı ile ilgilenen firmalardaki çalışanların yöneticilerine duydukları güven düzeylerini belirlemektir. Bu kapsamda toplam 210 çalışana anket uygulanarak veriler elde edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; çalışanların işverenleri hakkında belli bir seviyede güven duymakla birlikte kafaların netleşmediği ve bir miktarda karışıklığın olduğu görülmektedir. Çalışanların %97 sini erkek çalışanlar oluşturmaktadır. Çalışanların %43'lük kısmı 20-29 yaş aralığındaki çalışanlardan oluşmaktadır. Çalışanların %57 gibi büyük çoğunluğu orta öğretim mezunlarından oluşmaktadır. Maaş düzeyleri incelendiğinde çalışanların genellikle asgari ücret seviyesinde maaş aldıkları görülmektedir. Çalışanların kıdemleri incelendiğinde %40'lık kısmı 6-10 yıl arası çalışanlardan oluşmaktadır. Yapılan korelasyon analizine göre yaş ilerledikçe idarecileri tanıma daha da arttığı için güven duygusu ve bilgileri paylaşma oranları da artmaktadır.

Field experiment was conducted to evaluate Rhizobium inoculation and nitrogen application on thre... more Field experiment was conducted to evaluate Rhizobium inoculation and nitrogen application on three chickpea cultivars as a winter crop in 1995-96 and 1996-97 grawing seasons in Hatay ecological conditions. There were significant differences in seed yield, biological yield, pods per plant, branches per plant and plant height among the treatments. However, treatment effect on 100 seed weight, harvest index and first pod height were not significant. Rhizobium inoculation and nitrogen application significantly increased seed yield, total above ground dry matter and pods per plant. Increased biological yield and pods per plant positively correlated with seed yield. Among the cultivars tested, Akçin 91 outyielded ILC 195 and Eser 87. Rhizobium inoculation increased seed yield by 20 % over uninoculated control.

Madencilik sektörü çalışanlar açısından en zor alanlardan birisidir. Bu amaçla madencilik sektörlerinden birisi olan kömür madenlerinde çalışan kişilerin mesleklerindeki tükenmişliklerinin belirlenmesi önemlidir. Bu alanda uygulanabilecek iyileştirici yöntemlerin bulunması madencilik sektörüne önemli ve olumlu katkılar sağlayabilecektir. Bu çalışma kömür üretimi yapan işletmelerde rastgele seçilen 240 kişi ile Maslach Tükenmişlik Ölçeği ile elde edilen birincil veriler kullanılarak yapılmıştır. 22 adetten oluşan sorulara beş ayrı cevap vermeleri istenmiştir. Sorulara cevap verirken çalışanlar çalışma alanlarına göre gruplara ayrılmışlardır. Buna göre 7 ayrı grupta toplanan meslek gruplarına göre cevaplar değerlendirmeye alınmışlardır. Elde edilen sonuçların analizleri R Project istatistiksel paket programıyla yapılmıştır. Meslek grupları arasındaki farklılıklar ki-kare testi uygulanarak belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, meslek grupları arasında tükenmişlik bakımından önemli farklılıkların olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

This study was conducted to determine the effects of weed density and different weed control trea... more This study was conducted to determine the effects of weed density and different weed control treatments on chickpea yield and yield components. The experiment was carried out in split plot design with 3 replications in experimental fields of Kirsehir Ahi Evran University during 2016 and 2017 crop seasons. Total nine treatments (no weed control, permanent weed control, one-time hoeing, two-time hoeing, three-time hoeing, herbicide application after emergence, one-time hoeing with herbicide application, two-time hoeing with herbicide application and three-time hoeing with herbicide application) were compared to know the most effective weed control method. Vaccaria pyramidata Medik., Sinapis arvensis L., Acroptilon repens L. weed species were found to be the most intense in the experimental area. All weed control applications had significant effect on chickpea yield and yield components compared to weedy plots. Three-time hoeing with herbicide application increased the yield by 361.55-478.50% compared to weedy plots. Likewise, three-time hoeing application even increased the yield by 348.50-357.09% compared to weedy plots. The results revealed that three-time hoeing with herbicide and three-time hoeing applications stood out in weed management to obtain a good yield in chickpea cultivation at Kirsehir province.

For this purpose, chickens collected from these provinces were distributed to all provinces in a balanced way, and their growth and development were monitored. All measurable climatic variables in the growth and development periods were measured and their effects on the development and maturity periods of the chickens were tried to be determined. Animals were raised in small family businesses with the arrangement made instead of large commercial enterprises. In the study, forty chicks of each breed were given per household and the Ataks commercial genotype was included in the control. As a result, in the study in which the phenotypic model was used, the average weight of males and females at the growth stages was 15.48 g in males and 16.11 in females. In adulthood, it was determined as 40.24 in males and 41.85 in females. It has been determined that temperature and precipitation are the variables that mostly affect growth and development. Although domestic genotypes showed a good improvement in growth, development, and body weight, they lagged the commercial genotype. However, it was observed that Tunçtav's yield increased as the altitude increased, while Muştav and Eltav were more positively affected by high precipitation and high humidity, Bintav and Bittav genotypes were more resistant to drought and their disease thresholds were higher than others in dry seasons. It was determined that not all these traits were found in the commercial genotype.

Özet Bu çalışmanın amacı, İç Anadolu Bölgesinde faaliyette bulunan özellikle cips grubu gıda ürün... more Özet Bu çalışmanın amacı, İç Anadolu Bölgesinde faaliyette bulunan özellikle cips grubu gıda ürünlerin dağıtımı ile ilgilenen firmalardaki çalışanların yöneticilerine duydukları güven düzeylerini belirlemektir. Bu kapsamda toplam 210 çalışana anket uygulanarak veriler elde edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; çalışanların işverenleri hakkında belli bir seviyede güven duymakla birlikte kafaların netleşmediği ve bir miktarda karışıklığın olduğu görülmektedir. Çalışanların %97 sini erkek çalışanlar oluşturmaktadır. Çalışanların %43'lük kısmı 20-29 yaş aralığındaki çalışanlardan oluşmaktadır. Çalışanların %57 gibi büyük çoğunluğu orta öğretim mezunlarından oluşmaktadır. Maaş düzeyleri incelendiğinde çalışanların genellikle asgari ücret seviyesinde maaş aldıkları görülmektedir. Çalışanların kıdemleri incelendiğinde %40'lık kısmı 6-10 yıl arası çalışanlardan oluşmaktadır. Yapılan korelasyon analizine göre yaş ilerledikçe idarecileri tanıma daha da arttığı için güven duygusu ve bilgileri paylaşma oranları da artmaktadır.

Field experiment was conducted to evaluate Rhizobium inoculation and nitrogen application on thre... more Field experiment was conducted to evaluate Rhizobium inoculation and nitrogen application on three chickpea cultivars as a winter crop in 1995-96 and 1996-97 grawing seasons in Hatay ecological conditions. There were significant differences in seed yield, biological yield, pods per plant, branches per plant and plant height among the treatments. However, treatment effect on 100 seed weight, harvest index and first pod height were not significant. Rhizobium inoculation and nitrogen application significantly increased seed yield, total above ground dry matter and pods per plant. Increased biological yield and pods per plant positively correlated with seed yield. Among the cultivars tested, Akçin 91 outyielded ILC 195 and Eser 87. Rhizobium inoculation increased seed yield by 20 % over uninoculated control.

Madencilik sektörü çalışanlar açısından en zor alanlardan birisidir. Bu amaçla madencilik sektörlerinden birisi olan kömür madenlerinde çalışan kişilerin mesleklerindeki tükenmişliklerinin belirlenmesi önemlidir. Bu alanda uygulanabilecek iyileştirici yöntemlerin bulunması madencilik sektörüne önemli ve olumlu katkılar sağlayabilecektir. Bu çalışma kömür üretimi yapan işletmelerde rastgele seçilen 240 kişi ile Maslach Tükenmişlik Ölçeği ile elde edilen birincil veriler kullanılarak yapılmıştır. 22 adetten oluşan sorulara beş ayrı cevap vermeleri istenmiştir. Sorulara cevap verirken çalışanlar çalışma alanlarına göre gruplara ayrılmışlardır. Buna göre 7 ayrı grupta toplanan meslek gruplarına göre cevaplar değerlendirmeye alınmışlardır. Elde edilen sonuçların analizleri R Project istatistiksel paket programıyla yapılmıştır. Meslek grupları arasındaki farklılıklar ki-kare testi uygulanarak belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, meslek grupları arasında tükenmişlik bakımından önemli farklılıkların olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

The experiment was carried out in split plot design with 3 replications in experimental fields of Kirsehir Ahi Evran University during 2016 and 2017 crop seasons. Total nine treatments (no weed control, permanent weed control, one-time hoeing, two-time hoeing, three-time hoeing, herbicide application after emergence, one-time hoeing with herbicide application, two-time hoeing with herbicide application and three-time hoeing with herbicide application) were compared to know the most effective weed control method. Vaccaria pyramidata Medik., Sinapis arvensis L., Acroptilon repens L. weed species were found to be the most intense in the experimental area. All weed control applications had significant effect on chickpea yield and yield components compared to weedy plots. Three-time hoeing with herbicide application increased the yield by 361.55-478.50% compared to weedy plots. Likewise, three-time hoeing application even increased the yield by 348.50-357.09% compared to weedy plots. The results revealed that three-time hoeing with herbicide and three-time hoeing applications stood out in weed management to obtain a good yield in chickpea cultivation at Kirsehir province.
