Furthermore, fossil fuels combustion contributes to the emissions of greenhouse gases that lead to global warming and atmospheric pollution. Biodiesel is considered as best alternative to petroleum diesel in transport section. Biodiesel is produced by the chemical reaction of vegetable oil with the alcohol like methanol or ethanol etc. Moreover, glycerol is obtained as byproduct in this reaction. Naturally, with increase in production of biodiesel, crude glycerol production has been increasing. Many impurities are present in crude glycerol due to its use in pure form is difficult and need expensive refining process. So, there is need for this crude glycerol to transform into other value added products. Crude glycerol consumption is of prime importance due t...

Essential oils constitute various bioactive components that can be extracted from different parts of plants through hydro-distillation, steam-distillation and supercritical fluid extraction. Essential oils obtained from different plants are known to contain different chemical constituents that make them useful in traditional and advanced system of medicines due to their excellent therapeutic potentials and strong bioactivities. Although natural chemical compounds obtained from essential oils can be directly used as a medicinal component but their structural modifications via different synthetic pathways increase their therapeutic potentials, medicinal importance, commercial applications and industrial uses. The basic purpose of this review article is to compile the scattered available information about different grou...

Photo chromic dyes have immense applications in optoelectronic materials, ophthalmic lenses for eye wear technology, optical data storage and in smart textiles due to their active response to light. Recent applications of functional dyes are in medical, such as for photo dynamic therapy. Functional dyes also have application in pH sensors and optical chemical sensors.

Here we provide brief information on recent developments in fertilizer (mainly N, and P) production and their use, improvement in nutrient efficiency, and the immobilization of fertilizers to minimize environmental impact. There are diverse physical, industrial, and natural strategies existing for the fertilizer immobilization, for example, adsorption strategy, exemplification technique, bio-based epoxy covered urea technique, starch-based superabsorbent polymer, graphene oxide technique, enzymatic technique, and microbial strategy. All strategies have distinctive applications since all these strategies can't relevant for all smaller scale and macronutrient, so a unique strategy is used to immobilize the constituent, for instance, graphene technique is used for phosphorus and give considerably more efficient results when compared to t...

To recapitulate the properties and significance of deep eutectic solvents (DESs), this review focus on characteristics of deep eutectic solvents, as well as their applications in electrochemistry, catalytic activity, biodegradability, bio-catalysis, as aromatic hydrocarbons, extraction and separation. The existing data and references are appraisal to go over the developments of DESs.
