In this paper we describe our own construction of a tuneable light source based on a set of light... more In this paper we describe our own construction of a tuneable light source based on a set of light emitting diodes covering the visible spectrum using a homogenizing rod instead commonly used low energy-efficient integrating spheres. The expected prime application of the source is a medical endoscopic system, however it is possible to use it also for other purposes requiring both multispectral operation and a tuneable white light source. We describe the construction of the source and include precise characterization of the output white light – distribution of CCT, Duv, Δu′ v ′ and colour rendering indexes (Ra, R9, Rf , Rg) of light in several planes located at various distances. The obtained results prove that our source is characterized by very good colour rendition according to the Ra and Rf method for various correlated colour temperatures (2700–6500) K. High power LEDs replace traditional light sources in all possible lighting applications, causing ... more High power LEDs replace traditional light sources in all possible lighting applications, causing significant problems in assessing the quality of lighting. This issue is not limited only to the construction aspects of the measuring equipment, but also has a cognitive dimension. The article presents an overview of the current state of knowledge on color rendering and evaluation of discomfort glare in relation to the widespread use of LEDs in lighting. Some selected parameters developed copyright sources with LED sets. Basic limitations in UGR measurement were indicated.

Dobierając sposób zasilania można w ograniczonym zakresie sterować parametrami optycznymi źródeł światła zawierających diody elektroluminescencyjne. W referacie przedstawiono wyniki pomiarów zmiany tych parametrów dla zestawu diod. Dotyczyły one zmian: mocy optycznej, długości fali dla której występuje maksimum emisji oraz szerokości połówkowej. Zamieszczono również przykładowe wyniki pomiarów widmowych charakterystyk badanego układu z zastosowaniem kamery smugowej.

Emergency lighting luminaires should provide adequate visibility of the presented content, both in terms of luminance and its distribution as well as in terms of color. In the paper the analysis of the application of displays built in LCD, OLED, DLP andLCoS technologyto construct emergency and evacuation lighting luminaireswith variable and programmable content. Streszczenie. Oprawy oświetleniowe pozwalają obecnie na dynamiczną zmianę strumienia świetlnego poprzez regulatory i ściemniacze. Nowoczesne oprawy LED dają dodatkowo możliwość modyfikacji parametrów kolorymetrycznych, głównie temperatury barwowej. Oprawy oświetlenia awaryjnego powinny zapewniać odpowiednią widoczność prezentowanych treści, zarówno pod względem luminancji i jej rozkładu jak również pod względem barwy. W artykule przeprowadzona będzie analiza zastosowania wyświetlaczy zbudowanych w technologii LCD, OLED, DLP i LCoS do konstruowania opraw oświetlenia awaryjnego i ewakuacyjnego o zmiennej i programowanej treści. (Analiza wykorzystania wyświetlaczy ciekłokrystalicznych do budowy opraw oświetlenia awaryjnego o zmiennej treści).

Okres badawczy obejmował okres od marca 2009 roku do lutego 2010 roku. Badaniami obj to 6 studni kopanych zbudowanych z kr gów betonowych lub z kamienia. W analizowanych próbkach ka dorazowo wykonywano oznaczenia nast puj cych wska ników wody: azotu azotanowego(V), azotu azotanowego(III), azotu amonowego. Wyniki bada wskazuj , i słabo zabezpieczone studnie cechuj si gorsz jako ci wody. Dodatkowo studnie, w których zwierciadło wody zalegało nisko, równie charakteryzowały si zdecydowanie gorsz jako ci wody ni te, które zlokalizowane były wy ej. Spo ród wszystkich analizowanych studni woda z dwóch z nich charakteryzowała si ponadnormatywnym st eniem azotanów(V) i azotanów(III), natomiast pozostałe studnie spełniały ustawowe wymogi pod tym wzgl dem. rednie st enie amoniaku we wszystkich studniach było minimalne i w ka dej studni odpowiadało ustawowym normom.

In this paper the representation of a real didactic room is presented and calculations of glare sources’ sizes and, correlated with their spatial arrangements, position indexes are carried out. On the ground of the achieved results, practical verification of the method of glare sources’ sizes and arrangements evaluation with the use of pinhole digital camera will be performed.

This method uses a camera with CCD matrix. In the introduction some general information about glare [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6] and attempts to measure it [7] are presented. Besides, the most reliable system of glare evaluation – called the unified glare rating system UGR [8, 9] - is introduced. It imposes the necessity of estimation of the following quantities: background luminance, luminance of glare sources, their angular size and spatial arrangement (Fig. 1). A novel method for measurement of these quantities and, as a result, of the UGR index is described in Paragraph 2. It uses a pinhole digital camera. In practice this method consists in taking a series of images of the analysed area in the investigated interior. These images are used to calculate the background luminance, the luminance of each source within the field of view, their Guth position indexes and solid angles [...
Construction of optical fiber, which emits or absorbs radiation through the side surface, require... more Construction of optical fiber, which emits or absorbs radiation through the side surface, requires the use of distractions that cause local disturbance propagating. The result is a partial loss of the mods on the fiber lateral surface. It is important to determine the nature of the radiation beam. Fiber layers of helically distributed diffuse, designed and constructed in Bialystok University of Technology, allow the construction of special sensors in the UV-VIS-NIR, which can be sensitive not only to the desired range of radiation but can also be sensitive to spatial light propagation. Side optical fibres are usually associated with illumination and use in decorative lighting. Glas... more Side optical fibres are usually associated with illumination and use in decorative lighting. Glass fibres with diffusing helical layers can be applied in analysis of radiation incident on their side surface. Adequate configuration of very thin fibres, distributed in the area of the lampshade, allows analyzing the luminous flux emitted from the light source continuously. Detection system with side optical fibres, introduced to the feedback loop of the fitting’s supply system, enables monitoring selected photometric parameters of this fitting. Used optical fibres are produced of multicomponent glasses in the process of drawing and have diameter of 250m, are flexible and transparent, therefore they do not introduce the deformation of the light emission of the fitting. In the article the application of the side optical fibres in the LED lamp with auto regulation of photometric and power supply parameters is presented.
